There's been so many radio interviews recently, I'm getting them all mixed up, but it might be a song called 'The Runner' by Delakota? M.

As its the summer holidays now, I've been itching to read something great, but I'm having trouble knowing what to pick up. So, I was hoping to get some recommendations here. I've just finished The Book Of Lost Things by John Connelly (amazing) and I tend to love anything by Neil Gaiman or Douglas Adams. Oh! And also a massive fan of Sherlock Holmes stories. Anyway, with or without that in mind, any books floating around that I should grab on to? Thanks in advance (: M.

Sacramento - Arco Arena Date Not Available? Ticketmaster has removed it.. and its also not listed on Coldplay's site either. It skips right over Sacramento and goes on to Oakland now :/ Anybody know anything about this? Presale was meant to be next week. I know they mentioned tour dates getting mucked up with stage production complications. Maybe their balls aren't magic after all *grin* M.

I was listening to the song on headphones yesterday morning, and at 1:45 there's a voice in the right channel. I can't tell what it says, but its great. I always jump a bit and think someone's trying to get my attention when I've got headphones on *grin* Has anyone else noticed that? In fact, there's quite a bit of external noise going on in this album. I really love that. It's the same with Parachutes/AROBTTH.. hearing people talking in the back, or the click of keys on the organ/keyboard. That's the stuff that makes it come to life in my opinion. No matter how overly produced it is, when you hear things like that, its a nice reminder that you're not listening to robots making music. M.

^ agreed. I haven't got through all of it yet, but after each song finishes, I keep thinking, 'oh, well, that'll be my favorite' and then the next song starts, and, oh... its amazing how ridiculously happy 11 songs can make somebody (: M.

I think you might mean An Ending (Ascent) and I completely agree, that's an amazing piece of music. I love songs that can just completely transport you somewhere else. That track always does the trick, as do numerous Sigur Ros songs. Dark dark room + Good Headphones + The right music = Easiest form of travel (: M.

Stop and Stare is a great song. Have you heard their cover of Duffy's Mercy? I'm not way into their music, by his voice is ridiculously good. M.

We were just discussing microfinance in a class of mine, and I mentioned that same site (: This is my favorite thread now btw, I've been researching the same exact thing. There's plenty of books that list different organizations that take on people to help out (My current favorite being this one: http://www.amazon.com/Delaying-Real-World-Colleen-Kinder/dp/0762421894 ...the 'why not change the world' bit. From their listing on Amazon you can find plenty more books on the same topic. The Peace Corps is a sure bet, but it iis pretty serious stuff.. the 2+ years tends to scare off a lot of people. I don't know how much the programs you've been looking into charge, but this place seems pretty reasonable http://www.vfp.org http://www.mercyships.org also looks amazing, albeit a bit more expensive... and out on the sea... (but, its faith-based, so maybe mention it to your Grandpa?) And if all else fails, you can always search any number of databases.
