  1. Thanks, I knew Death And All His Friends was a subtitle! I'm glad its all been confirmed officially now.
  2. ^ Oh my goodness, haha :laugh3:. That would be hilarious, you're right. FAR too risky, though.
  3. Except, guys, i think you can add tour dates without permission, so DON'T try doing that! We could get into real trouble if that happens.
  4. Look, we don't know for sure what the album title is! Prospekt has said two different things in those last two journals. It might be just Viva La Vida, but he's probably just shortening the full title to that, because the second part is a subtitle. We can't just fully disregard his statement that "the album title is: 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends' ", surely?
  5. Both the boxset and the pringles tubes are awesome I agree :D And I'm usually quite sensitive as to what pictures end up on facebook and stuff, but I figure posting them here is pretty safe... even if I AM making a fool of myself :laugh1: You look great in all the pictures you've posted anyway Chelsea, (yes even the cookie picture! :laugh3:) so there's really nothing to stop you from posting them :nice: Aww thanks Lore! And lovely pics Jenika!
  6. Well said chelsea. I don't think any reviews at this stage are even meant to go into detail about what's good, what's bad and what's different. And remember, the Rolling Stone article was written BEFORE the tracklisting was even released, so really they were only analysing individual songs and NOT the album. So that doesn't even count. As for the Billboard one, they seemed to be focusing on how the songs sounded stylistically, and not what they thought about it. It was almost like they were giving an update on the band's progress, it was formal. If you're waiting for a proper review from them, or anyone else, wait until June 16th (or a couple of weeks leading up to release perhaps, if we're lucky). I mean, the tracklisting has only JUST been released, so give it time. As for me, I'm making up my own mind about the album when I hear it, thank you very much. Even if threads start popping up here stating how crap they think it is, its not going to deter me from listening and enjoying. PATIENCE!
  7. Haha, thanks :nice: Yesh, I do like the singles boxset. A little too much, maybe :laugh1: but its just too cool, you know. I needed something to hug at the time, and since there were (sadly) no pringles tubes in sight, the boxset was the next best thing ;) Hehe, I'm going to keep it long now :P though it does need a little tidying up, I reckon.
  8. RunForTheHills replied to Pseudonym's topic in Coldplay
Yeah, great minds think alike! Its definitely what I see in my head when I'm listening to it. It would make such a great video, IMO. Haha, I used to have no idea what Chris was on about in that video either. But with repeated listens i think I've sussed out most of the lyrics. I do always, forget them though, because really the song is focusing on the music itself, and not the singing... maybe. I'm speculating, of course. But the way the song is arranged its as if the guitars are deliberately made to drown out his voice.
  9. I wasn't sure whether I should post these in the mimicking smiles thread, but the fact was that I wasn't actually intending to mimic any at the time. They just happen to resemble one or two. Basically it was 3am the other day (Friday?) and I was bored and very tired, so I thought "wouldn't it be a wonderful idea to take some pictures of myself?". So thats what I did... unfortunately. And they turned out to be very silly.
  10. Unfortunately, it works for me. Arrgh.
  11. ^I think its just speculation, but it does seem likely because we know that they've been working on that particular song for a while.
  12. RunForTheHills replied to Pseudonym's topic in Coldplay
Oh yes, it was the 4th single wasn't it. I would have loved to see what they could have done with the video of that song, given all the imagery in the lyrics. A black and white video with Chris walking down an endless street at night, only lit by street lamps, comes to mind. And thanks for the info! I've never read that book before even though I've seen it in Zavvi & HMV a few times. I'll need to dig out that AROBTTH interview CD to see what they said about it there, because its been a while since I heard it.
  13. RunForTheHills replied to Pseudonym's topic in Coldplay
Can you remember which interview he said that in? I don't think I've heard him talk about that the song very often, is all. And yes, I'm one of those people who wanted SITS to be the 5th single instead of the Hardest Part (which I think is one of the weakest tracks on the album, by the way). I distinctly remember making a thread about it, actually.
  14. Woah, its between The Bends, High And Dry and Just. I didn't see that coming. :stunned:
  15. ^Oooh, thank you! Can't wait to watch it :nice:
  16. RunForTheHills replied to Pseudonym's topic in Coldplay
No, A Whisper. But I know where you got that from - the X&Y interview CD, right? ;)
  17. RunForTheHills replied to Pseudonym's topic in Coldplay
How can you not like that song? Actually, its definitely one of the better songs on X&Y. I like it better than Fix You, at any rate. A Whisper... hmm. It's definitely not a bad song, and it certainly shows that Coldplay weren't afraid to put a more alternative track on such a crucial album. And along with the songs 'Daylight' and 'AROBTTH', it just makes the album more varied and interesting. Without those three songs, I reckon people would be complaining that Coldplay just made Parachutes 2.0. All in all, it shows progression in their sound. And am I the only one who hears a bit of 'Come Together' in the bassline?
  18. Haha, not bad. I liked the other one better though.
  19. I don't think having a mum as a librarian makes you geeky at all... Well I havn't skipped ahead any years, and I havn't REALLY built my own computer, but I am on a multimedia course, which involves a lot of techy, animation and sound design stuff, soooo... "Sorta", maybe?
  20. And whats with Keane, eh? :shifty: As for albums worth hearing, all I can say is The new Elbow and Raconteurs albums. But I'm sure those have been mentioned already.
  21. This is nearly impossible. Nevertheless, MUST. SAVE. STREET SPIRIT. So after careful consideration, I voted the Bends. But I love it, thats what's so hard, damn it.
  22. Lovely photos, Nina!
  23. Its in the first post, just above the Pringles FAQ :nice:
  24. Yay! And ignore the eye rolling, clearly they don't recognise how awesome pringles can be. Oh sorry! I didn't see that there. I use Adobe Audition CS3 to mix and produce my songs. Hope that helps :D
