Ah, I didn't even know a VLV ringtone existed yet! Usually it takes them over a month to come out with a ringtone of a new song like that, at least in my experience. I'll just stick to Don't Panic for now :P Ooh, random thought: I've been playing Viva La Vida quite a lot on the speakers this past week, quite loud too, and especially today (because one of my earphones broke yesterday :dozey:), but I usually play these song when I think no one is around. But today I heard one of the girls walking down the stairs this morning, and i could SWEAR she was whistling Viva La Vida! I mean it could have been a similar sounding song I guess, but I know the melody to that chorus when I hear it :P So there you go. And example of Coldplay being contagious, in action.

Unless he somehow got hold of official lyrics, it remains his own interpretation. :wink:

I think you may be too late, although I'm not sure. Its been at 100% for a while, but I don't know if that means anything.

8.2 is a brilliant mark! Very few songs that I've heard get over 8/10 for me (not even Violet Hill, actually).

Nice! :dance: A lot more people are liking this one. Violet Hill was a more love or hate type of thing, if people's opinions are anything to go by.

Personally I don't find the lyrics funny in the slightest, in fact its the simple and honest lyrics that remind me of the Parachutes and Blue Room era type stuff, which I love. And at least the lyrics aren't pretentious, like some of their later stuff arguably is. But remember though, they probably started playing the song a minute or 2 into the song in that Grey's Anatomy scene, so I think there's some more lyrics we havn't heard yet, for sure. Either way, I think this is the most intruiging song we've heard from this album so far, the dynamics... going from quiet piano to Explosions In The Sky-esque finale, is amazing in my opinion.

This is the same guy who rick rolled us. That should clearly tell people that he's just looking for a reaction. The sooner we stop commenting/thread is deleted, the better.

We went through this whole thing months ago anyway. We'll have to wait until the album is released or leaked before we hear this one i think.

I can't see any smilie on there. Plus, The Escapist (song) is supposed to sound like the introduction to Life In Technicolor, but with lyrics. And none of these tracks sound like that.

Well if he can get the lyrics mixed up with the song titles, I'm not too sure we can take this too seriously. But giving X&Y 4 stars and VLV 3 stars is enough to tell me that they shouldn't be trusted.

Well technically, there are 13 songs on the album. I made a thread about this I think... here! http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45299 Which means there are 8 more we have yet to hear even one second of. But I think so far, this record is sounding better than X&Y, for sure. It may equal or even surpass the first 2. But I can't say for sure until I've heard the whole thing.
