  1. No, there were a lot of items for auction. We didn't bid. too much $$ for us...oh well...
  2. The auction was Julyl 4 :( My husband would have killed for any of the F1 stuff. LOL
  3. Bruce Springsteen has been upgrading fans for 20 years! Did you read Roadie 42s latest blog on www.coldplay.com?
  4. Awesome pics! You were SO close! And you even caught Guy's smile.
  5. I'm one of Coldplay's more "mature" fans, too, but I sure as hell don't feel my age (and people have told me I don't look it either, but they're probably just being nice). I went to my first concert in 1977, the year Chris was born! Dang, I am old.
  6. Awww. I'm so happy for you! Where were your original seats? And do you know who upgraded you? Did they just walk up to you in the aisle or concourse? Or were you in your seats? So exciting. I love hearing the upgrade stories. :)
  7. And I saw both kisses. Wish I'd had my camera ready!
  8. Really? It's this big of a deal? "The Kiss" is on the yahoo homepage. LOL Coldplay’s Chris Martin Plants A Rare Public Kiss On Wife Gwyneth Paltrow By Wendy Geller | Stop The Presses! – 6 hours ago The nation's record heat wave seems to be making everyone feel a little steamy--including notoriously private couple Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker husband Chris Martin. Footage has just surfaced of a rare moment between the two: At Martin's show with his band Coldplay in Miami last Friday, the frontman decided to throw all caution to the wind, run into the audience, and give his wife a kiss in front of 20,000 fans. Now that's what we call a very public PDA. Martin's smooch was definitely G-rated--just a quick peck on the lips--but Paltrow was set all a-flutter by the gesture, smiling goofily and even hiding her face with her hands at one point. Too cute! Her surprised reaction to her husband's impromptu move was likely genuine, since the two are well-known for almost never appearing together (let alone kissing) in public. Paltrow and Martin met backstage at a 2002 Coldplay concert, and were married in December 2003. They have two children, 8-year-old daughter Apple, and 6-year-old son Moses. http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-the-presses/coldplay-chris-martin-plants-rare-public-kiss-wife-191625067.html
  9. Look! :) And we were there. Oh, yeah, and they mentioned me. :shocked2: If you're Gwyneth Paltrow, here's a smooch worth savoring. In an adorable moment between songs at Friday night's Coldplay concert at Miami's AmericanAirlines Arena, frontman Chris Martin couldn't resist bounding into the audience to plant a kiss on his Oscar-winning wife. By the looks of her on the video a fan posted on YouTube afterward, it was a rush of blood to the head indeed for the GOOP gal. After leaving his missus with a token of his affection, the singer made his way back to the stage where he and his mates then launched into a rousing rendition of the British band's classic hit, "Clocks," according to concertgoer LFDianne who wrote about it on fansite Coldplaying.com. Martin also dedicated their tune, "Yellow" to his "incredible wife Gwyneth." What a smooth dude. The spontaneous lip lock just makes us wanna go, "Awww." —Reporting by Katie Rhames Read more: http://www.eonline.com/news/cute_alert_chris_martin_surprises/327687#ixzz1zfXX4tw3
  10. Ha. I wish...although "close friend of the band" sounds way better than "crazy fan." Better watch what we say...can you imagine if they get ahold of some of the "other" threads? :shocked2: I know coldplaying has been mentioned before - they know fan sites are the place to go for the most reliable information - really, we hear about it or experience it first most of the time
  11. Oh my gosh. I'm famous! LOL. And what an original quote they chose to publish. Hahaha. I think it's awesome that E!Online lurks on these boards for the "real" stories. I'm now waiting for Ryan Seacrest to contact me.
  12. Hey Sam, Those items will be mailed to you. The t-short, lithograph and a keychain. Look for a cardboard tube in your mailbox :). And they will be maile separately. We received ours a couple of weeks after our show.
  13. And December :) I always forget about the winter tour.
  14. No, they all say that. The only wristbands that didn't were the original ones from Madrid and the ones from Club Nokia that said "Mylo Xyloto" on both sides.
  15. He's Chris's bodyguard. He rarely leaves Chris's side.
  16. Ok. you know what's so amazing about Chris? I've met him several times now. He is the nicest, calmest, most chill guy when you just run into him. In Irvine in 2009, at the kind of messed up meet and greet I had, there were 80 people there, and he just walked up to my husband and me and said hi, how are you, when there were all those other people there. Of course, Will walked by, so I was like, bye, Chris...but he stood next to my husband in the group shot and totally surprised my husband by putting his arm around his shoulder in the group photo, while I was with Will in the middle of the group photo. At Hollywood Bowl, he just stood there and chatted with us, even though he said a couple of times he needed to go, he stayed with us, until everyone was happy with their photos and time spent with him. At the KROQ studio show I was at, during the commercial breaks, he just chatted with everyone there. After Miami, he was so freaking patient, and stayed and signed and was just so freaking cool. Way mellow dude. Never seems to be in a rush, wants to give everyone their time. Then you see him on stage. And BAM, he turns into this total rock god. Energy, charisma, bouncing around, singing, dancing in his Chris way and just having the best time on stage. He chats with 18-60,000 people like they're just hanging out. I find the transformation rather fascinating. I would love to just sit and have a chat with him. I've seen his interviews and even the candid ones, well, they are planned. I'd love to see how his mind thinks and just see what comes naturally for him, when he's not "on."
  17. I've noticed at arena shows that service goes way down as more and more people take their seats. Too many people trying to access 3G/4G means no one can. Plus I wonder if the Xyloband transmitter interferes with cell reception?
  18. I was seriously considering Chicago, but airfare is $$ and it would take all my United miles to go and I don't have a ticket, and I refuse to sit in the rafters again and sure as hell can't count on an upgrade...so I'm sad that this may be it. Hoping for a second leg of this tour. But damn, I've seen them 8 times in the last 2 months. That should be enough, but it just leaves me wanting more and more.
  19. I think there is an unspoken agreement that Will is my free pass. LOL I have a very understanding husband.
  20. The first show after I've been to the last show is always hard for me...wishes I was there...and I was so tempted, one of my best friends lives near Atlanta, but after 5 wonderful days in FL, my family needed me at home :(
  21. I love REM, and was so sad when they broke up. I could listen to Michael sing all day and night... Losing My Religion was the theme song of my 20s...
  22. And if Chris does an REM tribute, I'm sure the REM haters will come out an dis him for being a sell out. Lol
