  1. Ghost Stories and The Godfather. Dianne reviews concerts way better than I so I'm only going to add this... My first thought after the Sunday night was, after 18 shows I think I might need to retire my Coldplay gig going... ....cuz it can't get any better than those 2 nights. It was just nuts- from the ethereal 'mood-creating' forests we waited in before they seated us, to the music and multimedia and lasers, to the insane closeness we had to the stage and band. But then I think about how much the Ghost Stories songs grew on me after just 2 chances to hear them ...a lot. I thought Always In My Head was sweet and melodically lovely, Magic was... just that, all ethereal and theatrical and great live...my favorite of the night was O...prettiest lyrics IMHO... Which of course means I have to see it all again sometime - soon!!! even if it won't be quite so intimate or with such an appreciative audience. And also I know it WILL be with coldplayers I love like Dianne, who was awesome, the CP'ers I met again and for the first time this weekend, like Lynn and Erick, and of course my longtime cp nuts Christa, Mike and Angie. It's a little like that scene in the Godfather- when he says "just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in..." ...But without the gambling, money laundering and racketeering... Of course those three things sound a lot like buying tickets from Ticketmaster so.....
  2. After Saturdays amazing show I wouldn't sell my Ghost Stories buttons for any price...but I am willing to take offers on the 1/2 eaten (but very delish) giant chocolate chip cookie they gave us after the Sunday show. As the day-old left overs have been wrapped in a napkin in my carry-on luggage I am willing to let go of it for the discounted price of 100.00... PM me any and all offers!
  3. All right kiddos....Old timer here..... Set and stoked for Sat. & Sunday Shows. Going with Dianne and managed to snag a Sunday. Glad the board are up and running again even though it takes an act of god (or Coldplaying Karma) to get me to post these days!! Shame on me, I love this place. Make sure to say Hi to us in the line!
  4. When you are illogically, positively, utterly convinced this is Chris.... sitting next to Brad Pitt... in a tank....
  5. I know, (I checked too), but it's a telling sign that one is way too addicted to this band when even a quarter of someone's face grabs your attention. Hey, I think I'll post this in the more appropriate thread....
  6. Is it my imagination or does it look like Chris is practicing running over papparazzi in a tank with Brad Pitt instead???
  7. Hey Christa!!!! I'm only checking here like once a month....(bad coldplayer, I know!) and I see you are going to be hall monitor of this deranged group! Congrats!!! Hopefully the end of my job and insane summer travel will have me visiting here and maybe even twitter and FB more often. Are your plans for ACL still in place?~~Kelly Lordy I have to do something about my awful siggy pic...
  8. "That's What She Said " ......aaaaaand that's my first post in about 4 months...
  9. Dianne, your pics are great, LOVE the bow!!
  10. I think those Mylobars wrist light thingies are so expensive Mr Johnny Buckman of Cold Play can't afford a pair of shorts to jog in. :(
  11. Which grafittii artists from the past have influenced you.... and how would you describe your style to someone who hasn't seen it?
  12. When the band came to input their part of the graffiti projects did all 4 members of the band jump in right away or did any one of them need some encouragement to start?
  13. This is such a tease!!!! Us Iphoners are missing out on this one so thanks to those who posted the links!!! ..... I think the Scientist plays great, but I thought CB didn't translate on film with as much energy as it seemed to possess live...??..
  14. You too, you're a doll, I'm just sorry we all didn't get to hang together at the show ....Coldplayers are much more fun than just regular fans!!!! (P.S. I'm used to tall~ my husband is 6'3....Chris is bending down in the pic too.) Will is hiding, but he did mange to get exactly 6 words in when I shook his hand!!
