Radiohead
i think everyone needs to see radiohead at some point in their life. even from crap seats, it was EPIC. :dead: the only things that could have made it better would have been if there wasn't a huge pole obstructing my view, and if they playied "let down," but eh, it was still amazing  i also highly recommend the t-shirt and the water bottle :P

Fashion etc.
i need more flat shoes, so i'm planning on buying these, mostly because they were SO comfortable when i tried them on: they're nicer-looking in real life too, i promise :P

Coldplay heard in the Olympics
in my quest to see everything on NBC related to michael phelps...i somehow missed this  :P i saw a bunch of interviews with his mom, though i feel like if LIT was playing, i would TOTALLY pay more attention to that than the mother of a geeky-yet-adorable swimmer :P

Fashion etc.
ooh, maybe soon, but probably not of me IN them :P i also found it a bit surprising that i've lost about 30 pounds since like, december, yet i had to go UP a size to fit in skinny jeans. i mean, they are tighter than the jeans i usually wear, but i thought all this (unintentional) weight loss would mean smaller sizes :P

01-Nov-08: Philadelphia - Wachovia Center - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
i have to decide in the next week whether or not to go to this. i want to like NO other, but i'm a bit lower on cash than usual (europe does that to you), i'm seeing them the weekend before in NJ, and i'd need to figure out how to get there (i go to college near harrisburg) and everything...hmm. i really think i will end up doing this, though. especially if i can somehow get even better seats then i have in NJ (which isn't hard to do).

Fashion etc.
oxford street looked pretty great when i was there, but i wasn't in a shopping mood, and i really cannot spend money on clothes when in england. it's ridiculous with the exchange rate. i know own three pairs of skinny jeans in like a week, and three cardigans. what's happening to me? annie, you'd be proud. i think i was affected by everyone caring a bit more about what they look like over in europe. in america, i regularly go out in my PJs, whereas the ONE time i did that to get butter at the grocery store in holland, i got stared at. i think all the concern with clothes from there has seeped into my subconscious and now i'm upscaling my usual jeans and t-shirts to darker washes and slimmer cuts and cardigans and camisoles :P

Never trust anyone over 90
sadly, i know exactly who good ol' tom is because i live in CT. every time i see one of the commercials, i find myself wondering if he actually takes himself seriously.

i have to say that having target makes me ridiculously happy. and martin+osa. gap i guess you can find lots of places, but i hear its more expensive. all i really need are those three stores :P

Random Coldplay thoughts...
you did?! i guess i missed it! and i walked into the coach store at the mall today (i really shouldn't even go in there, because i end up wanting pretty much everything in that store), and "lost!" was playing. i was quite surprised, since i've never so much as heard any new coldplay songs on american radio, let alone in shop music mixes. then again, i've been out of the country for kind of a while...

Fashion etc.
haha, is C&A uncool? i went in there several times when i was in holland and it seemed mostly like H&M to me... i went shopping today and got my first ever pair of skinny jeans, and a perfect cardigan. after living in europe, i've realized my style needs to get a bit...older. i'll still wear my hoodies and graphic tees and flares, of course, but i need something a bit artier and more sophisticated too :P

How You See the Forum
i was only made aware like, 6 months ago that there were different skins for the forum, and i tried them all out for about 5 mins before reverting back to coldplaying. coldplaying FTW...i get confused if i change it up :P

WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
i have to say that it was awesome to be there, where VLVOD was recorded, and it was pretty surreal, but it was also just surprising and a little frustrating to be standing at some random alley and not being able to go inside. we actually said that if we knew we couldn't get in trouble, we would have broken in :P

what's in your bag? [pics.]
pencil case is also from borders. figures, eh? i love that place. haha, and yes, a pocketknife. i've been carrying one since i was about 9, but not for defense. even though when i'm in NYC or something, i do have it in the back of my mind...:P

The Confetti Mailing Exchange!
oh, what a great idea! i'm worried that i won't get any confetti from NJ (even though i will be sneaking down to floor level after the concert to scoop some into bags if at all possible...it worked for another coldplayer), so someone, expect a PM! :D (i think i'll PM nick or anyone else that went to the hartford concert, because that's the one in my own state that i missed )

what's in your bag? [pics.]
back in america again (:mean:), so this is a more typical bag for me: columns from left to right: 1) my cell/mobile; a half-drunk bottle of hawaiian punch (my non-caffinated lifeblood) 2) a packet of tissues; another bag i got in paris that compresses into that tiny black thing in case i needed to carry more things; ipod; wallet. 3) bag itself, from the strand bookstore in NYC (pins on it are the crest of my old school, euromast, london underground, an ESA astronaut, and barack obama); my keys with too many keychains (mini flashlight, car keys, mini wooden shoe from holland, moon and star house key, borders rewards card, subaru, old school crest, AAA, coldplay, '07); my pencil/pen case. 4) journal, london guidebook/mapbook, pocketknife. 5) diary, notepad. i had a lot of time to kill in starbucks today while waiting for my brother, so that's why there are so many notebooky things there :P i think i like this thread too much.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
i know i've been out of the loop recently, but... A GIRL KISSED CHRIS AT SOME CONCERT?! do tell. and i'm currently spazzing because i just realized where the anton corbijn VLV vid was shot, and i just spent a full month hanging out there with no idea. :dead:

Viva La Vida music videos! (Videos in first post)
OMG i saw the cover vid when i was in london, but i didnt have time to come here and write. BUT OMG. THAT IS SOOOOOOOO MADURODAM AND DEN HAAG. :dead: i've been living very close to there for the past month, and my eyes practically fell out of my head. it took me two viewings to realize it, but AHHH if i had just KNOWN when i was there!!!!!! :P i like the other one too, even if i do find it slightly boring. but i think the cover one is hilarious, even without it being shot in a place i was JUST AT. my photos of madurodam are here, if anyone's interested to see what the rest of the place looks like. and in the video, chris is sitting between two clumps of houses that look EXACTLY like the house i lived in in holland! :freak: :P

Do You Have An Ipod?
my main ipod is a 30G white video that i got for my 16th birthday in 2006. before that, i got a green mini in 2005, but the battery crapped out quickly. i still have that one, but i keep it plugged into the wall/ihome dock at all times, because the battery doesnt hold a charge. i also have a bright pink shuffle that i got last year on a whim. i love it; so perfect for just walking around. i wish i could use it with my FM transmitter when driving, though.

WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
we went on sunday! i'll post pics later, i guess, but really it was quite cool to see where VLVOD was recorded, even if the place doesn't look like much at all. and people passing on the street were looking at us a bit like we were crazy, taking photos of some random alley, but SEMY AND I WENT TO THE BAKERY! :D
