  1. Geez, when do you people sleep?:laugh3: It's a big planet - somewhere, someone is logging on... and drinking morning coffee!
  2. UP:) Red or Blue
  3. How many tornadoes just touched down today?
  4. I thought about this - maybe recording in a large steel culvert would give the same echo-effect - seems to sound like that naturally, so hey, give it a TRY! (on a dry day, of course!):)

GLEETINGS !!!:) Nab some fun now and then!! glad you could join us!!:):):)
  6. Bad ideas and bad men, but how far are they willing to go is the question. I feel they are opportunists, and used 9/11 to the hilt. Without a disasterous event like it, they may not be able to do the damage they've done. It's a murky thing, the hijackers and their connections, and their having gotten so far unstopped..
  7. I did get a chance to speak to my representative in Washington a few days ago. He was of the impression that the president is not wrapped too tightly, and added that the president would not budge on the war issues one bit. I'm beginning to wonder if Bush is slipping into Nixon's paranoid mode, the results of which would not be good.. The high-ranking ex-CIA officer I had a chance to speak with some time ago was of the opinion that this administration were "The Crazies" when he had been in the CIA during the Ford and Regan administrations. He went on to say that at that time, nobody trusted them to a position where they could make any real decisions, "And now they're in power!!" - those were his words, not mine. If they are capable of manufacturing evidence for a war with Iraq, what else?? Well, I hope nothing happens, though they are capable of anything. Let's all hope they don't try anything that awful!!
  8. How far off the deep end are we? Gazebofloss, From what I have seen, some Republicans are quite rational, and some are not wrapped too tightly. I'm not surprised that the Chief (strategist?) of the Republican Party of Arkansas would say such a thing, as this seems in the line of their party's extremists (though, thay rarely blurt it out so bluntly). Since Nixon was not above creating a "crisis" for re-election purposes, I would not put it past the current administration to do the same. Yes, I am concerned! While I find it unlikely that they would orchestrate a 9-11 style attack event, they might attempt and attack on Iran, or a major assault on a group within Iraq, timed to coincide with the 08' election. (taken from the pages of the Nixon administration's playbook..) Given the monkey business theat went on between Bush and Enron, and with the Haliburton scandals, "looted" might be a word for some of it. Add to that "gross incompetence"! We have a huge national debt., & the war bill will be around 1 Trillion Dollars when it's all said and done - yes, there's a problem!!
  9. :)Just regular shorts, but I wish I could get some Organic Fair-Trade shorts - why is it that women get all the choices in organic clothing, and we're left with maybe a fig-leaf, if we're lucky?
  10. I thought evolution was supposed to fix the sunburn issue - why do we even get sunburned?? A mystery.. Name of Ze' Thread is "Tell me something about you that I don't know" ..hmmm... so that's wide open! How about this: I love to garden. Anyone else?
  11. Does she have freezer burn, or just a little frosty personality??:laugh3:!
  12. Hey, how about some context there? I am thinking about how beautiful the earth is after a sweet rain shower..
  13. Frozen Girl? And just what is that all about??
  14. Back to the beginning of this thread - lately I've been hearing of a ramping up to the possibility of the US bombing Iran. A friend suggested this might be about to start, owing to a pattern of behavior seen before previous attacks - rumors of plans, placement of the fleet, and denial by the US administration. Apparently a well-respected veteran reporter at the NY Times wrote something about serious plans being laid out, and another source mentioned it as well.. Any comments?
  15. :oMichigan State Lost?? Is this even possible??:) Anywho, I was thinking how ironic that history repeats itself... Anyone here remember US involvement in VietNam?
  16. I'm still stuck on Fleetwood Mac's Don't Stop!!:hat:
  17. shopping in France oops - double post!
  18. shopping in France Just drive to France and shop there!!:) England will have the most fit citizens because they can't afford fattening foods?? Does this mean I should buy stock in Tesco??:laugh3: Well, lets see.. anti-trust laws need some dusting off? Political payola getting in the way of fair market systems? Hmm... sounds familiar.. One way to offset the damages would be to grow a big garden, if possible. Also, how strong is the coop movement in the UK? Open-air markets still offering Oranges and Bananas??;) Show us how to fix this problem - the US has it's own monsters to deal with, and we could use an example of reigning-in the corporate mega-corps.;)
  19. Green eyes gets a 9 from this side of the pond. how about Speed of Sound??:)
  20. Can the world get any more complicated? Servers, cables, fiber optics, power plants, antennas, Amplifiers, repeater stations, nodes, AAaaiii!!! If it all failed, if it all came crashing down, could we cope? Can we keep all the plates spinning, and not drop one??
  21. I think I found a way to make a flying saucer actually fly, and lift a cabin/compatment with people on board. One problem: it would probably be noisy. :) I dream a lot.

They were here just a day ago - our local Jehoovas' Witnesses! Wilson's gang.. Hmm.. Maybe the end is near??:) I'll never convert, unless they lobotomize me! We already have a president who thinks God talks to him... and look at the results! YYIKES! Overly simplistic. Could we trade him to Canada for some Maple Syrup maybe? True, the syrup is more intelligent, and it makes better decisions..., but can it create as much chaos in the Middle East? Maybe the French want him.. he could be useful - God only knows how, tho! There's a lesson in the Wizzard of Oz about all this... Anywhohow, I vote for xing.
