I don't know how to embed Youtube videos, but have you heard the XFM Residency show where Chris, Guy and Jonny hosted? It's in four parts and it's hysterical. Chris is on fire and Jonny sounds very, very sweet.

Dang, you're good, Coldplaymom, that's exactly the one I was talking about. I love when Bean asks him if he knows Rick Astley and Chris says yes, they all live on the same street, Popstar Street.

I wish I did, I loaded some stuff (Coldplay, naturallY) onto my Itunes and it appeared, I do not even remember having saved it! It was a really lovely interview, Jonny was going on about how Chris is so hard on himself and Chris goes to Jonny, "what is with you??"

You can tell when he's getting irritated.

Chris gives better interviews when he is comfortable with the interviewer. I was listening to an old interview with the deejays that gave Coldplay their big break in Los Angeles, and he was laughing and joking and having a great time. He tends to be grumpier when he's asked about Gwyneth or just asked stupid questions in general. I can't for the life of me fathom why he gave such a good interview with Howard. Howard was really grilling him on stuff.

Niamh, by the way, my name is Cathy and Coldplaymom is Veronique. Hope you don't mind me introducing you, Coldplaymom. I personally did not have an issue with your cousin's thread, I thought it could have been a fun thread to post Coldplay's personality traits. But to each his own.

I'm always amazed at how the Coldplayers are such varied ages and we all love the same thing.

Coldplay is getting on my husband's nerves. I've stopped bringing them up to him, though I want to. He even has to get dressed in the morning with them watching him (there's a poster where his closet is!)

My recommendation is to watch on Youtube any version of a song that is not the regular, album version. Watch Glastonbury 2011. Watch Warning Sign from the Yahoo sessions, watch GPASUYF/Talk Live in Japan. Watch the student tour where they played HLH, Paradise and We Found Love. I am always amazed at their raw talent, and how they can turn a song from what it normally sounds like to something new and unexpected. And listen to the B sides again as well. Just my two cents.

Not to be too off topic, but "I Bloom Blaum" one of the worst? Is this true? I think it's lovely.

Back when they announced the tour dates I made a stupid decision not to go to any of the three Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl dates, due to financial reasons. I was making a sacrifice to spend the money on a vacation with my husband which benefited both of us, rather than a show that benefited only me. Now I am sorry, though--I probably should have spent the money on both. Now going into the live threads and seeing the videos and reading all the happy reviews makes me sad. That said, it doesn't mean I hold a grudge against anyone who went to a show, and it doesn't mean I won't be able to go to a show myself. If they come back to California (not holding my breath) this tout, I am going. Next tour, I am going, no doubt about it. So what I'm saying, is you're not alone, you will go to a show, maybe not this tour, but you will. Have faith and listen to the music and wait for the DVD to come out.

I'm getting greedy. Now I want a CD, DVD, Tour Diary and a free Xyloband!
