  1. I'm not really sure this is the way to end a cycle of negativity, no matter who's perpetuating it or starting it . In other news, the way I knew I was charged was that I got an email alert from my bank saying I had a low account balance
  2. That means they haven't charged you yet, you'll get charged soon, I think, and it'll show up on your statement at the end of the month. I don't think there'll be a problem
  3. I got charged today too! OK, that's good, I don't have to worry about the money being in there now :D
  4. Thanks for finding that! I knew I wasn't nuts. I actually find it really awkward that Chris is asking for welcome for his own band though :P
  5. AIRBAG :bigcry: :dead:
  6. Me too! But you told me this on Twitter, and I'm like 3/4 of the way through now and I think you said you finished it :P
  7. I kind of wish it was still called LP5...but MX is OK, I guess
  8. Yeah! They won the BTDMA, we won the BTDMA, and...an Italian magazine published a picture of their toilet :toilet: :P
  9. Best Coldplay tweet :wacky: For visual purposes:
  10. Yeah, it technically sounds better, but despite me being a huge music nerd...I can almost never tell the difference, personally. The version of VLV I have on my iPod, which was what leaked originally, is 128 kbps, and I'm not bothered by it at all. I'm not so great at hearing in general, though, I have pretty significant hearing loss, so that might be why :P :ears:
  11. A studio version clip was played before the Live on Letterman gig stream...I'm 99.9% positive it wasn't just the live version.
  12. True about TKOL, but...that barely counts, as you said, because that had such a unique release process. I maintain the likelihood of them leaking it themselves on purpose is rather high, not that we'd know it if they did.
  13. I have to say that that was my first thought..."Jesus, I've always wanted to see what The Bakery/The Beehive looks like, but this is not exactly what I had in mind...:uhoh:" :toilet: Also, John Lennon is staring at them as they pee
  14. And yet really the only major album NOT to leak this year has been Watch The Throne... I mean, obviously who knows anymore, but I think we're deluding ourselves to think that this album is going to be the exception to the rule that everything leaks. And I don't think the management has been careful...or at least not overly careful. The world already knows what half of the songs sound like by design, they've held listening parties not only for journalists (which is to be expected, of course) but for fans as well, and have released studio clips of "Charlie Brown" and "Hurts Like Heaven" (non-singles) ahead of release for TV promos thus far. If they were truly determined to try to prevent a leak against the odds, I don't think they'd have done most of those things at all.
  15. OK I know this is totally offtopic, but I can't resist making small comments: Yes, If you don't know The Strokes' stuff, OMG TRY IT OUT. I won't start to ramble about why they are the best band of the last ten years and how they enabled most other influential bands that are around today to make music, but...yes. Julian's solo stuff is very avant-garde, it's like...baroque/classical music played on electric guitars and synths and stuff, mixed with pop. The Strokes are much more...accessible. Albert Hammond Jr (guitarist's) solo stuff is also very accessible, and heartbreakingly wonderful. But I know...I actually have all but one of the home recording videos on my computer, but what I really, REALLY want is this beautiful leather-bound book of art, photos and lyrics that only comes in the set. I've looked at my friend's, but I just need to own it for myself :P OK, shutting up now :lipsrsealed2:
  16. I think that's a kind of lofty thing to say, that moms can't drink due to their children, especially when they have something like a birthday to celebrate. I don't think she's taking care of them blasted (or was blasted in the first place), they have at least one nanny to be with them while she's out doing her own things and living her own life. We know for a fact that she doesn't farm them off to nannies all the time, either. I don't think there's anything to judge on.
  17. I made a sign for the one in 2008 and never used it...mostly because I felt terrible for blocking so many people by holding up a sign. I recommend making small ones if you're going to do it
  18. Yep, that's me, I basically peed my pants when that happened. Especially because Jonny told Guy to "stop banging on about" how he was pissed off "Crests of Waves" didn't make it on AROBTTH :P And yes, exaggerating, but if she's that tall at seven, she's probably going to be pretty tall for a girl, just like her mom.
  19. Jeez, for seven years old...I feel like she's as tall as I am .
  20. Julian Casablancas, Phrazes For The Young. When the album first came out, I was actually fairly disappointed, or at least put-off by the weirdness of it. Then my mom slapped sense into me and six months later I was crying over how good it was...after all the beautiful deluxe editions sold out.
  21. Yeah, if you don't, you might be kicking yourself forever and scrounging eBay etc for people selling theirs for the rest of your life, like I do for another deluxe edition boxset from another favorite artist :bigcry: :P
  22. Yeah, I think they're all preorders, MAYBE with a small number of leftovers sold on their online store for a short period of time until they're sold. Limited edition these days often means "pre-order, we'll manufacture that amount and ship them to you, and then we'll never make them again."
