  1. I was thinking about it...and I was thinking it might be because they cut the US tour short by a concert. It's no secret that Chris had been sick the last few shows, and then they abruptly cancelled Tampa. I would think that after a year and a half on the road, it's bound to take a toll on everyone's health and nerves, and to have to cancel the last show...well, that would definitely send out a bad vibe. Just one thought I had.
  2. Not exactly sure what you mean by that. During their performance of Viva la Vida at the 2009 Grammy's, Chris threw in a Bruce Springsteen lyric "working on a dream, though sometimes it seems so far away." This was just days after Bruce and the E Street Band performed the song, which is called "Working on a Dream," during the halftime show at the Super Bowl.
  3. The cute butt in question :) I'm a huge Bruce fan, have seen him 14 times in concert over the last 29 years. I LOVE that he is such a big influence on Chris and I still think the shout-out Chris gave him at the 2009 Grammy's in the middle of Viva la Vida is one of my favorite moments.
  4. I haven't received my Messenger yet, either. Slow email or something.
  5. But Wedding Bells was never released and most likely won't be, so what's the problem with the lyrics? It's not like it hit big on the charts and they're capitalizing on that. They've said they have written way more songs than will be on the album, which doesn't mean all those songs need to be totally different - they choose the "best" ones. It's not uncommon, either, for Coldplay to use the same themes in different songs, ie "feet don't touch the ground."
  6. I downloaded both the song and video from itunes. Do a search on itunes for Coldplay Christmas Lights. Both are there.
  7. I'm in California, but get BBC1 on my car's XM radio. Guess I'll be sitting in my car listening, but it will be 5 hours delayed., but I'm sure someone (Anna?) will have it online before then, LOL
  8. Got it on tumblr...OMG, I got chills. sigh :wacky: :bomb:
  9. Soooo....is this Chris' Viva piano that's been repainted? Look at the bird on the side and are those feathers or a wing on the back? Wonder if this is just for the video or part of their new theme?
  10. Holy crap---I could just listen to him talk all day long. Love his voice and accent. :wacky:
  11. And all you can say is OMG? I can't wait to hear more :)
  12. I hear you. We are driving from Southern California to Las Vegas right now for Thanksgiving with my mother in law. Would much rather be stuck on a party boat on the Thames. Darn family obligations.
  13. And I'm in the car right now driving to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving with my mother in law. I'm a few pages behind...
  14. Oh noooo! I hope you get there in time!
  15. I'm in California - it's only 8am here. I have all day to hear the news :) So those coldplayers better not just get off the boat and go to bed!
  16. THere you are! I was going to text you, but my phone died... 6 days...
  17. I was sharing the love - not rubbing it in. :P
  18. I've been a casual Muse fan for a while and love their music - but I don't follow them like I follow (obsess over?) Coldplay. I've seen Coldplay 6 times and saw Muse for the first time in September here in California. I was completely and totally blown away by Muse. I had no idea. It was one of the coolest things and best concerts I've ever seen (and yes, I'm old and I can say that!) Like others have said, Coldplay touches me emotionally in concert. I love Chris's ad-libs and "fuck-ups" and interactions with the crowd. Love the Jonny-love that goes on. I think Jonny is an amazing guitar player, but Matt Bellamy is on the list of the top 50 guitarists of all time. I could spend an entire concert just watching Will play. But the "technical-ness" of Muse was outstanding. Their show was amazing, the staging, the lights, everything...But Coldplay's staging with the B and C stages, and the butterflies is innovative, too. So to me, it's hard to compare because they both do great fan-pleasing shows.

  20. Makayla, Listen...You are in London...you flew from Denver to LA to see Coldplay...you waited in line all day to get inside first...you made a beautiful video of you and your brother's trip (still one of my favorites)...you *have* to go to this. So what if it's last minute. It's only one night. You can do this! If you can get around LA in a car, you can get around London - I even managed to DRIVE myself in London when we lived there. You're in London doing something you believe in and are working hard at it, so take a night off to reward yourself for all your hard work :) GO GO GO GO
  21. http://www.livettslaunches.co.uk/vessels/erasmus_london_party_boat/ Wow! Looks REALLY nice. Have a great time everyone!
  22. Well, I'm leaving now for the American Music Awards...guess it will make for good people watching, even if Coldplay won't be there. ;)
