the coldplay stuff will definitely be up on the today show website, but i'd love you to record the full broadcast, yamfox! i dont know if the question-asking will be up there etc etc, and i'd really love to see everything.

ahh, SUCH a good interview. i think chris's sense of humor is one of my favorites in the world. i can't even list all my favorite quotes because there are too many! i think i really liked the part with the fake picture of his kids. and the PICTURES...:dead: i think this will probably hit american newsstands next week, and i can't WAIT to buy it!!

i think my heart just stopped. well, actually, this isn't exactly what i was hoping for. "we're still deciding what we're going to do with these songs." i was hoping for some huge, killer secret, but it's a start! :D let's hope it's a kid A/amnesiac type deal, but something better than amnesiac! the itunes release IS very tempting, i have to say, but i figure i can get those tracks from somewhere else, and i'll already have the thing on my computer from the leak. i'm buying the CD because i like CDs and i want the nice artwork...but how much do you want to bet that i'm going to end up with the itunes release too? :P

haha, in your position i'd be second-guessing myself like mad. "did i really hear that song?" "did i make it up?" etc etc :laugh4: but besides debs being a bit...secretive and sometimes somewhat ambiguous, i don't think she's EVER been wrong. then again, it's easy to get confused. i really don't think it's DAAHF, though, because that's supposed to be the same as "life in technicolor" just with lyrics. i say it's either "lovers" or a non-album track (and as much as i believe you, andrew, i hope it's a non-album track! :D)

i guess it doesn't matter all that much to me personally, because i'm planning to download the leak (for lack of a better term) from japan/the UK and buying the physical CD rather than itunes-ing it, but it's certainly interesting! i wonder if the people that refuse to download the "leak" on the 11th/12th would download the hypothetical early itunes release? or is it all about the physical CD and artwork? you DO get a digital booklet...

^haha, yeah. my gut believes andrew, of course, but part of me does wonder...debs and song descriptions also have a strong argument, but maybe not as strong as eyewitnesses. debs could have been confused. or earwitnesses. whatever.

yeah, i think that for bigger acts like coldplay, it's pretty unlikely. then again...considering the spread-out release dates and the inevitable filesharing...they COULD agree to do it with EMI. we'll see.

ahh. even in somewhat-tamer floor hockey you can get pretty bumped up. i mostly manage to sustain the good injuries while on ice, though. i think i have a good number of skate-blade scars myself. nothing on my brother, though. he better get used to it, though, because he's in it for the long haul. all this talk about hockey makes me realize how much i miss going to games :sad:

good thing pretty much no one agrees with you. if that doesn't make it to the final, i'll be pretty surprised. i just want spies to be the other, but i'd be happy with yellow or don't panic too :D

errrm, i would bet money that debs has heard and owns the album. it's DEBS. she has a cassette of unreleased coldplay material in a safe. i think she's probably heard VLVOD :P i'm not sold on it being anything yet. it's in my itunes as "lovers in japan," but that's just because it's convenient. i really wouldnt be at all surprised if this was a non-album track, because it doesn't fit any of the song descriptions we've heard. it does appear in the brixton/MSG unlocked materials, but...so do other songs that aren't on the album. this isn't to say i don't believe locust/andrew, both of whom i believe have heard the thing...but still. i like to have some hope that it's non-album material :D (aaaaand i do really trust debs).

ahh, i can do round three, then ;) and i won't forget life is for living this time! for a pretty unathletic person, i used to kick ass at floor hockey. i guess that's what i get for growing up in a house full of guys that breathe hockey.

melanie, where did you find such a high-quality screencap from the SOS video? i'd LOVE to know, because this is pretty stunning! you can see PORES, even, and there are some images i'd kill to capture from that video :D and i think this is the PERFECT length of chris-hair: that and the "talk" video length :dance:

i ate briggs. i was tired of him wreaking havoc on mods and members, so i ate him to get the job done with. nahh, he just got tired and passed the survivor torch to me for a little while. i figure he'll be back, but if he's not online in the next 40 mins, i'm making the executive decision of doing round 3.

i think the vocal-lessness is genius on their part, really! it doesn't give too much away, but it shuts us up. well, it doesn't shut us up, OK, but...it gives us more to chew on than before. i'm surprised that i LOVE it so far, because i like the "pretty" stuff like VLV more, but i'm really intrigued by this one. it's like a mix of X&Y, radiohead, and a TINY pinch of their very very old stuff, which i looooove.
