  1. You was the fella in front of me! - see my prior post
  2. I was 15 in a queue at a local record shop, hoping to get both Coldplay And Noel's Gallagher's releases. Unfortunately missed out on Gallagher's. They were only letting two people in the shop once and I waited 30 mins to get in. The guy in front of me also asked for the Coldplay single, as I asked for it seconds later. As he gave the other guy his copy he said to me I'm afraid that was the last one, I was gutted! Until... a voice come out from under the counter saying 'no we've still got the other one here!' Apparently they were the only 2 he had in the shop! To say I was lucky is an understatement!
  3. I like both, I've only heard the Roundhouse live version, but they both kick arse! (Unlike HLH studio version that I prever live)
  4. The Roundhouse version was so cool, so raw, and had so much feeling... What the hell have have they done!!? Shame...
  5. I can't fault the first 3 albums, then "Death" happened and something died in the music (my own personal opinion) I didn't like ETIAW and I don't like this one either. I'm pretty gutted. But I do like the sound of some of the others they played live that have been broadcast. So too be fair there are always 1 or 2 tracks everyone dislikes/non-favourites on an album and just because they are singles does not mean they are the best tracks, everyone has their own personal favourites. So hopefully these are the 2, and there rest will be just fine - from what I've heard live.
  6. Actually it's not just action that counts, the feel neck is just as important, I was going to buy a US Gibson Les Paul but I could not get on with the neck, it was really uncomfortable for me, just too rounded. so I bought an Epiphone Riviera instead (http://www.epiphone.com/default.asp?ProductID=6&CollectionID=1) - the neck on those is shallow. (Gibson/Epiphone without going into "detail on guitars specs" are same company)
  7. The should do what the Smashing Pumpkins did on some later tours, do an Acoustic set to warm up the crowd before they kick arse!
  8. The (early) Foo's Rock! been a fan since I got a freebie cassette off a mag promoting the 1st album "Foo Fighters" - The last album sucks! I was gutted when I heard it... 1. Foo Fighters 2. Theres Nothing Left To Loose 3. Colour and the Shape 4. One by One 5. In Your Honor Oh and "Friend Of A Friend" recorded for the BBC Radio a few years ago and given away free on a UK mag cover cassette is better than both the "Pocket Watch" and "I.Y.H." versions. They made up for lost time with the DVD of 5 concerts (OK 2 are concert clips, 1 is audio only and the other Bonus Hidden concert)
  9. I got myself a Fender DG3, not expensive, not that naff either. I taught myself on that, took me 3 months of 2 hours solid practice every night, Just wish I learned at an earlier age, as i aint to good with lead...And I cannot read music either. But I write all my songs on that trusty well gigged and rather worn out guitar! I'm currently trying to learn "Careful Where You Stand" thats very hard work for me! Good Luck!
  10. Cheers Mate, I heard the CD3 today. Have to say that the live version of "Clocks" is awesome, as is my personal favourite Coldplay song "Square One".

Hi all, I'm Gi from London, probably the oldest here at 37. I love music I guess! I'm a singer songwriter / keyboards & guitar / played (when I was younger) in a band and gigged round London. I had a dance track played on Kiss100FM many years back.. I like too many types of music but here's a few... Coldplay, Oasis, Depeche Mode, Strokes, Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, U2, Prince, New Order, J.M.Jarre, Kraftwerk (can't quite get my head round Talk - sorry flame me!), just to name a few... Enjoy the music thats the important thing! Regards Gi
  14. Cheers I've not got the CDs... Whats the gig and d'ya the full set listing?
  15. Whats the best CD - not audience - live concert out there? (Soundboard or from TV/Radio) Live at Austin City Limits (feat M Stipe on 2 songs) Radio 1 (that mini gig just gone) Glastonbury Concerts MTV - 2005 (personal digital copy) I've download quite a few but deleted them due to poor quality or the fact they a audience mono recording - I just cant stand the clapping, chatting and singing!
