  1. Padon moi - were they ever gone??:fireman:
  2. Bye, Rudy! behave yourself!
  3. Alright then - I'll make some exceptions.:laugh3: But I've had a few "experiences" with the nasty intolerant types in my neck of the woods - and believe me, they are rough characters up here - a dark, brooding bunch, plus a history of cross burnings. It's what makes me say the things I do! But do you, as a Republican, accept gay people?? Let me tell ya, the Republicans here sure don't!:stunned: I'm glad to hear that you are a progressive in the party - bringing the party back to it's progressive roots (LaFollet's, Roosevelt's, Lincolns) - I've read Theodore Roosevelt's letters, and those are the kind of Republicans I like!
  4. Hahaha!!:laugh3: Yes, it does sound like one, Rick! It's actually Oatmeal stout beer - "Luxurious, creamy, brimming with oats and roasted malt, it's a dark decadent treat." Brewed and bottled by Goose Island Beer Co. , Chicago, Il. In honor of Barack Obama, a Harvard Graduate who actually studied and passed his tests, a toast!:toff::scholar:
  5. Actually, the Ribena sounds pretty good! Ribes - black currants then? Rich in Vitamin C, and very English! But I've got a case of Goose Island, and it's calling me.. "hhmmm....good!":wideeyed::cool3::pleased:
  6. *wanders in to the dew drop inn* Anyhow, how about a beer, bartender? Can I get a goose island??
  7. Very interesting! I had always pictured more beef cattle and sheep than dairy cows in Uruguay - very informative of you, and I am most appreciative of the illustrative views! >>>>>From one cheese-lander to another, a warm welcome!<<<<<
  8. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: Oh god, that's good! ROFL!
  9. Apparently a language barrier of epic proportions! :laugh3: At this stage, it might as well the funnybone!
  10. Aww - it says, "we're sorry, this video is no longer available!"...
  11. Umm.. Well, that was such a short moment in the program, I can only recommend going to PBS's website, and searching for the tape of it. It was but an instant - one camera glance. I can't recall where they were in the program.. Wish I could offer more help!;)
  12. Alright here's a little bit of it! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKsyRL-vd_o]www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKsyRL-vd_o[/ame] I think that should work.. But more from PBS in a minute.. Bittman is the food critic, and Claudia is - well, you know who she is!
  13. :laugh3: Good god, you must be kidding! Well, if people have no tails, then you might be chasing their _____.. And besides, we're all animals!:laugh3: Surely, you jest?!
  14. :dozey: use some imagination, hey! What, do I have to spell everything out?? C'mon you guys gave the world Shakespeare.. Anyhow, there was a saying here years ago along similar lines - "grab a heine" for grab a heineken... :laugh3:
  15. That's right! Since that's the label someone else pasted on us, it's just gotta be true!:laugh3:
  16. 5:32 PM and thinking about the meaning of throwing things at G. Bush. Pies, Shoes, Water, and what's next?? Be creative - once an idea's used, we must devise a new plan!:laugh3:
  17. Imaginative Bullshit at least!:P Or maybe you Brits haven't the balls to catch tails?:laugh3:
  18. If you catch some tails, it can't be all bad luck..:wink3::laugh3:... (that would be a Bad Penny, right??:P)
  19. So yea, I suppose Coldplay is for anyone with brains, compassion, love, and sensitivity in their nature.. That may include gays, straits, and humans of all backgrounds or cultures. (former extreme comments retracted)
  20. YEA for optimists!!;) I believe that we're always rolling the dice. But to learn is to make better choices, and get better odds next time round'; And to bounce back, regroup, and try again increases the odds of success - it usually leads to better outcomes. But to argue for hours on the matter - I'm quite impressed!:) It's more tiddly-pom than anything, and if you believe you can do it, in time, you will master it and succeed. That takes first the belief that you can; then the perseverance and effort; teamwork and networking; and many learning experiences, that we must bounce back from with a sense of knowledge gained, a better approach, and then go at it again.. Just me babbling, but one thought: If I try and better my scores, understanding, ability, etc., I find that I no longer feel the stress of competition, as all I am trying to do is improve in a non-competitive way, which takes the stress off and opens up the mind and spirit for greater capacities. It's a lot easier than frustrating oneself over open competition with others, and the adrenaline tunnel vision that accompanies that. "Chance favors the prepared mind" - Albert Einstein
  21. Lame Duck Soup!:P Anyhow, we must escalate the conflict. Next time, Cream Pies!:laugh3:
  22. Umm.. well I'd hate to think that people are starving somewhere on the planet for a reason. Or being beaten in a dungeon for a reason. Of course there are circumstances and conditions that lead to things happening the way they do - and maybe that's part of our purpose - to unravel the mystery, make sense of the puzzles, and help Fix what needs fixing as best as we can.. to create the conditions that can lead to improvement. So maybe you're right - in that we must "open our eyes" to see in the mind's eye what makes sense, and what to do to improve things.
  23. Hola Juan!:cowboy: Always good to hear from Uruguay! Pampas grasslands are there (Y/N)??
  24. Without probability there would be no quantum mechanics. Without luck, our universe as we know it could not exist!:P (and besides, I know someone with that as a last name, and I trust in Luck then!:P:lol:)
  25. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: Damn, he missed! And how can we heel Iraq, if our Pres. won't accept Heeling either!:P I wanna bring some shoes and do that! Damn - now they'll be looking for others to try it.. (I like how Bush was expecting it - he knows he's hated, so it's like he's prepared to duck!) Not that anyone here ever tried anything like that..(like a certain someone who threw a water bottle under Dick Cheney's motorcade somewhere else..)
