18-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
i decided not to go for this one, in case anyone was burning to know  i feel like a bit of a crap fan, but i do have uni and all. and i'd rather be at my prime for one show, i guess, than be a stinky, hungry, tired wreck for the second one (which i anticipate to be more epic for a lot of reasons anyway). people are saying that they don't think its necessary to camp...you're probably right. but my plan is to take the tube over on friday night and scope it out. if there's anyone there, i get on line immediately, if not, i go back and sleep like the dead to wake up eaaaaarly the next morning to get on line as soon as there is one :D. thanks for all the tips, though . however, i just wonder if this will be any different. you guys have mentioned mika and the foo fighters and muse...all popular artists and all, but i feel like currently, coldplay is bigger and has a wider appeal than all of those artists, so i'm anticipating this to be slightly more cutthroat. no one will know till the day of, though, and i hope that the people in line for the friday night gig will keep all us saturday-night giggers informed via text or something on how early they lined up and all that :D

What do you usually do when you listen to coldplay?
i listen to them all the time, but these days, mostly when i'm walking to class or working at my computer. i also listen to them in my car, because then i can sing along LOUD and no one can hear me . it's the best thing in the world :D

Random Coldplay thoughts...
haha, and it wasn't just me, it was like a busy party with all the coldplayers mingling and the four guys, and it just so happened to be that i fell into a nice conversation with chris :wacky:. (and i did kiiiinda send in a "question" to the oracle about 70+ coldplayers being at wembley...just so they know that we're going in case they wanna...help us out or something :sneaky:) the only other thing i remember us talking about was my car, for some reason, and how i drove to uni and back all the time and how long it takes me

 i was actually magically wearing another shirt underneath :P. which is actually what i plan to do at the real-life wembley gig, but not for this reason

Gwyneth...
yep, but the seats didn't seem to be reserved. there were four free seats in front of me in the first row, and i saw two guys come out and look at them, and 10 mins later, the same two guys escorted gwyneth and blythe to two side seats where noelia said they were. why she would sit there rather than front row, where she would only have the people directly behind her (me :wacky:) to bother her rather than an entire huge ring of people, i'll never know.

Show Off Your Postcards for the Postcards from Far Away Project!
yeah, i'm pretty sure the post office people think i'm insane, because i'm always mailing things to coldplay from there, and it's like the same four ladies that have worked there for years  this is the THIRD time i've sent something to the UK for coldplay . they definitely think i'm crazy.

everything's big in america. even lots of the people. (FYI, america's no longer the most obese nation in the world--i'm pretty sure we were passed by australia this year). i don't really know where i fall on the spectrum. i definitely buy at least a few new items each year, and i do have a tshirt obsession, but i never get rid of stuff either. unfortunately, that just means i put my big, american closets to good use, but my wardrobe is about 70% stuff i've had for years and 30% new stuff that year.

Coldplaying Advent Calender

Coldplaying Advent Calender
awwwws, that would be so cute! :nice: but if it was going to be a board-wide thing, how would people not know who their secret santa is if they had to give out their address or whatever? :uhoh:

Fashion etc.
eek, if it's 30% in the UK, i wonder what it is in america :uhoh: (i saw a study once that said that americans own a significant percentage more of clothes than most other nations in the world, mostly because of our insane level of capitalism and the fact that our homes tend to be newer on average with large, built-in closets :P)

Coldplaying Advent Calender
^aww, that would be cute! i think it could still work, though...:D

ahhhh semy, that's a HILARIOUS dream  spaced shootout + coldplay + wembley = most awesome thing ever. i also had a wembley dream last night (surprise, surprise), but basically all us coldplayers going got VIP treatment and a meet & greet with the band beforehand. we all had matching t-shirts with the butterfly in my sig (made by semy) on them, and when i was hanging out with chris at the pre-concert party, he asked if he could have the shirt, so i gave it to him . and then we all were guaranteed front row and we all lived happily ever after. i really need to find another passtime besides THINKING ABOUT WEMBLEY.

Show Off Your Postcards for the Postcards from Far Away Project!
ooh, i just posted that in the other thread, but i didn't realize you already said it here :D she told me that she's gotten 20 so far and the letters to her and coldplay, so we hope that more and more will wash in from all over the world right up until the stop-mailing date of december 22! she seems to be really touched by the project, so i think the guys will be too :nice: she's also set up a date with the band and management to drop off the cards...but the guys don't know that's why she's coming! :D KEEP SENDING, EVERYONE!

Postcards From Far Away project | Previous pre-delivery discussion (thread closed)
debs has gotten 20 postcards so far in the box! she seemed really touched by the whole project, so we know that we're doing it right so far! everybody, KEEP SENDING!! we want an INNUNDATION of postcards! :nice: also, debs told me that she spoke with the band's PA today and is going to see the guys in early january to drop off the cards, but that the guys don't know that's why she's coming, so it'll be a nice surprise :D she also said that she was glad that the guys didn't write a song called "billboards from far away," because then she'd have major trouble lugging them all to london and remaining conspicuous during her visit  so...KEEP SENDING, EVERYONE!!! our plan has worked out perfectly so far, and the more cards, the more awesome the project will be.

Scones or Crumpets?
eh, it all depends on the ratio of cake eaten to presents recieved and company enjoyed. i would reckon someone who sat at home alone on their birthday and ate two entire cakes would taste just about as good as someone who only had one piece of cake yet was living in up with their homies all day.
