  1. As soon as I read "parasite" I knew what you were talking about! I've started to sing my cat's name into different songs. One goes, "Penny, Penny, whooooaaaa. She's Penny, Penny, whoaaaaa" sung to Paradise.
  2. Just a side note: I think I have my Matts straight (including Miller) but who is Trainer Dan??
  3. OK, I'm back and I finished Viva Coldplay. Not sure if anyone is still working on this one. I have to say, I was not impressed. It paled in comparison to Phil O Brien's book (it's funny, I didn't realize Phil is female until recently, I've had the book for a long time). Anyway, where Look at the Stars is a detailed account of Coldplay, Viva Coldplay is an overly-breezy, journalistic approach to Coldplay. Phil's book in particular, spends much more time on Coldplay's formation. Phil's book also goes deeper into Chris' love life, and Lily Sobhani and Emma Holland are mentioned quite a few times. Viva La Coldplay does not mention Emma at all (probably rightfully so) and Lily is mentioned maybe once. The one thing that really irritates me about Viva La Coldplay is, with each album, including Viva La Vida, Martin Roach does a song by song review. The number of times he mentions comparisons to Radiohead and U2 in each song is a little over the top (personally, I'm not someone who hears these two bands in Coldplay songs). He compares Coldplay to Radiohead so much there is an entire chapter on the two bands' similarities. Another thing that bothers me in Viva La Vida is the number or errors. Both books go over the some of the same information, not sure who edited the Martin Roach book, but he or she missed quite a few items--Bruce Paltrow is listed as dying in 2001 and not 2002, the film Sylvia is listed as Ted and Sylvia, Jonny is listed as marrying Chloe in 2007, Guy and Joanna are listed as marrying--and divorcing-- somehow both in 2007. There are more errors but I can't remember them now. All in all, if you're looking for an insightful journey into Coldplay, read Phil O Brien's book Look at the Stars. I'm sure many of you already have. If you still feel the need to delve into our favorite group, then read Martin Roach's book Viva la Coldplay, but only with a grain of salt.
  4. Somebody mentioned on Facebook that his happy trail is gone. I wonder what happened to it!
  5. GPASUYF upstream I keep rowing
  6. I only saw them one night during VLA tour (they played back to back shows in different cities) and I am now sorry! See both shows, by all means!
  7. Moving to Mars Take me anywhere I want to go
  8. For some reason, I'm suddenly in love with No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground

  10. Oh well. You can't steal someone else's schtick forever.
  11. LOL! That's still a cool picture, fart joke not withstanding.
  12. I hope it's not borrowed from Guy, because Gwyneth is show wearing it later on!
  13. Jimmy!! I love both these men.
  14. Jonny's head looks like it's sitting on top of Chris' piano! Scary!!
  15. For us, at least. I'm glad Clocks reads as "Lights go out and I can't be saved." I have that on my license plate frame, and I swear sometimes Chris sings "can't be safe." That changes the meaning profoundly!
  16. It means you're a proper fan. Enjoy your show!
  17. That GIF is perfect--dancing crazy Chris, Jonny, tummy hair!
  18. Cemeteries of London In a bulletproof vest
  19. This is actually a great little idea. The fans would buy them, totally.
  20. Sorry for the confusion! I meant Ellen put up that picture on her little screen behind her and the guest.
  21. Those eyes!
