YOU HAVEN'T HEARD 'SEE YOU SOON'?! i'm calling the coldplay police :bobby: that is my favorite coldplay song, bar none. i say take off: gold in them hills easy to please AROBTTH politik (i'm not a huge fan of either of the last two, even though i'm going to get yelled at for it) put on: amsterdam swallowed in the sea a message warning sign they're much more typical coldplay, and it seems like that's what your trying to show him. that's just me though.

"yellow" and "speed of sound "remind me of the end of the school year in 10th grade and into the summer of 2005. that's when i was getting into coldplay, and those were my absolute favorite songs at the time. "yellow" just made me think so much of how much i loved all my friends...agh, such an amazing time and year. i remember almost crying as i was listening to it, driving away from the end of the year pool party my grade always had, because it was the last time i'd see my friends for the summer. pathetic, huh. i got the "talk" single by mail-order in october 2005, so "the world turned upside down" makes me think of early-morning chemistry class because i would always listen to it in the car on the way to school and had it stuck in my head by the time i got to chemistry. in march 2006, i downloaded a bunch of rare tracks and b-sides, so songs like "harmless" and "ladder to the sun" make me think of that time, specifically that spring break. i really could go on and on, so i'm going to stop now :P

big lovers in japan? :laugh4: and "viva la vida" was accidentally leaked? i don't think so...seemed pretty normal and intended to me. but "cinematic" is the word i used to describe it! :D i suppose nothing we haven't heard, but thanks for posting!

^hmm, thats a good point. maybe it's in the lyrics posted on the site? i haven't investigated that myself yet. i think i need to hold off judement until i hear the full thing. it definitely wasn't my favorite of what we heard, but then again, you can barely hear the thing. it'll probably be a grower for me. but the LOW VOICE...:dead:

can't deny it, but i wish it wasn't that way!! i guess it's a good thing that i don't have an iphone or blackberry, because then i would be checking this place 24/7 (well, more than i already do...) and i think that's verging on unhealthy. anyway, i just don't feel like it's going to leak before the 11th. the only people that are getting it right now are the press etc, and those people probably value their careers MUCH more than being a hero among coldplay fans. i think leaks generally come from ordinary people that steal it off a factory line or whatever, but of course i'm not ruling out the possibility. i just think it's so well protected that it won't leak before june 11 :D

ooooh thank you!! his voice is lower than it's ever been! i have to say that this doesn't sound as epic as the others, and not very coldplay-ish, but it sounds COOL!

viva la vida and amsterdam. those have been the favorites for weeks :nice:

when every time you leave the house for longer than just a few hours, you think "VLVOD could have leaked and I WOULD HAVE NO IDEA..." when you have facebook mobile activated solely to have your friends tell you when/if major coldplay news happens and you're sleeping/out of the house. of course, facebook mobile is currently BUSTED...:angry:

HELP FROM INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS FTW!!! i don't see any reason why listening to it on june 12 is any different than listening to it on june 17, as long as its the entire thing in good quality. besides, i'll be on vacation in a remote place on june 17 with NO CD stores and extremely limited internet access, so i'd be a freaking mess if i had to wait till then, because i couldn't get it. i plan to get it on the 12th and then buy the CD in stores once i get back from vacation :D

Or do you have people in your camp that read it for you? 4. Every Coldplay fan has their all-time favorite Coldplay song. What is the song in your entire catalogue of work that you are most proud of writing? 5. In the recent NME article, you've called X&Y "problematic" and "flabby" and seem somewhat dissatisfied with your previous album. Are these common thoughts about a previously released album, or do you really think X&Y pales in comparison to the previous two albums? How do you think Viva la Vida... improves upon it? 6. i want to write screenplays for blockbuster movies. i'd also looove to write novels, but movies are where it's at for me :D realistically, i'll probably end up working some odd jobs in film studios, but as long as i can live off what i make, i'm cool with doing that. but i don't really want to live in LA...i want to live in CT or in england :P. good thing they're building a movie studio in CT! writing fiction in some form and/or working in the film industry are the only things i can really think of doing without being miserable.

my order: viva la vida life in technicolor lovers in japan lost violet hill ASARY of course i love them all, and i think i'll love "lost" and "LIJ" even more when i hear the real/higher quality versions, but "viva la vida"...i think that'll be up there as one of my forever favorite coldplay songs. i think it's absolutely perfect.

i've been waiting for this mini-film for years now. i thought we would have had it by now, because it sounds priceless :sad: but really, it sounds like a lower-budget shaun of the dead type thing with more famous people (ash and jonny and chris! :D). i hope it surfaces someday...

i've had this feeling too many times and it's come to nothing, so personally i tend to ignore them these days. but i do feel like they have to tell us their plan for the non-album tracks soon if they're going to be released before approximately july. i just want to know when and how! that's the thing i want to know more than anything.
