Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
i actually quite enjoy high speed, but i didn't expect it to last. i just hope shiver, spies, and yellow stick around till the end. don't panic as well.

Coldplay to make 'Guitar Hero' debut
hahaa, you know, violet hill is actually a great choice! but i'm SO painfully bad at guitar hero that i tend to avoid it, but i'll give it another go if coldplay's to be included :D now if they could only incorporate coldplay into more sports-themed videogames...i rock at those :P

*bump* this should be on the first page to get more votes :D only 12 more hours :P

"Our tour will feature magic balls" - ????
hmmm. this interests me to no end. they just HAVE to be mysterious, don't they?!!?! i hope it's not too weird, though...magic balls.

Coldplay To Perform "Viva La Vida" @MTV Movie Awards
VIVA LA VIDA LIVE?!?!?!?! YESSSSSS. while i love VH, i love VLV infinitely more. this is BRILLIANT news!!! can't wait for sunday! :D

June 6: The Hour interviews Coldplay
^i think he does most things besides writing with his right hand, but that's just what i've heard. i'm the opposite (write with my write, do pretty much everything else with my left), so that makes sense to me.

European Tour Dates!!!!
they're playing rotterdam when i'm not there! ahh, well that was bound to happen. would have expected them to play a larger venue in amsterdam rather than rotterdam, though. congrats, european coldplayers!!

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
i guess if i'd heard the in the basement version of videotape first, i would like it better, but as it stands i don't really see where it's much better than the album version. that's my favorite track on the album. sadly, there's no way i can go without coldplay until the 12th, and i don't really feel the need to. i'm going to make somewhat of an effort to quit playing the tracks (minus VLV...) so much. somewhat being the key word.

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
hockeyyyy! i haven't been keeping up with the NHL side of things as i should be, but my brother and dad have that covered, so i can just badger them. i quit both my jobs because i got one overseas for the summer, but that overseas job is requiring a lot of planning etc. ergo, minimal blog time. and my priorities have totally reorganized themselves in the past months...anyway. i'll get on it soon. i've been meaning to anyway.

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
i know, i knowwwww, i'm sorry :P. if it makes you feel any better, i haven't been doing much with my life-related blog, either. i guess i don't have much of an excuse now that i'm out of uni besides there being other more pressing things on my mind and to do than to write in my blog, but i have a bunch of (somewhat crappy) ideas. i just need to prioritize my time and stop sleeping till 1:30 PM . looking forward to your review, though! and i'll definitely bang one out once i get to hear it too.

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
SHOTTY!! it's something of a victory when non-coldplay lovers like what they hear :D. makes me happy, anyway. if i was more familiar with the pablo-honey b-sides, i would totally vote. finding those tracks is something i really need to work on. and while i agree about the removing songs from a great album, i just think about it as really giving critical thought to what is the best and why i like it so much. i think all of this is really fun, despite it being damn painful. i think these survivors are going to be the most painful of them all, particularly this one.

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
hahaha, that's da truf. i think my sig is getting a bit old, though, despite my disproportionate love for the VLV itunes commercial. i think jonny in my avi will be sticking around for a while. oohh boy, it's getting time for me to go to sleep, i think: i'm getting punchy and extra-chatty.

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
i like any time that briggins gets in a coldplay mood  i'm surprised yall agree with me on 'we never change.' that seems to be a pretty well-loved one, but it's never hit me in the right way like the others do. of course i love it, though. hmm, considering all the tracks in a critical way reminds me of why i loved this album more than AROBTTH for a long time. i think this is what i'll listen to tonight when i go to bed. i haven't listened to it in a while, i have to say.

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
i think it should stay here for more voting. i guess it fits more in releases, and would get more of the unbiased opinion in WoM, but it'll get the most attention here, and will force the most diehards of the diehards to really think about the albums and the songs etc. not that we don't already, i'm just saying it's nice to reconsider :D. this section gets the most traffic, anyway. EDIT: semy, you read my mind :P

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
nice, briggs! :D i have a feeling it might just be moved to releases, but YAY! my vote is for 'we never change' when the poll gets added.

