I would probably give them each a card or something lame like that, each with a personal note of thanks to each of the members. I'm actually clueless as to what else I would give them which isn't all that expensive, if I were in your situation. Anyway, good luck! That's very kind of you to say, but I said what I said not because I'm a master at photoshop (far far from it, and I'm not bragging at all by the way. I pretty much suck at anything that doesn't involve the brush tool :P) but because it doesn't take a lot of effort to stick the "Viva La Vida" paintstrokes - made red by a blend filter - on top of a random classical painting. If I were to take a wild guess, he probably downloaded the PSD file that I uploaded in the wallpaper thread, moved and removed some of the splatters, and bam, placed it on the painting and finished it in 5 minutes. Honestly, if you're out to fool people, at least make it convincing. The creator didn't even consider the composition of the text or the image, its like they've both been positioned randomly. Probably an unneeded rant on my part, but I don't really understand why people come here to try to trick people and get them excited for nothing. Its happened time and time again and it isn't really a constructive way to use the forums. Ok, I'm done. I'm braced for your e-slaps :P

Yes, you're close... I think I filtered out all the parts of the image which were under a certain level of brightness, and then spent over an hour getting rid of all the brighter parts of the image that weren't paint splatters. It was time consuming, but ultimately quite useful. I'm sure someone could have done it better than me though :P

Viva La Vida Life In Technicolor Lovers In Japan Violet Hill / Lost? (draw) A Spell A Rebel Yell A few notes about my order... I think I like the acoustic version of Lost and Violet Hill equally, but by the way Lost! sounds in that video interview, I think it will be above VH, and maybe even LIJ in the final list. It sounds awesome. Also, the top 2 are very close for me, but VLV edges ahead by a fraction, because it was the song that had the most emotional impact for me. And I still love it now, too. It hasn't lost it's spark yet.

I definitely agree with the idea of not hearing any more album songs, and personally I've decided NOT to listen to anything else from the album, if it doesn't leak all at once. we've heard 4 or 5 songs out of the 13 on the album, and thats enough for me. I can wait the rest of the way. But yes, if they were to start leaking NON album tracks, then bring it on! That way we get new (and I assume great) music from them, without having the album spoiled anymore. I'm also, like you guys, keen to find out how and when they'll be releasing these "Flotsam and Jetsam" songs, because I'm sure they're all really good. And I've learned not to trust my instincts on this one. As Thom Yorke says, "just because you feel it, doesn't mean its there".

^Well, 18 days, because thats when it comes out here, and it would be all over the internet at that point. I just wish someone would provide evidence for this Debs claim, and since no one has done so (and I can't check myself because i registered to the old forum a long time ago and forgot my username :dozey:) I'm skeptical. And Andrew here, who has heard the album already, says its not DAAHF (which is what most of us think) and that it IS in fact Lovers In Japan... and so does that Locust7 guy, who gave us an early review of Violet Hill and obviously has inside information. If only Debs would give a straight answer for once. *sigh*. Personally i really like the song, bearing in mind its been edited for sure, to fit the show. But I'm also thinking it has to be heard in the context of the album to be fully appreciated, so roll on June 12th! (or a leak :P)

This is one of their best, most understated pre-parachutes songs they have produced in my opinion. I do like most of your list though, even though there are quite a few things i would personally change ('Gold...' would have to go for me, and be replaced by something like 'Swallowed in the Sea').

Yep, and you've heard it too, havn't you? :D So I don't know what all the confusion is about, although Debs outright DENYING its not that song sounds a little fishy to me. No one has posted evidence yet either. We'll have to wait and see, i guess :dozey:

Although I can't think of many people who say that these days :rolleyes: Although I can think of plenty of words you guys have decided to pull out of thin air...:P But this is obviously a cheap way of getting publicity. Publicity she should be gaining if/when she makes quality music that people will listen to. Until then, I can quite safely say that her music isn't worth noticing, seeing as she feels the need go about the wrong way of getting noticed.

Come Wednesday, it'll only be 2 weeks away. But I know what you mean, we've waited for ages, and these reviews and leaks are only heightening the anticipation. But still. Patience. :P

Ive been listening to Lovers In Japan a lot today, and thats got me listening to their pre-parachutes stuff. My favourite songs today are Such A Rush & See You Soon.
