:laugh3:Thanks for sharing the dream! Wish I had one recently I could remember..
  2. Well, I'm just glad you found the time to post, and hey, it's a busy time of the year - perfectly understandable!!:elf:
  3. Truthfully, everyone does - they just won't admit it!:laugh3:
  4. Well, you're most welcome for the welcome!;) Some time ago (perhaps several years by now) Coldplay performed (acoustic) in Christchurch, New Zealand - or am I remembering things wrong?? Anyhow, it was a great performance from what I saw of it.
  5. Bart, it's good to see you back!! Hola!:)
  6. Welcoming All New Zealanders! A Warm Welcome Once Again to all our Friends Down In New Zealand!! :jester::jester::jester: YAY!!;) (you should get Buddy signed up as a new member too!)

  8. Feeling guilty for not finishing my Christmas cards.. (I better do some!):) How are you faring in the sultry tropics of Chile, Lore??;)
  9. Hot Dog. (pickle onion or relish on the side..)
  10. Hey, hey, listen here miss Chile, who you callin' a kid??:P:laugh3: Behavior-wise or age-wise??;)
  11. Blond Beer?? Oh, do you mean Pilsner?:) We tried it with various ales and lagers.;) Unless you're insinuating something about us blonds..:laugh3: ..& more research on Sangria!
  12. "eel pie":laugh3: Sounds fishy to me! fajitas.:sombrero:
  13. @ ariadnasquire Steve's been on digs in Spain:cool: Paleobotany. The mixture is good if the fruit juice is compatible (& a matter of opinion as to what's compatible..:laugh3:). I think it's bizarre with cranberry juice, but might be alright with a little grape,, lime, or lemon.. You're suggesting I mix Lager with Sangria?:) Tibet - yea, everyone just lost sight of Tibet! So you're there in mind.. cool!
  14. Cool !! Got directions?:laugh3:
  15. Hmm.. I need to get to answering those letters and sending cards!!
  16. Well, you're right. The paparazzi have been around for eons, but I just feel sorry for her and her companion because it's quite clear how unfair it is. You can say it goes with the territory, but that still doesn't make it right. And to be on-guard all the time is a bit too much for anyone. To be photographed in public is one thing, but in private? I just think we need better privacy protections overall for everyone - because if it happens to stars, it could happen to anyone just as well!
  17. Hey Zoe, no brainwashing!:laugh3: A clean room is a good thing, and so is a clean sink. But a clean mind? If you scrub too much, you'll wear off all the smart bumps!:laugh3: Anyhow, hmm.. quite the world we live in - thank goodness for variety's sake!!
  18. Given the way things are these days, does anyone think that just maybe the paparazzi could hold off on photographing celebrities while driving? I mean, can't they just go places without being constantly photographed?? I dunno about you, but I'd get a little weird if that were happening to me, and I just think it's wrong.. It's a little bit too much snooping in, and that's gotta be hard to deal with.
  19. What do you, as a professional cocktail waitress, think about mixing fruit juices with beer?? Is this recommended to add a more "fruity bouquet" to the average lager??:)
  20. I've found Heaven, and I have directions too! Simply take the Eastern Trail to National Avenue, and it's right there at the T-intersection in Mukwonago!:laugh3: It's that simple! Serving fish on Fridays, and their celestially famous Potato louie Salad. Phone ahead (Heaven gets packed sometimes) - (262) - 363-5191. Heaven might be hard to locate, but once you get past the pearly gates, the food is dynamite!:P Now, does anybody know if there is a place called "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe"??;)
  21. And on a mildly related frequency of thought..:) During his younger years, Bono and his friends were part of a surrealist street gang which they called "Lypton Village". (makes me wonder - named after Lipton soup or tea?:laugh3: Hmm..) This friendly group began performing in public places (apparently city buses) for the purpose of provoking people (in what way?). Bono had several names: first, he was "Steinvic von Huyseyman", Huyseyman, then "Houseman", then "Bon Murray", then "Bono Vox of O'Connell Street," and finally just "Bono." Next time I see him, I'll have to holler out, "Hey Steinvic, great tunes on the harpsichord!":laugh3: Any clues as to the deep philosophical meaning of these names??:P
  22. Thanks for the beautiful photos!! :)
  23. And hey look! It's snowing in Australia!;) Between Melbourne and Perth, I'll bet at least 10 inches of the white stuff fell last night!!
  24. I ought to be sleeping, but insomnia has gotten me up! :laugh3: Yes, it's pretty close to what came from the Encyclopedia, and there's probably way more to the story than what is being discussed (like all things in history, the whole truth is buried by time and yarnspinners) But basically, I think that answers it in a general sense; but what "scruples" were aroused by the Louisiana purchase pertaining to the Constitution? What did the US Government do that violated the individuals' rights to enforce the trade ban? Perhaps quartering troops in houses? Perhaps illegal searches and seizures (searching for trade goods)? Seems likely the latter, as that's the main issue - and the main motivation for the restrictions on government search and seizure was to protect colonial rum smugglers, so it's not so altruistic in it's inception, but the basic right of privacy in one's own home needed something to back the protection - we can thank rum smugglers for that!:laugh3: Seems more likely to be the case..
