it's looking good so far, and who knows, it might blow AROBTTH out of the water, but i'm doubtful that anything will really make AROBTTH fall out of my personal #1 space, no matter how good this is. who knows, though...june 12 will tell! it might be, yeah, but i don't know, i still think AROBTTH and "clocks" will be their most recognizable stuff. maybe. that's what rocketed them to huge fame, especially in the US, and that is usually the sort of thing that bands are remembered for.

yeah, VLVOD jumped to #2 again after the itunes commercials :nice: it was number one at one point, but then american idol and whoever else had to knock it down :dozey: according to wiki, VLV is a single, but it can't make the charts in the UK. now of course, it's wiki, so i'm not talking like they have the answer or anything, but i find it interesting and potentially promising. i want a video and b-sides! :dance: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viva_la_Vida_%28Coldplay_song%29

i'd rather have the non-album tracks be leaked than the album ones, but i'm not really complaining. i think everything will sound just as good in the context of the album, as long as we don't play them to death. and besides, we've only got TWO "real" songs...the others are either different versions or clips/crappy quality. i think it'll be like hearing new songs entirely when we hear how they were MEANT to sound :D

i LOVE it. i mean, i still like VLV and maybe LIT better, but...this is just exact sort of thing i was hoping for. to me, this song in particular is a perfect mix of the styles of X&Y and AROBTTH...it's what X&Y could have been in my mind (even though i don't hate X&Y or anything like that :P). but grey's anatomy? REALLY?! you know, i was actually going to watch last night because there was nothing better on, but then i found hot fuzz on cinemax, so there wasn't a contest about what i was going to watch...but GAH! i really need to learn to go with my gut feelings! :P i don't know what i would have done, hearing this song unexpectedly in the show, though. probably convinced myself it wasn't coldplay, even though it so obviously is. agh, i love these guys!! i can't wait for the album even MORE now. with every leak i get more and more impatient, and i didn't have much patience to begin with. i must say, i like the calm, cute piano half more than i like the second half, but i LOVE it all! :D

agh, same, those were TERRIBLE. and not worth it, because i'm pretty short :P i still get them too, but usually only if i've been really active or standing a lot that day. apparently they can also be caused by lack of potassium, which i get next to none of :confused:

i wish i knew these songs well enough to vote. looks like i have a hell of a lot more radiohead exploring to do. i always did, but this poll reminded me.

i'm going to turn this on like now, but i think i already get what you're saying :D. the first time i listened to it, it was rather lateish, about midnight i think. but AROBTTH will always be my anti-insomnia. and boy do i need it.

11 wednesday morning?! i could see 11 PM on thursday night, but why the hell would you camp out in rockefeller center for TWO EXTRA DAYS?! :laugh4: i just hope you have some good plans for NYC in those two days! the more i hear about people camping out overnight etc, the more worried i become that 4AM won't be early enough to get a good viewing spot...

maybe i don't fully believe that it will be a true double album, but i do think there's something somewhat fishy going on. and coldplay definitely has something fishy up their sleeves about these non-album tracks. i just want to know WHEN and HOW we'll get to hear these songs! it would be doubly cool if they released them in a special way too :D

^the board was busted earlier today, and lots of things got posted multiple times :P and just for reference: rolling stone gave the new death cab for cutie four stars, and they loved it, AND it's currently #1 on billboard. four stars sounds fabby to me :D

definitely my favorite setlist so far! :dance: can't WAIT to see them in mansfield MA!

4 stars out of how many, 5? if it's out of 5, then 4 is damn good, i think! for example, rolling stone NEVER gives 5 stars to anything short of things like dark side of the moon and sgt. pepper etc etc. of course, it depends on the reviewing magazine or whatever it is, but in lots of publications, 4 stars is the new 5 stars :D thanks for posting! :dance:

ahhh, stop it, semy, you're making me too hopeful :P london+christmas+snow+coldplay= :dead: i'm pretty sure through the amazon UK contest, the airfare is covered both ways, (if i remember the fine print correctly) but i think you have to arrange for transport to and from the airport on both ends (NOT fun in america...we make it very difficult), and that you have to do the whole hotel thing yourself. but just think...everything is half as expensive over here for you! :D

yeah, i would have thought that they would have had a much better reason for a thursday release. it's just so...un-coldplay to try and break the record. still though, i doubt it was coldplay themselves that wanted this--probably EMI at the wheel again.

haha, i wish my house number was 42! i guess i just have to hope for coldplay to come out with a song called "2" :rolleyes: to see coldplay in london at christmas...:dead: well, not like it's happening :P
