  1. San Marino - the colours go really well together and its overall aesthetic looks really peaceful and island-like.
  2. Happy birthday! May it be filled to the top with everything you love and hope for :nice:
  3. ^ How many people in each section? I'm not sure but it is A LOT. And actually, on second thought.... I don't think us pit people would want to lose our spots in the pit after lining up for so many hours to pass out posters. Hmmm we need to revise.... Here's a different idea: what if we made one giant, huge, beautiful, grade-A thing together? Team-work style.
  4. Fix You. Fix You. Fix You. My friend had been talking about them for a while but I sort of rolled my eyes at her. Little did I know what was to come. I was watching SNL and they happened to be performing that night. I watched them perform Fix You, fell in love, and I literally bought all three albums in that week and listened to them religiously for the whole summer. :nice:
  5. I agree ^ if the flags are more concentrated in one area of the venue (ie. pit area), then it'll definitely make a bolder statement that's more visible and therefore effective. I think an efficient way to distribute the flags to GA people in particular would be to pass them out before the show starts when we're actually inside the venue and the people are actually there in the area.
  6. More so idealist than pragmatist, althought I wouldn't say I'm impractical.. Anyway, I did this lengthy quiz a long time ago for our careers class in school and apparently I am an Idealist.
  7. This is the almighty flag Can we make it havarti cheese? It's the best - someone bring crackers, or bread and we'll sandwiches :wideeyed:
  8. Well that's a start :smug:. Guys, I'm going to be proud of us, we're finally initiating something haha I've never done a meet up before either but I suppose it can't hurt. Hmm if this were facebook, an event page would be made...... we need a time and specific place to meet. Also, how would we recognize each other among the other people lining up (other than party hats, of course).
  9. ^ Haha, aunie are you planning a stake out? ;) And yes, I love how we're like the liveliest thread on here. Only the Wembley Stadium thread is ahead of us, but that's to be taken with a pinch of salt, because.... it's Wembley which is MASSIVE haha
  10. Hello, I hope this isn't too off-topic since it's not coldplay-related but I do want to put this in my signature. Just 1:02 to 1:04 (the "Try not to give advice you can't follow" bit) if that's possible. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXpXpYLoCek]YouTube - JULIAN CASABLANCAS - PHRAZES FOR THE YOUNG (PREVIEW)[/ame] Thanks A TON :nice:
  11. I want a new Strokes album too. They just need to come back with an amazing record and all will be alright with the world. In the meanwhile, I'm actually really looking forward to this. Not only because I am purely in love with Julian, but because it feels like it's been way too long since I've heard anything Strokes-related. That trailer reminds me so much of images from their linear notes for last record. Ahh nostalgia.
  12. ^ Well said. I'll just give my thanks in advance if this does get uploaded. How on earth did your friend get his hands on this?
  13. "Now and then", meaning when you pass and get the correct answers, right?
  14. I'm in the same boat. I don't like it because I'm not particularily ace at it and it's so frustrating when you can't get the answer. And yet, calculus was probably one of my most enjoyable classes this year. It was the class and the people whose company I enjoyed, not the trigonometric identities and logarithm derivatives. :dozey:
  15. Speaking of tickets, I still have that first Section 111 ticket I bought which I still need to get rid of :uhoh: Oh god. I'm a terrible procrastinator. Anyway, I ought to post this here too other than in just the for trade/sale ticket thread. Here's my plea: ----------------------------------- Hello! I've got an extra ticket I no longer need for Coldplay's concert July 30th in Toronto at the Rogers Centre. Section 111 Row 30 This is a great seat and I'm only giving it up because we managed to get GA tickets :nice: — and FACE VALUE of course. PM me if you're at all interested and we'll definitely work something out. Thanks for reading.
  16. Sparks and Rush Of Blood To The Head are probably some of my favourite songs. My heart would melt
  17. Yeah, those methods could end up messy and unorganized... Is there even a break in the show where the band isn't playing and could be interrupted with a happy birthday? That's so great to hear :nice: How did the conversation go? I'm really curious now as to why they are "very excited" for this show. Is something special in the works? Ahhh maybe I'm over analysing this, but it makes me want to do something extra and integrate something as an audience into the show.

  19. Hmm well how many sheets would we be printing out and what would be the cost of it all? I think that's the tricky part, to organize something on a large scale like this. Possible, but tricky. I wish we could get the entire venue to start singing happy birthday to Will or something at some point in the show. Something memorable to the band, and to show them what great fans they have in Toronto, you know? It's never bad to be ambitious
  20. Hmm how could we do something like that though?.... If only one of us owned a paper or printing company and we could pass them out en masse. If only I weren't a broke student..... Yep I suppose you could always walk along the Harbourfront or Queens Quay and find something to do if you're too early. Maybe I'll have a late afternoon lunch and then head over.... do you think that's too early?
  21. Lore, I can't believe how fast time has gone by! Happy birthday once again on here and may your days and your years be filled with everything you've wanted and with dreams coming true left, right, and centre (and yes, that means a grand Coldplay tour for you!) Do all the things you want to do, and never change but for the better :heart::kiss: We love you lots! And here's a koala bear hug (because they remind me of you :nice:)
  22. The crowds here are always on their feet even before the band gets on the stage. So standing is a must :smug: It's so hard not to stand, and sitting just bottles up all the live energy that is supposed to be in a show. I say, let loose and have fun.
  23. I think I'm going to be there as early I feel like it that day :P It'll come down to the weather and how early my friend is willing to go as well. I don't think I'll mind waiting really, after all, this is *general admission* for Coldplay. Ohhh and I really like the idea of those Canadian flags with the butterfly on it. It's a terrific idea!
  24. That doesn't sound too great.. How is the ink erased? :shocked2: I'd say try contacting the person who sold you your ticket and if they're kind enough, they'd try contacting Ticketmaster for you and explain to them your situation. Just as long as the barcode scans, right?
