haha, glad you saw :D. postcards don't have return addresses. there isn't room for one, and even if you made room for it, the PO would get really confused and might not send your card to the right address.

ok, updated letter, complete with shite ending :P the last line, "we hope you enjoy our postcards," is especially crap. the entire thing is written in borderline elevated diction, and then there's that :P. i also fixed some minor grammar things. tell me if you see any others :D

i think any phrase using a lyric will be somewhat cheesy, at least if i write it. for now i have that one in there because this letter needs to be done and ready to go even sooner than the postcards. if anyone else has a specific suggestion, i'm all ears :ears: i just hope to god that debs gives us the address on the 21st. if she waits too much longer, we're screwed.

you think? i think it's a bit...violently cheesy :lol:. i've fit it in, though. i'll post the updated letter with ending in a minute, and people can tell me what they think. lore and i are planning to send one copy addressed to debs and one copy addressed to the band basically the second we get the address :D

good idea! :dance: i was thinking about encorporating the lyric IN the letter, though, saying something like "your music reminds us that we live in a beautiful world, and we hope our postcards remind you of the same" but hopefully not too cheesy.

that it was definitely one of the ones chris was talking about when he said there are two songs everyone needs to hear before they die :wink:. that's what i think, anyway :D where did chris call it a safety net? i guess he might mean that just because it's poppy and could be a major hit even if their "new direction" didn't catch on. but it did, so he's got nothing to worry about.

if marriage didn't make things so much easier in terms of insurance and kid-raising and health issues and all other things, i wonder if i'd ever even want to. i see it as something that makes something easier in the legal sense, not much more. i think it's a violation of human rights not to let gays marry. who the FUCK cares? let everyone do what they want. it doesn't have anything to do with anyone besides the two people getting married.
