well i personally am pro choice, my reasoning doesnt matter, thats not my point. I have said before i would never condone an abortion in my own family unless rape had been the case or if my loved one was in danger of losing her life..That being said, stupid teenage mistakes (leading cause of abortion) she can have it, and i will take care of the child. I dont want any child from my line to be aborted or put into a foster home. I dont think it should be legal all of the time, and i dont think it should be legal after the first two months or so.. I think only in cases, as i said, where the persons life is in danger or she was a rape victim, or the family is simply without the means to support a child (the foster homes are crowded enough as it is). Not just because she got drunk one night and made bad decisions. i dont think that merits an abortion. Also i believe that abortion should only be done in the very early stages of pregnancy when it is basically just a mass of cells. an embryo. Not when it is a child.

what if the woman was raped? she should be forced to have a care for a child from a man who is not her husband or lover. And you talk about the child, how traumatizing is that for a kid to find out that his dad wasnt even a guy who ran off AFTER conception, he wasnt even with her! he was a bum who raped her! What if the womans life is in danger? The Fetus's heart does not begin beating till the 6th week of pregnancy, its just a little ball of embryo until then! plus that site you list is an obvious anti abortion site, they will publish one side of the story. also, abortion is going to happen whether you like it or not, legal or not, there will always be people who will get it done. Back in the day illegal abortions were performed, people could die, BOTH the fetus and the mother. Its far better this way. let me also make it clear that i myself would never sanction abortion in my own home simply because thats not how i would react to this. Unless my daughter or wife was raped, or it would put their life in danger, i would recommend having the child, and if she is to young to take care of the baby, i would take it in(just because i dont want anyone in my family line to have to go through any orphanages). But thats another thing, you would see a HUGE rise in the already packed orphanages. And you claim science is on your side, but let me ask you this, do you believe in the big bang theory or a "higher power"??? because many people i know try and use science only when it is convenient for them.

it wont pass, i understand waht they are saying, but what they fail to realize is that, sure a few members of congress might have kids who get drafted, but the rest of the country will bear the real burden. And that really would not go well..whoever imposes a military draft would be committing political suicide

And i have to agree with Nick, on a couple points. 1) there is bound to be things like this happening by ANY army facing hostiles (doesnt matter who they are). and nobody is above it. If you believe your country isnt guilty of such atrocities, then you just dont know about it. 2) you cant judge all american/british troops because a few troops beat some guys up...i mean look at what those guys are facing! they have to live there knowing that everyone they see on the streets could be hiding an AK-47 and waiting to attack, every building they go by they could be attacked by an RPG, and every road they travel on could be wired with an IED. Im not saying that waht these men did was right, far from it, and as you all probably know, i am a staunch anti war activist, but i do believe that saying all american troops are bad because of things like this is a little overkill

Your arguement about taking jobs nobody wants is not true, the reason illegals even GET those jobs is because they are willing to work for a half or a quarter of what an american citizen is REQUIRED to make. I know plenty of people that are jobless or work in fields where many illegals are hired who say the whole "americans think they are too good to do these jobs" story is nothing but bs. There are plenty of people here who have no problem rolling up their sleeves
