  1. Micaela is creative! And Marie i think is a sweet name! Steven is mine.
  2. If you need new sounds, why not try creating some of your own?:)
  3. You know that darkness always turns into light..
  4. Hey, I think sheet music can be grand, but it's really not exactly like the actual songs. If you listen close to the music, there's a lot of subtle nuances worth trying to decipher and put to instruments.. :) Plus, they always lump the vocal part in with the keyboard part - try and separate them - then look for the variations.. well worth the while!
  5. :P
  6. The Doors - used to listen to them all the time!
  7. Cold hearted fog, that rules the night. Removes the colors from our sight. Red is grey and yellow, white. But we decide which is right... and which is an illusion. Pinprick holes in a colorless sky, let insipid figures of light pass us by. The mighty light of 10,000 suns, challenges infinity, but is soon gone. Nighttime to some, a brief interlude. To others, the fear of solitude. Brave Phelius, wake up your speeds. Bring the warmth the countryside needs
  8. Damn, I'm gonna have to go see Chris and cheer him up, and bring him some new song ideas! I think the song sets kinda go through highs and low, like life does as well...
  9. What we think a song is about changes when we see a video made with it, and then when someone else comments on what they think it's about. Yet, isn't the original perception the most meaningful? I close my eyes, listen close, and it's meaning seems as vast as the ocean of stars in the sky on a clear night..
  10. I think what we perceive to be the best changes over time.. The "freshness" of the moment being lost on some, so to speak. Try listening to one you haven't played for a long, long time - suddenly, you have the joy of discovery all over again! Sparks is pretty neat in that sense, and so is Warning Sign.. If you go without for a while, the joy of discovery returns anew..
  11. Yes, I can relate to that. It's like they're not aware that music is about emotion and expression, and they only see the mechanics of it. The mechanics are important, but it's also about a state of mind - expressing feelings is apart from the mechanical thinking side, and your current director is not seeing the whole picture (what a shame!). Stand up for yourself - I agree - make it real!
  12. Hello Moises! Yes, there seems to be a common thread running through the fabric of space-time with The Beatles, U2, and Coldplay. I feel the same!!:)
  13. Life is situational!
  14. Chocolate Concrete: Mix melted dark chocolate (fair trade:)) with a little veg. oil and powdered sugar, until it's like soft putty). Then mix in a little ice cream. Crank up your fav. tune (I recommend Fleetwood Mac's Don't Stop), and devour! (caution - not for those with chocolate addictions!:):laugh3:) Enjoy in moderation, or dance it off!)
  15. ?Como Estas? No Habla Espanol! Say, do you speak English as a second language?
  16. Humans are animals, so animals can make art!:P We make nests, too - some use mud, others use sticks of wood, or bamboo.. Plus, a couple of the other primates can make tools, and tool making is an art..:smug: So there!:laugh3: Joslin always said that art is anything that catches your attention. And a guy that plays with clay has got to be earthy enough to really get down to the nitty-gritty of things!! I think, given the context, art is recorded forms of attention-getting things, and is highly subjective. My neighbor's dog pays attention to tennis balls, so tennis balls are art to a dog. To us, snow balls might be art, especially if the aim is good!:laugh3: (ducks and covers..) Art - it's for the chordates.
  17. Thanks Tracie Morgan-Fleetwood-Mac! "don't you look back, don't you look back..";) Thought of the momentum: Did Lacey leave the Ipod in a coat pocket, shirt pocket, closed book, or beneath a pair of oven mits? I know how frustrating that can be - it's gonna turn up somewhere!!:) -Chuck.
  18. The Ipod is somewhere! You will find it when you least expect to..:) ...I own a huge collection of arcane and obsolete computer books! (& I'm a packrat)
  19. Don't stop thinking about tomorrow.. It'll soon be here, It'll be here, better than before.., yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.. Ooooh, don't you feel fine...
  20. Bummer! My day's OK so far, but the day's young yet! If you're like me, it's probably sitting upon some shelf somewhere, cause' you went to run an errand.. Can you send a message to it and get it to beep its location??:)
  21. If I could store time in a bottle, I'd send every minute to you..
