Would be shocked if the album cover wasn't just the flower of life with the black background -- the posters had the flower of life with the black background marked 'December 4'. I think the gif is just for the single and it's their pinned tweet because they're dropping it Friday.

I am shocked to see how highly some rate MX & X&Y and even Ghost Stories - VLV, AROBTTH & Parachutes, & even Prospekts March EP, for me, are all in a class of their own.... But that's music for you & that's why no one is right or wrong, it's all about what you relate to.

Really underwhelmed by this album. I don't know man. Sounds weird but I think they set the bar so high with Viva La Vida that everything else is just not going to come close to it. Having said that, it's still a better album than X&Y and MX.

Viva La Vida vs. Ghost Stories Round 1: Life In Technicolour Round 2: Cemeteries of London Round 3: Magic Round 4: 42 Round 5: Lovers In Japan Round 6: Viva La Vida Round 7: Midnight Round 8: Oceans Round 9: Death And All His Friends :dozey: nothing will top VLV for me overall. I genuinely think it's one of the best albums ever.

Not in love with it upon first listen. It's a decent song, the last minute of it steals the show. Lyrics are a bit meh for me - overall I can imagine this will be an easily forgotten song on Ghost Stories.

As much as I would LOVE a Coldplay album at the end of this year. I just don't see it happening. If my memory serves me correctly, we knew about and got big hints about VLV & MX SEVERAL months in advance to them being released. I know December is still 5 1/2 months off, but I would be genuinely shocked if we got something in December. :\ I HOPE I'M DEAD WRONG THOUGH! :D

Viva la Vida is the greatest album of all-time. Yeah. That's right. I SAID IT. :smug: Anyways, I hope LP6 takes inspiration from all the work that they've done to this point. As far as album artwork, I think it should be incredibly simplistic. I am also against them being on the cover. Laaaaaaame. Having said all that, I won't care if LP6 is nothing at all like any of that. It'll just be great to have new Coldplay to listen to!

There hasn't been any news on LP6 since February. I am dying to hear SOMETHING. . . ANYTHING! :whaaat:

Pretty darn good. Hopefully we see a real surge the next 5-6 days. Those probably won't arrive before Christmas, but by the end of the year no less!

I'm fully expecting not to receive anything, just to avoid any let down. Even just a post card would do just fine, but you never know.. Hopefully the person I sent mine to gets it soon, sent it 2 weeks ago. It's been awesome checking this thread seeing all the gifts people are receiving!
