LP5 IS FINISHED!
:cheesy:! If this is true, I agree with Brooke: I predict a June release. They're slow movers when it comes to releases and the like, and they always have a big hype machine around their albums that I figure will take some time to set up. I think smaller bands would be like "ooh, it's done, it'll be out in two months," but these guys...I think it makes sense for them to release it in June like they've been doing and play the festival gigs they have lined up soon after that. Nobody kill me for saying this, but to me it doesn't feel like they've been gone for very long at all . When I think about it and where I was in life when VLV was coming out, I guess it was kind of a while ago, but maybe because they toured so long etc etc it just doesn't feel like it's time for another album from them yet .

Boat trip Q&As: Matt McGinn & Phil Harvey's in first post... MILLER'S PUBLISHED @ 4PM GMT TODAY (FRI
Awww, he answered my question  . I suppose it was kind of a hard/unfair question because there's no one way to get into the industry or anything, but he was nice to answer it anyway :wacky:.

Coldplay Top of the Pops updates
Oh my GOD  I sure wish I got a chin for Christmas like I asked for  I'll take .gif requests later after my Christmas festivities are over if anyone else wants embarrassing keepsakes of themselves :P

Revisit: 60 Minutes looks back at Coldplay's "Christmas Lights" Unplugged (includes previously unsee
I  you, Anna  I just think it's so cool that they took the time to go back and pull out the old footage and bother to do a little few-minute update on the story. You can tell Steve Croft is a fan! :wacky: God, if I only knew when we first heard this demo how much this song would end up being so personally relevant to me

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
F-full concert in MP3?! :cheesy:    I always love when people do that for us, mostly for the priceless banter. :D

Gwyneth...
 Yeah, I swear, I would have like...become a nun or something if she actually did that, it was that far-fetched. Thanks for the article :D
-
Gwyneth...
If this happens, I'm the Queen of England. I suppose there's a slim chance that she could be an act before Coldplay or whatever, but I swear to God, if she gets on stage with Coldplay, I'll like...eat my hat.

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
:stunned: I remember you showing me that middle one of Chris while we were waiting to cross the street to the train station that night and I was in such awe I forgot to cross the street . And just LOOK at Phil's cheeks!! AMAZING work. You make me want to risk bringing my DSLR to concerts more often!

Mat Whitecross Interview (Part 2) up on Coldplay.com
I also love that he says that "Careful Where You Stand" as one of his favorite songs, because that's near the top of my list too, and then CP.com says "the choice of a hardcore Coldplay fan!" :P

I am having the most hilarious visions of them having swordfights to break the tension in the studio now . Can you imagine?

Mat Whitecross Interview (Part 2) up on Coldplay.com
AWW, our shoutout :wacky: What did you think of the Coldplay fans [recruited via Coldlay fan site Coldplaying] who were on the boat for the Christmas Light shoot? They were amazing! I've spoken to a few people who've seen the video and assumed they were a special effect! But it was so beautiful. I think the band were really touched that they turned up and actually did that for real, and that they were patient enough to sit there in the freezing cold and wait for us to get on with it. There's something quite moving about hearing them singing along to the track. I really like it. They sounded brilliant.

That's new as well :D. This was a slightly extended version!

:freak: FKGJKFDHGJKHJKDG. I remember watching this clip as well and expecting it to be out that Christmas and it wasn't...but I guess I never expected it to become its own single and video and hype-machine that would create so many memories for me, I thought it would be part of a dorky holiday video on the site :P. But this is an extended version than was originally aired on the show! Steve Croft isn't talking over it and there's another few seconds in it! I can't wait for someone to rip it :D :cheesy:

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
:stunned: I didn't even see Chris's parents come out! That's so awesome that you got to talk to them and that they were so kind. That whole family just warms my heart :wacky: I got two pictures with both you and Chris in the frame, though! They're not fabulous or anything, but let me know if you'd like the full-resolution versions :nice:.

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
Thank you! :D I'm supposed to fly at 5:05 PM GMT tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes :uhoh: However, I'm currently sick and I blame the whole Coldplay adventure . If I didn't race up to Liverpool, wait in the cold, sing and dance my heart out, and lose sleep and food, I feel like I wouldn't feel like such crap now :P. Totally worth it, though.

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
Hahahaha, that's happened before. Occasionally I'll Google something and the first/one of the first hits will be my blog . I don't know what that says :P

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
A bit late to the party, but here's my long-winded review and how I got to be able to go all of a sudden! http://bit.ly/eTKepQ For those of you that haven't read my reviews before, it is SUPER long as usual :P Videos tomorrow, perhaps :D

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
This is a ridiculously fangirly and stupid observation, but I have a lot of free time on my hands right now and I find it mildly amusing that Chris was wearing a women's hat last night :P http://uk.thenorthface.com/tnf-uk-en/women/accessories/women-s-elevation-pom-pom-beanie.html#item=women's_elevation_pom_pom_beanie_1 I suspected as my friend has the same one, so I looked it up :P. I'm a sadsack.

[20-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Newcastle (JOURNAL TYNE THEATRE, WESTGATE RD)
Sooo...I was supposed to fly home to America today. Southern England's inability to deal with 4" of snow has grounded me in London til Wednesday. All I can do is laugh. It's too ridiculous to even be mad about. This, however, means I will be in England tomorrow and Monday. If I can figure out a way to get to Newcastle (long shot) by Monday...no one would happen to have an extra ticket I could buy off them, would they? I know this is the LONGEST shot in the world, haha, as I know tickets are astronomical on ebay. I just thought I might as well ask the question :P.

Chris Martin Snubbed As Oscars Unveil Original Song Nominations (pg.4)
They've had writers of songs perform in the past, even if they're not the original performer. All of this is just speculation for now, for a bit of fun . I'm laughing at the thought of Chris bumbling out an acceptance speech, though .
-
Chris Martin Snubbed As Oscars Unveil Original Song Nominations (pg.4)
They usually all perform, though...he could turn it down or get someone else to do it, but I think that would just be so ridiculous :P. His absence would make the whole thing more obvious than it would be if he just did it, but I doubt he sees it that way . Anyway, who knows if he'll even be one of the five. This is so awesome, but I can't help snarfing a little bit at the irony :P
-
Chris Martin Snubbed As Oscars Unveil Original Song Nominations (pg.4)
! Yeah, right :P. If he ends up on the shortlist, I'd bet money on them not even sitting with each other at the ceremony despite the fact that they always seat people from the same films near each other :dozey:. I just find this so hysterical...they won't be seen in public together and barely acknowledge one another's existence so they don't look like they're a Hollywood power couple feeding off each other's fame, and then they work together like this :P. I think they're allowed to go for a walk in the park together now, or bring the kids out for pizza.

Chris Martin Snubbed As Oscars Unveil Original Song Nominations (pg.4)
:cheesy: Chris Martin is nominated for an Oscar! Now he's stepping into his wife's territory times two :dozey: :P
