Almost all things being produced were forced to be exported to winning countries like France and Great Britain.....The Germans had no say, so it left a chip on their shoulder for ever. Then when Hitler came along promising a Great German Dynasty, he brought back what it was liek to be PROUD of being German....THATS why it was so easy for him to gain popularity. The people in Germany didnt know he was a madman waiting to spring.

And the Allies realized the genius of scientists like Von Braun....The Germans were and still are some of the most gifted engineers, chemists, and theorists ever. They were the first to successfully build, operate, and engage a jet fighter plane. There are countless occaisions where the German genius is present. THATS why they grabbed as many as possible. They werent Nazi's. No more than you or I. They did their jobs. And much of the modern luxuries we enjoy today are directly influenced by their achievements.

whenever i tell people what Bush did to get us into Iraq....(first its "they deffinately have WMD's" to "we need to spread democracy to the world" and now it is "the war on terror") He and his cronies knew exactly what was going on there, the intel wasnt false at all, the weapons inspectors went before council and said "THEY DONT HAVE ANY WMD'S!". but we went anyways. But whenever i talk to people about that, they always say, "well Clinton lied about his affair!!" sure he had an affair and i have lowered respect for him because of it. BUT how many innocent people and soldiers were killed because of that?? NONE. How many future catastrophes (civil war in iraq and the shiites in Iraq hooking up with Iran) did that cause? if he had said "yes i had an affair" he would have gotten a slap on the wrist. Because its a presonal matter, not a matter that gets men killed. AND he fessed up to his mistake and put himself at the mercy of the country and congress. But because Bush is too much of a Pussy (exscuse my french) to admit to his mistakes and lies, good american young men are being killed by the dozens every day. So i ask you this, why would high ranking officers in the Deaths head SS, Waffen SS, leibstandarte, and other Nazi organizations, shoot themselves instead of being captured? Most of the men put on trial were not guilty of war crimes, but were ,none the less, "Germans". (that was the outlook of that time. ALL germans were bad, we know now that isnt true, but back then it was) SOMEONE had to be convicted for these crimes. The world was screaming for answers and most of the people responsible, Heinrich Himmler, Reinhardt Heydrich, and Goebbels. Himmler came up with the idea, Heydrich came up with the plans, how to do it, and carried it out (known as the butcher of prague), and Goebbels covered it up with his propaganda. All of these men are dead before they can be prosecuted. The ones who shot themselves had SOMETHING to hide. Its like burning the evidence that is going to convict you. Except their evidence was already exposed and they could not hide.
