you're probably right, i'm not that optimistic about this one, but all the same, it's taking quite a while. ergo, its still got a chance of being real, no? :bomb: i can wait until thursday, but once things labelled as prospekt's march start cropping up like this with the potential of being real, i get antsy.

i know, i just want to know if it's legitimate so i can go back to studying arabic and then to bed with a (mostly) peaceful mind. however, even if this one is fake, i'm getting more optimistic about one being legit tomorrow. eeek.

:lol: i actually laughed out loud at this one. in some ways i don't think chris is aware that he runs his mouth off like this and freaks us all out--i think he's just the sort to say what's on his mind in that moment to make people laugh or just to say something. but in other ways, i think he says a lot of this stuff to mess with the reporters, like the time he said they all sat around sewing together rather than just saying "we customized our jackets ourselves" or when he went on about being basically addicted to ambien. i liken it to playing with his food: he's playing with the media. i just wonder if he's ever going to actually eat them (figuratively!). well, i guess maybe he has, or has tried to the few times he's lost it with paps :uhoh:

it's out on the 19th in sweden and japan, which is tomorrow :stunned:. and its already tomorrow in japan. it's ~10:30 AM there, and ~2:30 AM in sweden. it should be a matter of hours before it shows up on torrent sites :bomb:

ohhhh man, i remember those! that was SO MUCH FUN. i really miss the pre-VLVOD buzz. of course, PM is an EP so it's a bit different, but the lead-up to all this is really different than it was for VLVOD. i guess because there's less to speculate about and less time to wait for it in. all the same, i miss the craziness of last spring :sad:. it was completely epic.

remember to take EVERYTHING that comes out of chris's mouth (and even management's mouths, since they've been wrong before) with a HUGE grain of salt. i believe nothing until they make some sort of obvious statement on the website or something :lol:. nah, i highly doubt they'd say "WE'RE RETIRING" in so many words on the website, but i do think they might make it slightly more obvious that they were going away rather than just ending the tour and then never ever hearing from them again.

i have a feeling it won't leak until friday, when it'll DEFINITELY leak because of the japanese and swedish releases. there's always a chance for tomorrow or thursday, but just wait TWO DAYS :D. really, only about 1.5 for most of us, since japan is SO many hours ahead :P

not to beat a dead horse, but chris is writing songs on the road, too. of course, he's a prolific writer and will probably write for the rest of his life, with or without a band, but he AND R42, i believe, said that he had some of these in mind for the next album, and that "the best is yet to come" (paraphrased). i don't know how well we can hold them to their original statement about LP5 being released in 2009, but i think their brains are already churning about LP5. i bet we'll see LP6 before we seriously have to worry about them breaking up.

^exactly. :P i really believe these are men without long-term plans. i'll bet anything they go on feeling more than anything, and as modest and self-defeating as chris can be to the press, thinking they have no fans or anything like that, i bet they KNOW they can't quit now. in some ways, i think they've just figured out a lot about themselves and their music, and they know it would be a waste to stop now.

i think this specific instance is chris making fun of reporters again without them getting it. bands not going past 33? look at all his favorite bands! :lol:. i feel like i can safely say i KNOW he's kidding in this quote. these guys change their minds every freaking day, on this and other matters. one day they say something like this, the next they say "the best is yet to come" and "if you think VLVOD was good, just wait for the next one." i don't think they have ANY idea on their plans more than 6 months into the future. chris runs his mouth off all the time. i know he's said stuff like this before and phil and whoever has too, about them knowing how they're going to end it, but i think that's also mostly talk. ok, they might not want to go on for ever, but i don't think they have a last year in mind or anything like that. i feel like, knowing them in the tiny way we do, they'll go until it doesn't feel right to go on any more. and i don't think they're feeling that now. they might only be around for 5 years more or something, but i really don't think we have much to worry about yet.
