  1. i kinda would kill to know their reactions too :D. it would probably make my christmas if they were favorable, touched reactions :nice:. i bet debs will let us know when she gives them to the guys, though, and i bet she'll say at least something about how much they liked them :D
  2. what, to make a postcard? you just need a postcard...or a 4X6 inch card, and you need to put the logo on it somewhere. everything's in the first post  i LOOOVE everyones' cards!
  3. :laugh3: i know, it does really suck. it's only when i'm in the general vicinity of a pine tree, though, like when a christmas tree is in the same room or i'm sitting directly underneath one outside. in my old school, they would always deck out the chapel and entrance hall with live trees and wreaths right after thanksgiving, so every week during chapel my nose would be completely blocked up and my eyes would water and teachers would give me the stink eye when i had sneezing fits
  4. do you think that they would play more older songs just because the shows aren't technically associated with the VLV tour? i just hope they play for LONGER (of course, that means more songs, hopefully older ones), but as long as LIT2 and glass of water are thrown in, i would be pretty happy with the current setlist too :D
  5. ^not every last one of us does, but most do. we're going to try our hardest to line up together :D and yes, we're going to make the rest of wembley WISH they were coldplayers! :sneaky: (and then, watch, we'll get a wave of noobs the day after the shows ) ooh, but you're right mark, yellow would show up the best on any potential DVD recording! :sneaky: :P (really, this BETTER be a DVD like HAARP. they're missing a huge opportunity if it's not going to be taped).
  6. ^oh i know, i love the idea of the shirts being yellow because of the song and all that...but i just think yellow can be kind of...hideous on clothing sometimes . i've heard lots of people suggest the shirts being yellow, so that's fine by me if that's how everyone wants to do it, but i just think that maybe more people would want the shirts if they...weren't yellow :P and yes, we have to call ourselves something! i love "coldplaying's barmy army does wembley, 18/9/09 & 19/9/09" or something like that  god, can you tell i have lots of uni work? that's when i procrastinate the most by planning CPing things wayyyyy too far in the future :P
  7. ooooh, ariiiii :cheesy: that's an amazing idea! though i think it would be best if we made a wembley-specific shirt and then put it for sale in that cafepress shop so the profits go to oxfam! i was going to do it through cafepress anyway, so that just makes it easier and about 50X better! do people think that would be good? i still think it would be good to have an actual WEMBLEY coldplaying shirt, but if we just sell it through the already-existing CCC shop, the proceeds go to charity! oh ari, you're a genius! (do yall think they have to be yellow, though? yellow is a bit...unsightly on most people  i was thinking navy blue or something, like the background color of the "coldplaying" site style :P) (also, at least in america, lots of venue workers/security people wear yellow, so it would get a bit confusing and people might ask us for things!)
  8. double-posts are very scrooge-like  :P
  9. AGH EXAMS. i have three papers in total (well, two papers and a story revision), and two exams. i really should be studying for my arabic exam right now, which is tomorrow, but it's open book (which saves my LIFE), so really all i have to do is make things easy to find and present the information neatly. i should still be doing that, but i'm massively procrastinating. i did an entire research paper yesterday, though, so now i only have one paper and one story revision. it's amazing how fast i get work done when i physically remove myself from the internet. just unplug the ethernet cable and i work like the wind  i'll be all done by friday afternoon, though, and then home on saturday!. i can't wait :bigcry:
  10. awesome, zoe! i love the butterflies :nice: i think they'll probably see that they're made up of some words, and once they look they'll see that they're song titles :D
  11. i don't mean everyones' views, i just mean people in the general vicinity. if we had a huge banner or something that we somehow held up, people for like 7 rows in back of us couldn't see as well, and i'd feel bad :P. but these sorts of things are probably better tolerated in the UK than in america. in america, if you're blocking someone's view, they'll yell at you about it until you take it down, and probably after you take it down too . and yeah, i think it would be really awesome for us all to be wearing the same thing :wacky:, and it would also help us all find each other easier. i think semy and i will probably get on planning it all in the summer so everybody will have time to order the shirts from the website and get them in time for september :nice:. (assuming everyone thinks the idea is good, that is :P)
  12. my GOD. this is just insane. they have JOBS, schedules to adhere to. shouldn't it be noted that he was at his house on his anneversary at all? that's a major thing, considering how much they're on the road. i bet they made their little celebration fit in their schedules and that's that.
  13. PRINGLES :wideeyed: yay lori!
  14. ^you really just have to trust that it gets there. we can't very well ask debs to make a list of every postcard she receives, so it's just kinda putting your faith into your own country's mail service and the royal mail :D really, though, it should be ok. i think with competent mail services (canada's is, i would think, as well as the royal mail in the UK), things very rarely get lost. i wouldn't worry too too much :D
  15. how do you not know how? what's preventing you from sending? i might have to take you up on that offer carla! :sneaky: :P i'll probably make a trip back to rotterdam in spring 2010, so i'll look you up then :P i still LOVE your card to death. i miss the rotterdam skyline :bigcry:
  16. i guess i'm lucky i have untraditional parents for the most part (well, my mom, anyway). i travelled abroad alone this summer and was pretty much on my own the entire time, and i travelled to england with my friends when i was 12, so they trust me in this kind of stuff. though i guess i would have a HELL of a time telling my dad what my plan was if i wasn't already going to be in england at this time anyway...don't want to think about how that would go . i don't plan to tell him i'm going to see coldplay AGAIN anyway, since he thinks it's mad i've seen them as many times as i have already. my mom knows i'm going, though (she's more of a concert goer than i am!). the only thing she had to say was that i'm an idiot for getting standing tickets rather than real seats .
  17. i USED to speak spanish . i was actually pretty good at it (taking it for 10 years does that to you), but then i quit it and i forgot like all of it. i can listen to what people say and get what they're saying pretty well still, but there's no way i could adequately reply anymore :P. antonio was at my school yesterday, yeah :wacky:. he spoke in both spanish and english, and he has such a lovely voice...:dead: so i guess i know the most spanish, then arabic, then dutch, then french. people can talk at me all they want and i'll be able to get the general gist, but don't expect me to reply very well!
  18. ^flag printing is pretty easy. but the problem, i think, is that flags tend to be huge, and i'm really conscious of blocking other peoples' views (since i've been to one or two concerts where big-ass signs or flags have been in my way of seeing ). i also brought way too big of a sign to the today show and couldn't use it. i was planning to bring a smallish version of the american flag (not full-size, but not one of the tiny ones on sticks, either), and i would think flags that would be readable would be too big to really use. but maybe things are different in the UK. y'all and your footie, anyway...i would imagine you have flags down to a science :P yeah, semy and i have talked about tshirt designing...he's potentially willing to design, as said above, and i'm willing to organize the printing and buying (i already have the company and everything all planned out ...isn't procrastination of school work a lovely thing? :P), and i think it would be really awesome if we were all wearing the same shirt :nice: 80 people?! this is going to be the best day EVER :cheesy:
  19. awwww, lore, it's fabulous! paul's looks particularly realistic! :D
  20. aww, i luuurve it, jenn! lore: find a christmas beatles one to match your sig!
  21. you should post it in the advent calendar thread too :wacky: and that should be our coldplaying family tree, on proud display in the lounge :nice:
  22. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! OMG, i LOVE it!
  23. i need to try sufjan stevens, actually. is the christmas album a good one to start with? what's his music even like? :P
