Up and coming Manchester band Barfly have been added to line-up for the Eden Festival. Playing alongside bands such as Cosmic Rough Riders, Space, Aqualung and Ian Brown, the band will be in good company. The band are also in the final stages of signing a record deal with a major independent label based in the UK and America. Pepsi all the way, it tastes more sweet. but i'm really loving the "vanilla coke" at the minute.

Ok i got the album last night ... and well i've had it on constantly. I managed to ignore the temptation of clicking a link and downloading it. I did see the band on their "Club Tour" so i had heard several of the songs live ... and to be honest "The Gloaming" and "Mxyomatosis" sound a million miles better live. "Where I End And You Begin" would probably be the best song title in history if they hadn't written a song called "Punch-Up At A Wedding". As far as my favourite song on the album goes i'm torn between four songs "There There", "2+2=5", "Sail To The Moon" and "Go To Sleep". Oh fuck it ... the whole album is unbelievable a close second to Kid A, in the stakes for their best album.

Am i the only person on here still buying records on vinyl? About four months ago i just realised how sexy (yes i said sexy) a record looks on the vinyl format. I have to say that though the sound quality isn't as good as CD there is something really special about getting records on vinyl. another CD i am really proud to have is The World Is Ours by the RAin baND, i got it the day it was released and have since discovered that it was only limited to 1300 copies world wide. And these guys are going to be mega, so i'm guessing it's going to be worth quite a bit. No i'm not what you would call musically talented. They are my friends band. They're from Manchester, and things are looking really good for them. They have just been added to the Eden Festival in Liverpool, where they will play alongside bands such as The Levellers, Aqualung, Longview, Space, IAN BROWN and Medium 21. They are currently sorting the final little details of a record deal with a major independent label, who are based in the UK and America. They will be label mates of RINGO STARR. If you want a CD i could send it, but it might take a while to get to wherever you are.

you won't be laughing when they make it. on the verge of signing a deal, single to be released in September, you will love this band in a year, if you can open your eyes to them!

yes it's a sport topic and yes it should be in the sports section but ... this needs maximum exposure so i've put it in general chat. I just want to thank our international team, for holding Spain to a 0-0 draw last night. I cried with pride when our "Wee Country" held of the second best international team in the world, to a goal-less draw, and even though we have now gone 10 games and over 900 minutes without a goal, last nights result was a victory. The Spirit of 82 is back, mostly thanks to Sammy McIllroy, who had the balls to pick part time players to play against players like Raul, Carlos Puyol, Ivan Helguera and Co.
