Yeah, I know...I paid $140 + fees for this?? But I didn't want to miss out again. Oh well, I'm going with a friend and not my husband, so we'll have a good time anyway, making fun of all the bad dresses. NKOTB and BSB are making comebacks. Wonder if the Oracle would approve?

I'm telling you...California road trip the next time they tour! They usually perform at least 5 shows here and I'm going to do my damndest to be at all of them. And I have to go back to Florida to make up for Tampa. I really hope Will has more solos with this next cd - I just adore his voice, and he could definitely sing and play at the same time - look at Phil Collins! This summer, I went to a lot of concerts, and at every one, I just can't help but compare Will's playing with all the other drummers. I must admit, though, that Dom Howard is pretty good ;) But Will has style when he plays. One of the shows we went to, the drummer for the opening band, well, it was painful to watch...he was visibly counting time, ONE two three four, ONE two three four. When I listen to all the Coldplay songs I have, they are magic all together, but I can isolate out the drums, and I die all over again. LOL I also love the simplicity of his drum kit. So many drummers have these enormous kits, and well, I think they just get in the way. Sure wish I could get to England in December, but it's just not gonna happen this year :( That's why I'm still holding onto hope for the AMAs in 12 days...but I just don't know. Two more bands were just added, and they adding more every day, so my fingers are crossed...

They keep adding new performers...New Kids on the Block and The Backstreet Boys are now on the lineup. Along with Rhianna, Diddy Dirty Money, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, Usher, and Pink. No Coldplay yet :(

Uh oh...get ready for the Gwyneth-is-leaving-Chris-for-Matthew Morrison-rumors. I don't think there will be any Gwyneth-Tim McGraw rumors because his marriage to Faith Hill is very strong, and people know that. :rolleyes:

Chris and Jon singing together? OMG, I would die right on the spot. Toss in Will on the drums and the Nokia Theatre better watch out for the crazed fan in row M...Oh, man, I'd feel so sorry for my friend who is going with me. If our boys are there, she has no idea what she is in for. :laugh3:

Someone needs to ask them if they're playing at the American Music Awards in LA on Nov 21 - I bought tickets when the rumor came out that they'd be there, but there's been no official announcement. So now it looks like I'm stuck seeing Justin Bieber and Katy Perry :/ Although I'm ok with seeing Usher and Bon Jovi, and Christina Aguilera will be there promoting Burlesque... But I want COLDPLAY to perform one of their new songs!!! wishful thinking:thinking:

Makayla, What an amazing birthday present! I've always loved the video you made of the concert here in LA - I was at the same one, but a little further back than you were ;) Your video brings back great memories for me, too. I bet your brother was just thrilled that you got to meet Jonny and Chris. I've also read some of your blog - your journey and faith are inspiring, and I wish you all the best during your time in London and when you get back home.

Well...that settles it...their marriage is definitely in trouble, if Chris doesn't ask Gwyneth for her help with writing songs. Aren't couples supposed to do everything and share all the same interests? I can totally see Divorce Court on the horizon...:dozey:

Blah blah blah...it's always the same story whenever Gwyneth is working on/finishing up/promoting a movie. And she does, what? Like one movie a year? The tabloids always have to bring up marital issues when they're bored...

And the Country Music Awards are Nov 10, and the American Music Awards are Nov 21...maybe they're going to spend a few weeks here - for the shows and some production work on the new album.

Coldplay is not the first band to use side ramps, a "B" or even a "C" stage. I've been going to concerts for over 30 years, seen well over 100 concerts, and well, there's only so much you can do. I'm trying to remember the first times I saw them, meaning various stage setups, but well, it's hard. I believe Bruce Springsteen has used a "C" stage, but I was trying to figure out which of his tours over the last 35 years it was. My memory isn't that good ;) Every band tries to do something innovative for their large shows, and really, it gets harder and harder to be "the First" (although for me, Muse's tower stage was a first) to do anything, but everything is modified to suit the band.

I bought tickets on Thursday - after I read about the possibility here. I couldn't afford the Ultimate VIP pack, that included seats in the 1st 10 rows, Pre-Party, After-Party, access to the VIP lounge, Limo parking (LOL), souvenir laminate, and program and a few other perks - only $1750! But our seats are ok - really, it's a pretty small venue so there aren't any bad seats. If they don't make it, it will still be a girls night out :)

I was so pissed when they wouldn't let me bring in my camera to Mumford and Sons Monday night :angry: They called it a "professional" camera, which it is so NOT. And *then* I saw a girl with a bigger camera than mine inside, and she said they didn't even question her. All I got of them was from my camera phone, and we were so close! I have no idea what security will be like at the AMA's. I'll text you when Justin or Ke$ha is on. I'd call you when our boys are on, but you're probably going to get the broadcast live and it will be tape-delayed here. Unless you're here with us...you've been working a ton of hours, so convince hubby ;)