  15. This is why you don't bid a lot of precious credit car points and fly 1/2 way around the world for meet and greet. Cause some of your pics may come out like this hot mess..... I was thrilled for the opportunity but the guys surely felt I was a deranged woman because I DID jabber at them 100 miles an hour . **In this picture : *Jonny looking to Guy for reassurance, like hehehe, uh I'm OK right? tell me it's OK Guy, hehe. *Guy looking back like "It's OK J, you're safe with me, I can take her down with a swift karate chop if I have to." *Chris's smirk saying "it's OK boys, she's surely a harmless mental patient.... just close your eyes, find your happy place like me, and repeat this mantra "Be gone crazy fangirl" (Seriously though, great time, sweet boys, totally patient and gracious of course, and awesome time in The Hague with my friend Simmi.) _______________________________________________
  16. Guys, I got wind of a little back and forth on this thread about the girlfriend thing and I thought I'd weigh in with a little perspective. Keshia is a really nice girl. She's a person, she's young yes, but sweet, open, friendly and quite mature for her age. Just a person, a human being, who because she is blessed with beautiful looks is pursuing a career in modeling. That's it. A job. That's not an open invitation to pre-judge what kind of person she is. None of us know her. I've only met her a few times and all I can comment about her I did above. I understand "fangirl"~~I am one !!!! But the 'hating' should have no place here. If Guy's your fave, then be happy for him and for her. She's a real person, with real feelings. What if she's reading this??? Would people say these ridiculously callous things to her face? I would hope not. It's too easy for some people to to be a bully because they're anonymous on the boards, tumblr, facebook or anywhere else they employ an avatar. I'm not interested in any back and forth on this, I don't ever even come on the Berryman thread really, but I still felt the need to stick up for this lovely girl and maybe put a little of the squabbling to rest. Peace out. ~Kelly
  17. OMG.... When Charlie started bouncing I grabbed the shirtsleeves of one of my adopted 16 yr old boy concert buddies who were ignoring her and said "you boys better start watching, or your going to miss some serious boob flash" .....they got so embarrassed and laughed. ....and they watched the whole rest of the set. Lol
  18. Sorry no hide button.... First, I can't do the hide/show button thingee with my iPhone, too hard so sorry for the long post. Anyway, I'm not one for detailed reviews, but I had to pop on and commiserate- was there some kind of conspiracy against us? I think every one of us were all in the same damn non-functioning scanner line. It sucked!!! This was my 17th CP show and as The Angie knows, it ain't a Coldplay show for me without some kind of pre-entrance f-up, so par for the course. Though my friend and I arrived at around 10ish to scope out the queue we didn't stay the whole time as I've been super sick and kind of needing to baby myself before we head back to the states. There really weren't too many people lined up even by 1:00 And we managed to find Tash and her cping group (hi Row!) which was goal 1 so that was great....(though as proof that I need to come on the boards more I thought I was looking for a boy!?!....Im an idiot.) We went to grab food and because I'm sick as crap and just not normal we almost missed the 3:00 doors....Angie stop it, right now. I can hear you from here. Somehow I finally got my wheezing bronchial infection lungs going and made my dash, ending up getting right behind Tash as it was hitting her she had waited all day only to miss the rail by one. I felt so bad for her. Once my friend joined me we corresponded with our meet and greet contact and realized we needed to be on Guy's side instead of Jonny's so we said a quick goodbye and tromped off ....to a spot right on the rail!? ...go figure? We hung out there with high school boys and moms, dads, kids and grandparents. You know, the usual CP crowd. It was so great, makes waiting for 6 hrs fly by. We had to meet the Live Nation rep at precisely 8:20. So we left our spot on the rail and kept telling people all the way out: " we're coming back in a little bit" kind of ridiculously hoping to get our places back. And because CP fans are so loverly we somehow managed, during 99 problems!!!, to wiggle right back through the same crowd and in our spot just in time. I won't review the gig itself , there are great ones already posted here. I'll just add that the show was killer as always, Chris' voice was indeed shot as some people listening to the live feed noted, fireworks are always a good thing, and Dutch crowds are loud as shit. I'll post a little seperate thing about the meet and greet (nothing epic, just fun) but I really wanted to jump in and join the lengthiest show review thread in history. I'll post a few show pics when I get back but only if they don't suck. ~K
  19. ......and guess what else.............. Charlie f'in Brown Live in 12 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apologies, I just HAD to virtually yell that.
  20. Just been getting the last of my accommodations arranged for after the gig! I figured 2 days in the Hague is enough and we should stay in Amsterdam afterwards. Am I right Amsterdamians? Some crazy International Broadcasters Conference is made it a little bit harder to find a place but we're set. So stoked. (Now must get over nasty cold) I seem to get sick right before I'm supposed to travel for Coldplay. Too much pre show adrenaline must be wearing me out.
  21. Yup, There for Christmas lights as well, so I might recognize you as well! And you'll recognize me as a Texan at the Malieveld in The Hague because I have a Texas drawl...which is unfortunately a very southern twangy accent. (If you've ever spoken to The Angie you get the idea. ) So excited to tour a little bit of The Hague and Amsterdam with my friend from Chicago when not at the concert, It looks SO beautiful!!
  22. Traveling for CP again!! I know! I just popped on here to check dates for my show list and WOW! Coming the The Hague for the show in a few weeks (random I know!) and I'll be staying in London for a day on the return to Chicago....I'll def. be reliving some super fun memories and I WILL eat mushy peas to commemorate!! Hope you and the family are well!! ~Kel
  23. Comicforce, Did I meet you, ouside the venue with Angie and a few others? If not, you had company in the England -----> Chicago trip for the gig because I met a Londoner there after the show! It has been so gorgeous here in Chicago, I hope the band, crew and families had a blast with the extra time they spent between the shows. Can't wait to visit a new country and see a Coldplay show as well....so perfect.
