Wow, you guys are quick, I just heard about this this morning when they announced it (I had a hunch it would be Coldplay even before they said the band's name.) I'll try to enter the contest online at home.

My hubby puts up with my Coldplay poster (them sitting on the couch) in our gym room, which is where his closet is--he has to have them watching him every morning as he gets dressed! So how old are we "old ladies" anyways? I am 41. (should I have admitted that?)

I don't have teenagers, but I can see the escape of the Coldplay obsession. My hubby was gone yesterday and I soothed myself by watching the band on Youtube for hours. It was awesome. Coldplay music is my comfort through hard times, and they celebrate with me in good times. And they look cute too! I have a friend who loves Robert Pattinson and basically stalks him when he's in LA. Coldplay are just my interest but I wouldn't stalk them or bother them in any way.

Good thread! I am thankful for so many songs, really! It's hard to choose. So today I'll say I'm thankful for Sleeping Sun. It's such a fun song, it's musically interesting, it shows the band's versatility. It just makes me happy when I hear it.

Don't British people not have best men and maids of honor when they get married? Or isn't the "criteria" different? Not necessarily your best, best friend? Maybe Jonny's wedding was more casual, or else Will wanted to do it really badly. I've never heard that story so who knows if that's even true?
