  1. Found this photo on my phone - i handed it to someone to take the photo of Chris and me, and they took this one too.
  2. Ugh. Some people are just so rude! I have been to many shows, but have never video taped any, just taken a lot of photos. I know their "routine" by now, so I take photos depending on where they are, and how good they will turn out now, rather than "just to get a photo." I've ended up with some great shots, by being ready at the right time. This week, however, I figured I had so many photos, that I took a couple of videos each night. Usually phone camera videos and even some real camera videos are just crappy quality, video and sound, that I don't even watch 99% of them on youtube. But again, I was picky about how I video'd and where I was sitting/standing at the time. I can see how it gets annoying to play to a sea of cameras instead of a sea of fans faces, smiling and singing along. Especially when the cameras are right in your face!
  3. I listen to her on the air. I like her. Much nicer than Kevin and Bean. I was seated a few rows back from the Kevin and Bean team, and I was so tempted to go tell them that I'm still mad at Bean for dissing me in front of the boys at the Breakfast thingie last October. But I didn't...maybe I should have, he kept walking up and down the aisle and I had an aisle seat.
  4. Just curious, which VIP fix did you buy? The ones that came with the cocktail party? We bought the "cheap" ha tix and were in Box 663, so 3 box sections behind you on Jonny's side. We did go up to X stage when they were there, but got asked to leave. LOL But during Clocks, we went down to the front again and there was a totally empty box against the front rail, so we stood there and by then security didn't care, as long as we weren't in an aisle.
  5. I have bought and sold tickets on stub hub. Never had a problem, and they have the Fan Guarantee, which offers an extra layer of security. https://www.stubhub.com/guarantee/ A couple of things to remember when buying on stub hub. Stubhub chargers BOTH the seller and buyer fees to use their services. So when you see tickets that are way more than face value, keep that in mind. And keep in mind that most sellers bought from ticketmaster or other similar sites and often have those fees as well. Stubhub charges the seller 15% of the sales price of every ticket. For example, last week I sold 2 One Direction tickets (Yes, I know. But I have a 13 year old daughter). They had a face value of $45, or $90 for 2. Ticketmaster/venue fees brought the price of 2 tickets to $132. I sold the tickets for $100 each, and after stub hub fees, my return was $170 - so yes, I made a little money, but it was less than $20/ticket, even though it looks as though I sold the tickets for more than double face value. Does this make sense? And then there are the buyer fees of 10% of the sales price, so the buyer actually paid $220 or $110 each for the tickets, for tickets with a "face value" of $45. I know there are people who sell for way way more than I did, but I wasn't out to gouge anyone, just needed to sell the extra pair that I had.
  6. I was down in the Garden boxes, and when Chris noticed and commented, we all looked up. Amazing effect! Very cool of you to think of it and manage to pull it off!
  7. Here is my Us Against the World video. We moved down to C stage during Paradise and found an empty seat just 3 rows up :) At 2:08, Chris and I made eye contact, he did a head nod to me, smiled then waved a second later :) This was just a few hours after I met him. I about died. Sorry the quality isn't better, I was shooting right into the spotlight and it was hard to get good video of Jonny and Guy, which is why there is so much of Will and Chris. 8. Wait. Are you sure you're 14 inches taller than me?
  9. I wrote about meeting him on the May 4, Hollywood Bowl thread. So wonderful to have a little chat with him. He was SO nice to the Oxfam volunteers :)
  10. Well, he was kind of leaning over, but yes, I am tall. 5'11"... Or 1.8m.
  11. Here are two videos I took. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBrcaq1J0vU]Coldplay Fight for Your Right Weenie Roast May 5 - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plf2Z7AI8_Y]Coldplay GPASUYF Weenie Roast May 5 - YouTube[/ame]
  12. He went to change out his in-ear monitor.
  13. Coldplay and KROQ have a special relationship that goes back to 2000, when they played their first gig for KROQ at Almost Acoustic Christmas. KROQ is the LA radio station that gave Coldplay their big break into getting in the LA radio market. They have done many many shows affiliated with KROQ, and I think they will go out of their way for KROQ when they can. The Weenie Roast is traditionally held in June, but was changed this year to accommodate Coldplay's schedule. There actuality were a lot of Coldplay fans there and lots of singing and dancing where I was - In Front of Jonny, Row P. But there were a lot of people who weren't. I did talk to some guy on the way out though, who was blown away by their performance. He said he hadn't planned on staying for them, but did and loved it. So maybe this performance will bring make more fans out of people who weren't. The boys were awesome as usual, as you who watched the stream saw. But something must have been wrong at the end, with them not doing the bow, an just leaving the stage. I had fun though, and thats what they aim for. My ears are still ringing, I think it's from Pennywise, not a fan. I liked The offspring and wish I could have enjoyed Incubus more, but I was beat by then. I did get a few pictures.
  14. Coldplay roadie action on the side of the stage. Finally
  15. I've been here since 4. I'm cold and tired and my feet hurt.
  16. There are houses nearby, thus the noise curfew, and this kind of concert doesn't really attract tourists because it is promoted and sponsored by a local radio station. It's not billed as a festival like Lolla or Glasto or even ACL.
  17. The thing is, there is an 11pm noise curfew at the venue, otherwise there are very heavy fines to play. Offspring played long too. I'm sure hoping the boys have to play short to make up for everyone else going over. I would be pissed.
  18. Ugh. They're still playing. And we still have incubus. I sure as hell hope the boys dont have to shorten their set because of the 11:00 curfew :( I know they built in some added time but I was hoping for at least an hour.
  19. Im hoping the hardcores leave...this doesn't really seem like a Coldplay crowd.
  20. Really glad I'm not in the pit today. Ira crazy in there.