The Bakery
hahahaa, angie, that's cracking me up! apparently they all live in/around primrose hill now, though? i think some recent article said that they could all walk to the bakery from their respective houses. i'm assuming that's a pretty posh area, then. semy: i think us crossing a sea might give us a hint we're on the wrong track, but my weirdo brain doesn't let me forget things, as you know, so if i've been there once i can work my way out of anything ;). aaaaand i'll be laden with guidebooks too :P coldplay-town stalking FTW!!

The Food Thread! (what's on your mind today?)
this forum really makes me crave foods at times the kitchen is closed, or at uni when i didn't have much of that stuff available. it's 11:30 PM and too late to rummage in the kitchen, yet now i want food. today i ate most of two mini bagels before having to dash out of the house so my brothers wouldn't be blown up by a bomb threat in the city, then a vat of popcorn at the movies, then a grilled cheese. thrilling, huh?

The Eating Pancakes at not breakfast club
anyone seen scrubs? BRINNER!! :D ahh, i used to love it when my school would serve pancakes or other breakfast foods for lunch. to this day, when there's nothing that i really want to eat in the caf at uni, i go over and make a waffle, because they leave that out 24/7. breakfast probably has my favorite food options out of all the meals, minus pizza and macaroni and cheese. other than those things, i'm more of a snack-food person :P

The Bakery
haha, well it helps to be pretty much obsessed with the place :laugh3:. it's safe to say that i know london much better than NYC (in theory, anyway), and i practically LIVE in NYC! i'm also a bit freakish about these sorts of things...my internal compass is pretty good :P and you're NOT going to be an annoying sod, so quit worrying! :laugh4:. and you're not supposed to be giving me a tour, we're supposed to be hanging! so come with me :D

Most Played Song
on this computer, my most frequently played coldplay song is "the scientist" at 90, and radiohead's "let down" is the overall most frequently played song at 95. i've only had this computer since october, though, so i guess that's not surprising. (interestingly enough, "VLV" is my 4th most listened to song at 89 listens! "warning sign" is third at 89 too) on my old computer, though...oh goodness. you should SEE the numbers in that itunes. last time i checked, i'd listened to "yellow" over 300 times...lots of other coldplay songs are in that range as well.

The Bakery
haha, well abbey road is in st. john's wood, which is right next to primrose hill (which is also where violet hill is located, not to mention the bakery itself ), which is very near camden, where coldplay got their start...and we do know the exact address of their old place :D same, i'm getting too excited. but i think part of one of my three days there might just be spent in that part of london...:P
-
The Worst That Could Happen.
-coldplay doing/releasing something super exciting and amazing (*cough* like all the non-album tracks *cough*) between june 28th and august 4th, because i'm going to be out of the country without much time to devote to coldplay related things  -not winning tickets to MSG (i guess i'm still going to the today show, though)
-
The Bakery
i was under the impression we already were...:P (just kidding, of course, because i doubt we'd find it and it's not like they'll be there anyway. still...i think it's in the neighborhood of abbey road...:sneaky:) you've got to get the crowbar; i don't think that will fly with airport security
-
The Bakery
i hope to find it too someday :nice: the thing is, i bet i'd pass it and never know, because i sincerely doubt there's a big neon sign with a blinking arrow reading "COLDPLAY'S THE BAKERY--ALL FANS WELCOME!! VLVODAAHF RECORDED HERE!!" :laugh4: i bet it just looks like some everyday building, but for some reason i imagine it being brick.

bloop.
that's a very good point, actually. i just tried imaging them doing the VLV itunes commercial or performing VH or other songs we've heard in whatever venues, and the old AROBTTH/parachutes street clothes don't really fit the image. i suppose everything is just part of a band's evolution, but it's just always been that my favorite bands (and my favorite eras of my favorite bands, like U2 and the beatles) wore what they want when they wanted to and didn't feel the need to dress up. i'm not exactly opposed to it or anything, it's just something new that i have to think about . makeup is something i'm a bit less comfortable with though. macphisto still scares the crap out of me, and i tend to get a bit distracted by all michael stipe's facepaint because it looks so damn uncomfortable :laugh3:. i just like to focus on the music and the lights and the videos on the screen at the concert rather than what the guys are wearing :P.
