  10. nothing but a tabloid/rag^. so is the new U2 bashing I heard about... so Coldplay is the 'ideal band' and every other band should follow their lead?

  20. it sure was.. I loved that song before that and now I am even more in love with it if that's possible..:D
  21. exactly.. thinking that very thing...
  22. i have seen them at different times during a couple of tours... and the setlist doesn't change.. I am not talking the feel of the shows and or the atmosphere. I am talking the setlists mainly. This doesn't not change and if I am going to multiple shows this just doesn't do it for me that's why I don't see them more than once a tour now.
  23. everyone has their own take on things I give you that but having followed them since 2003 and going to more than one show every tour except for this one everything is the same, scripted the same, etc... Using the reasoning about the casual fans being the main core of the audience at their shows just doesn't fly anymore. They clearly have a huge fan base that go to multiple shows and they have to know this so why not change it up with a song or two (even just doing them acoustic). Keeping a main core of songs each show makes sense for the causal fan, this is what U2 (as does most bands, frankly comparing DMB doesn't make sense cuz they are a jam band and these bands tend to be quite spontaneous with their setlists, completely different style of music) does for the most part but they do pull out the rarities here and there and snippets of songs they haven't done in years. They do this because they know that their fans go to many of their shows and honestly I think this keeps their creative energy, excitement and the love they have for playing live going all these many years. IMO, if they have enough of a back catalogue of songs they should pull a couple out here and there..
