Childhood TV shows
Yeah, I've seen those in stores recently. When I was young I was obsessed with them and had at least 12 or 15 of them. I actually still have them boxed up in my closet, in near mint condition!

Hey there! I'm kind of a new Travis fan (I know, I know - where the hell have I been all these years!), but I'm beginning to immerse myself into all things Travis. So all in one day I bought Good Feeling, The Man Who, The Invisible Band, and the More Than Us DVD. It's a start! I've heard a few of their songs in the past, but WOW, there's so many fantastic songs on all the albums (like everyone here doesn't know this already :D )! Have you all seen the latest on http://www.travisonline.com? There's a report on the making of the new album along with pics and a funny video Christmas card!- Best Movie Lines Ever
Forget that classic movie line? Never! Scroll up a little from your post. :D- U2
The exhibit was great! I just went on Saturday for the Fan Celebration Day. I spent SOO much money! :o Was anyone else there on Saturday? The guy dressed as Edge KILLED me! Yep, Danger Mouse's trusty sidekick, Penfold, was indeed a hamster. I actually bought nearly the entire series on VHS a couple of years ago. It's so much fun to go back and watch them now. :D And on to U2 business... I want to go to the Hall of Fame exhibit sooooooo badly! My sister and I are going to really try and make a trip up there by September, when it closes. I hope I can make that happen!- The "top 10 places I'd like to visit" thread
Where I would want to go: England Scotland Ireland Australia Japan France (particularily during the Tour de France!) New York City Germany Italy Egypt Now if only I was boarding the plane right now...- Turin Brakes
...but of course. :D :D- U2
Hehe! Thanks! Ah, the sweet childhood memories of watching DM on Nickelodeon way back when... :D- U2
I'm a HUGE U2 fan! There's no way I could pick out one album or song as my favorite - I truly enjoy all their music from their entire history. Seeing them live is like nothing else I've ever experienced at a concert. I saw them three times on the Elevation tour. I've heard many people compare their concerts to a religious experience and I'd have to agree! Even though the arenas were sold out, U2 makes you feel like you're at some intimate performance. After the first time seeing them I left the venue literally feeling breathless, thinking "OMG, what have I just witnessed?!" I can't wait until the new album comes out and they tour again. I heard this next tour could be the last time they go out on the road in such a big way. Bono's said he doesn't want to be doing this when he's 60.- Turin Brakes
 I heard that online! It is too funny hearing Olly sing 'broke ass'! "This one's for all the ladies out there..."- Turin Brakes

- Coldplay at Madison Square Garden--simply unbelievable
I wanted to hear 'Amsterdam' so badly the two times I saw them, but alas, I guess it wasn't meant to be... Wow, sounds like it was an incredible concert! Oh, I can't wait till they come around here on tour again! (After they finish this tour up, take some time off, have some weddings and babies ;) , write a new album...hmmm, looks like I'll be waiting a while)- anybody watch jools holand?
I used to watch it when it came on BBC America over here, but now they don't show it any more. It was pretty neat - I liked it a lot!- Turin Brakes
:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o AAAHHHH! That's so awesome! Now that's the way to meet them! Did you get to chat with Olly? I never have that kind of spontaneous, out-of-the-blue luck. Nah, the extent of my "strategy" will be to stake out the back of the venue after the show and try to catch them when they come out. It's worked several times for me in the past with other bands. The cool thing is, while I'm sure most people at the David Gray concert will be waiting for him, I've got a feeling my sister and I won't have too much competition over Olly and Gale! Woohoo! I'm a new fan myself. I discovered TB from reading some threads over at the official Coldplay message board around January of this year. I then watched the 'Underdog' video and immediately became a fan. They're one of my favorite groups now!- Turin Brakes

- Best Movie Lines Ever
Empire Strikes Back "Luke, I am your father."- Best Movie Lines Ever
Make that a total of one - I've seen it! A few of my faves that I can think of right now: Scarface "Say hello to my little friend!" Evil Dead 2 "Groovy." Army Of Darkness "Give me some sugar, baby." Trainspotting "Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a big television. Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose sitting on the couch watching mindnumbing, spirit-crushing game shows. People think it's all about misery and desperation and death and all that sh** which is not to be ignored, but what they forget is the pleasure of it. Otherwise we wouldn't do it. After all, we're not f***ing stupid." (I think that's correct. I haven't seen the movie in a while - got this from the soundtrack.)- Turin Brakes
Ooo, the songs you mentioned are some of my favorite from that album! Right now, I'm in love with Ether Song (the actual song). It's such an emotionally beautiful and epic composition. Check out their first album, The Optimist LP. It's a little more mellow, but it's oh so good! - Travis
