  1. We still got it, Tracey! I didn't scream and dance quite as much as usual with you because I was trying to video. I hope I didn't embarrass Melissa too much in Tampa. LOL
  2. We were on the 4th level in Miami, doing our Oxfam thing, and ran into 2 girls and a guy who had just been upgraded. Cute teenagers. LOL I don't think I'll ever have a chance, which is why I need to shell out the big bucks for my good seats (unless I, or someone else, wins them!). The downfall of being an older fan, but I sure as hell don't feel old!
  3. Seems they like to upgrade cute young girls...can't say I blame them, but there are older fans there, too!
  4. Daddy Jonny in action. Gotta keep those kidlets safe in their carseats. :)
  5. Erick and I share Coldplay history - I *had* to let him know. :laugh3: I couldn't exactly share my excitement with my husband. :o:o:o :laugh3:
  6. Sorry, I'm back home in beautiful Southern California. I really wanted to try to get to Atlanta, but I do have a husband and kids at home. A *very* understanding husband. Ok, my luck with the band has just been almost eerie. I even wrote it out, in a letter format, so I could actually put down my thoughts because everything that has happened in the last 3 years has just been crazy. As far as I know, we were the only Oxfam group, so far, who has met any of the band. Also, as far as I know, Miami is the only show since this tour started in April that Chris has come out after. And I was there for both. I'm telling you, it's almost creepy lucky. And the interactions I've had with Chris in a public setting have been pretty bizarre, too. (NOT that i've had any private interactions, but I've been the center of attention in front of audiences twice. Weird) Maybe I SHOULD go out and play the lottery. I don't know...
  7. The Oxfam veggies are awesome. I was a carrot in Miami when I volunteered :)
  8. Um yeah. I am so not usually a Chris fangirl, but damn. When he touches you, it's like electricity, and those laser blue eyes, it's hard not to be drawn to him.
  9. Oh did I mention I shook his hand again? Twice? Oh he has the softest hands. We shook when he realized he remembered me from LA. And then again after he signed my shirt and I thanked him. Such soft hands, I will always remember that...LOL And warm, and huge. Sigh.
  10. I think this is the only time since the tour started in April that he's come out - I haven't seen any other stories of it. :) And welcome to coldplaying.com. If you're a big fan, this is the place to be. :laugh3:
  11. Aww. Congratulations on meeting him. I was there, too. He doesn't often come out after a show, we were so lucky he did this time!
  12. Haha. No, the 13 foot person was someone else. LOL I'm 5'10 1/2" (1.79m).
  13. We were waiting on the other side when we saw him walking toward the few waiting fans by the gate. So we went around to that side. There was a small crowd by then, so we were a few people back. I'm tall, Chris is tall, and the first thing I noticed was the white design on the shoulder. My first thought was that he was wearing "the shirt," which he was wearing last time I met him. But then we saw the rest of him and I was a bit relieved because I WOULD HAVE mentioned the shirt...just like I mentioned his trousers to him, which is what we'd talked about last time. Too funny... Still can't believe it happened again :) I've always been a Will-lover and Jonny's been #2, but having met Chris more times than Jonny, he's edged him out.
  14. Here's the crowd waiting for Chris to sign their things. Crazy... He was so patient.
  15. Well, then you're just an idiot with no musical taste at all. See how ridiculous this can get???
  16. Yep. Comic-Con starts next week in San Diego. From the schedule of events. Friday, July 13 1:00-2:00 Bongo: Mylo Zyloto— Every album begins with the germ of an idea, every song tells a story, and now it is finally revealed that there is a secret narrative behind Coldplay’s newest hit album and its enigmatic title Mylo Xyloto. Three years ago, frontman Chris Martin teamed up with Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, and the upcoming The Little Prince) to develop the epic story that has gone on to inspire such chart-toppers as “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,” “Paradise,” and “Princess of China.” Join the creative team behind the new comic miniseries Mylo Xyloto — Alejandro Fuentes, Steve Hamaker, and Dylan Haggerty — and prepare to experience the sights and sounds of Coldplay in a whole new way. 17. Hahaha, Kelly. You're such a snob. :P But what the hell...everyone is entitled to their own musical taste and whether or not WE like something doesn't matter one bit, because someone out there will like it. It's like food - there are foods I just don't like, but others do. Does it really matter to anyone else, other than my personal chef, that I can't stand green bell peppers? Uh oh, I better watch it now because those green bell pepper lovers are going to jump all over me now, and wonder how I can NOT LOVE green bell peppers because they are so much better than red bell peppers. But I sure as hell don't hold it against a chef who wants to cook with green bell peppers for someone else! Shouldn't music be the same way? Should I stop going to restaurants where they use green bell peppers because I don't like them? Should I publicly dis the chef for using green peppers? Does anyone see how utterly ridiculous this whole "sell out" thing is???
  18. "Believed to have run off?" Nope, it happened! We saw it! Get your facts straight, Belfast Telegraph! :laugh3:
  19. Aww, Melanie. You're a great mom! So cute. Start the kids on concerts young is the way to do it :laugh3: I've taken 3 of my kids to Coldplay shows over the years, and they just think mom is a little too over the top. But someone needs to show these kids how to act at a concert, so they don't grow up and be one of "those people" who sits down and politely claps! Your daughter is darling and off to a good start! Love the light up sign, too. I made one for another show I went to and the band took it on stage, and sang my request :) I know what you mean about being far away, too. We were way in the back for Miami, still fun, but just not the same. And finally, the Tampa Curse has been lifted. Three years later... (Oh, and you're welcome for the sunshine I brought with me from CA - it rained a little the night I arrived in Orlando, but not a drop in Tampa or Miami the rest of the week, and I read it started raining in Miami just after my return flight left! :laugh3: )
  20. No, it was outside the venue after the show. I've been to many shows and this is the first time I've seen them come out after. Just lucky again :)
  21. In Miami, several of the Heat were at the show. He made many references to the team during the show. Was that "Trying too hard?" Chris gave a shoutout during Fix You to a teenage girl who contracted a rare disease two weeks before the show and who just had heart surgery and wasn't able to attend the concert as planned, but her friends were there to hear it. Was that " trying too hard?" Like it or not, 1D is one of the most popular bands in the world and even accomplished something that Coldplay, or any other UK band hasn't done in 14 years - and that's enter the US charts with a #1 debut single. I just don't understand the uproar over it. It's just something that Chris does, has always done and always will do. Sure you're entitled to your opinion, but think about it in the bigger context and it just doesn't matter what Chris does. It's HIS show and he can do what he wants.
  22. Hi girls (and guys?) Here is a little pic from when we met him after the Miami show. He was looking mighty fine that night.
  23. Oops...just noticed all the typos...made that post using my phone...
  24. Um. OMG. I will keep my thoughts to myself on these. Wow. :dead::dead::dead: That is all.
  25. Ok so look at it this way. Chris gave a shutout to a fan. It was one freaking lyric that mentioned. Chris does shout outs ALL THE TIME! He changes lyrics in nearly every city they go to, in Violet Hill for example, he regularly says something along the lines of "I took my love down to Tampa or Houston or Los Angeles" etc. Chris has hanged lyrics before too, adding a Brice Springsteen lyric in their Grammy 2009 performance. And even Bono covered part of Yellow during Glastonbury last year. I just do not understand all the uproar over it. And it's no secret at all that Chris loves pop music either! So just chill out people!
