Thought 'indie' meant 'independent artist' and not really a genre? And I call 'alternative' anything that isn't mainstream. When people ask me what I listen to I just say "Radiohead ... And Blur" in hopes it doesn't sound too weird. People are usually ok with that kind of answer even though they don't know them.

You got the CD so fast, wow! And I want to print mrkjhnwht's post and put it on a wall. I was thinking just the other day how The Universal is still relevant and that it'll probably stay that way. To add to the things others have said about why they prefer Blur (because I agree with them and you guys are way more eloquent than I am): - They're not douches to other people. Surely, they'd fallen into the shitty stardom pit and had a hard time climbing out of it but so far I haven't heard much of them slagging other artists like Oasis were. I'm sure at least one of them said, "This guy's a cock," but it most certainly wasn't said just because they wanted to make the mentioned artist look bad in other people's eyes. - Aaaand the quality of writing both observational as well as personal songs in such a variety of genres. Not many bands/songwriters are able to do that. - Finally, their energy of stage. Never have I seen a band enjoy on the stage as much as Blur.

They're not really prog rock, though, are they?

Actually, I think he's sweet with fans that appreciate him in return. Then again, I've never met him so I'm not sure. It's just my hunch.

Louise - yeah that was it. He told her "Well, you can't expect to get back to the front." So eventually she gave in and left the pit. Thank god, she was annoying. I think people let her through because of her problem - she wasn't making it up but it she did think she'd get back her spot. I'll have to wait for Blur 21 to get cheaper or something, I absolutely cannot afford it right now. The copy of Blur that I have comes in a square box, and includes four cards with photos of the guys, a booklet with an interview about the album and the bonus disc. £15, not bad at all! Also, I wish I dreamt about Blur! I've never managed to so far, I don't think. :(

Really? I was on Alex's side, more or less in front of him. A girl with blonde hair who's a big NO fan was standing next to me. And right before Caramel, a girl came up to the front and had an "interesting" conversation with a security guy, which ended in her being pulled out. :rolleyes: And yep, 13 is awesome. I kinda wish I bought the SE CD at the exhibit. I only got Blur.
