  1. Agree completely. Coldplay does what they want to do, they might have a friendly rivalry with U2 as they are now both big stadium bands, but they don't make music to compete with U2 in the slightest.
  2. OK, I'll take a shot at this: I think Coldplay became "big" when AROBTTH was released and it was a vast turnaround from Parachutes. I think if they had stuck to nice, quiet, moody songs like those on Parachutes they would have gotten some kudos, but then would fly under the radar, like a lot of groups do. It helps that at that time the world realized that hey, we have four talented, charming blokes here! They can do charming, witty interviews, come across like guys you want to know (ala early Beatles). Of course, Chris marries a movie star and all of a sudden people are more interested in who he is and who his band is. Then they got flak for X&Y, but they did try something different--rock star music. Then they put out Viva, which is going in another new direction, they work with Brian Eno, they challenge themselves, they dress the part of a successful, smart band. So, for me, they are big with AROBTTH and massive with Viva la Vida.
  3. Of course I am American and 42 but I've never heard of them and don't hope to again.
  4. Again, no less!
  5. Yes, they only showed the two. The others may still be online.
  6. I feel the moving to LA story is rubbish. Gwyneth has said how important it is to be in London because Chris works there. Blythe is doing fine, she can move to the UK if she needed to, really. Chris has three other dudes counting on him!
  7. It was the episode where they sang two songs and she interviewed Chris and Jonny. However, Ellen is in reruns until September so I think you'll only get the version of Fix You that was initially web-only.
  8. By the way, my rant is coming from someone who lives near LA (about 30 minutes on a good day) and I still don't want them living here. I'd rather they live in London so we get more Coldplay music!
  9. I am not sure I believe it for a second. I can't find it on any other gossip sights (I don't have a problem, I swear!). Besides, their house in London is either close to being done or it's already done, they live a minute away from the Bakery, and there's three other dudes who count on Chris for the livelihoods! It would make much more sense to move Blythe to London, she could work on the London stage, and whoever posted that Blythe works more than Gwyneth is right on. She's a busy actress! Gwyneth has always said in the media how important it is to do what your husband needs to do, his work is in London and she's said as much. I don't think travel kills her all that much, anyway. Seems like she likes the jetset life.
  10. Warning Sign. I always sing to it, then I catch myself and realize that I can't hear Chris and I'd better shut up. I do agree some songs are easier to sing than others. That's why Chris' versatility amazed me. A good easy song to sing to is Green Eyes, if I was ever drunk enough I'd sing it in karaoke.
  11. I really like Yes, so an acoustic version would sound awesome.
  12. It's not 8/26 in the states yet, but since it is almost everywhere else--- Happy Anniversary, Rush of Blood to the Head! Hope the copy in my car doesn't wear out. I've been playing it for ten years!
  13. Moving to Mars
  14. But apparently giggle while you are doing it.
  15. I have that on my license plate frame. People ask me what it means. I think they think it's a nod to atheism (which is ok, in my case).
  16. You're giving us: VF Suit Little Noises vest and tie Groomsman suit POC warrior outfit... All on the same page! Astounding.
  17. This place has gone nuts today.
  18. But this is three years ago. Even if it happened, it's donewith.
  19. I'm not usually one to call people out, but how did this thread get pulled from oblivion?
