What "Bucket For A Crown" means?
I like to think it's all about Mrs. Bucket becoming Queen. :laugh3: (or, Mrs. Bouquet?) Could it be?? Might need to look again..

Latest Recipie / What's Cooking!
Homemade Whole Wheat Bread... 2 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast 3 C. Whole Wheat Flour 1 tsp. salt 1 Tblsp. Butter (or olive oil works well.. fair trade is best!:)) 3 Tblsp. Granular Sugar - fair trade if possible. 1 Tblsp Water or Milk 1 1/4 C. Warm Water + give it a little longer to rise - whole grainy stuff needs a little more time.. (I use a bread machine, but ovens work just as well - even better, if you like a more tender, but less even bread!)

Latest Recipie / What's Cooking!
I thought to myself, "I just made a loaf of homemade whole wheat bread...&... What is everyone else baking or cooking or eating?" That could be an amusing topic! MMmmm...:)

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Paul Wolfowitz may/will be leaving the World Bank - that might help improve the trade disparities for developing nations, I would think! Make Trade Fair = Make Politics Fair. I'm more CooCoo for the Chocolate, tho need a T too... wonder if Paul even cares with his little black heart.. ?;)

Game: Who was the Number 1 Single when you were born
Just do a search on it!:) For me, it would be The Four Tops - "Reach out and I'll be there". 3 weeks strait! Mowtown's influence travelled far and wide..

What is your favourite Coldplay song today?
In My Place - it seems to mean more when you compose music that others incorporate into their own. "Come back and sing to me.." But I can't sing!! What does he expect of me - Enrico Caruso?:) I like the mix of rock and folk - makes for a nice variety on their albums!

Tell me something about you that I don't know
Yea Juli!:) I'm barefoot right now.

What "Bucket For A Crown" means?
artistic metaphor Any good artist layers meanings - and perhaps does so intuitively. Bucket for a crown probably has several meanings, or maybe one original meaning, but is written metaphorically so that several meanings are possible. Poetry just is that way! I like the notion that it refers to the traveller who ventures to the land where gold is common, and the bucket is rare, then returns... used to be that way with pepper - worth more than gold; but now look at it - comes out of every shaker at any restaurant! value is arbitrary, and object-worship somewhat silly!:)

Answer the question above you
Got a sore back today splitting firewood! UGH! Good until then! Which R&B artist preceeded the Beatles' Twist and Shout?

do u remember the first time you saw/heard coldplay?
I was rolling along on my way to town, early summer 2001 or 2002, and there on the radio was a song I thought could not possibly be playing on the radio! (I had no idea they would take it anywhere, or that it would gain so much popularity!) Thanks to Coldplay for re-working it, and making Clocks a hit!!

Come out of things unsaid,
In the sense of our selves, but yet the greater spirit flux goes on.. We are all spectral lines on the color contiuum. Collectively we achieve a sort of immortality. As a collection of cells, some living, some newly created, and other sluffing off, we are in perpetual motion as well.. & radiohead will go on in new forms as well..:)

Artist vs. Artist Game...
Can a band battle itself? Sounds Manic to me!!:) REM or Coldplay?

Come out of things unsaid,
Me too Kathy! I think we all do our part, be it ever so humble.. I thought when I was younger, that we would all make the transition, but the resistance/inertia to change is so great, and the commercial-role playing so strong, that it's hard to get real progress, except for ourselves. That may be changing, tho. Political winds of change are blowing stong now, so perhaps we could see some real progress on a grand scale?? Still living through the nightmare that is the Bush admin., but only 1.7 years to go..

Important Details about Indie Rock
But that could have been any paranoid Android! Most of those models were rather unhappy, unlike what the ad showed. (someone playing beachball with a happy robot) and once you had one delivered, you couldn't return it - hence they had to keep Marvin! True, Radiohead was there when Adams' Guide was first popular, but Martin's into Douglas Adams' work too, I think perhaps? Maybe I should ask him - anyone got his number?? Do you just dial zero, and then the country code?:)

The Buckland Religion~Official Thread
What if we never shaved? What then?? U should try this some time - it itches like crazy - I kid U not Judy!:laugh3: (well, when it gets 6" long, it's tame, but then all the ketchup and mustard catches on it, and it's sorta messy..) Maybe they were marooned too long on that island?:)

Important Details about Indie Rock
Greek Humor you say.. Hmm.. :sultan::) Yes, but very entertaining! J.R.R. Tolkien's Hobbit, I do recall reading, but that was many moons ago. Still a beautiful poem, even if it holds a dark undercurrent. I could be mistaken - but I thought I had read somewhere in the Intergalactic Encyclopedia, tho dated as it is and forever will be, and possibly on the internet as well, that Chris was into Douglas Adams' works. Radiohead too? Maybe in a parallel universe?

Spiderman 3 !!!
God, I can hardly believe anyone, (let alone my own feeble mind), could recall that tidbit - that goes waay back to when we were maybe 8 years old.. But it was the highlight of the show for me too! Just could never quite guess his expression.. And always wondered who played the original spiderman?

What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?
In my place, in my place, are lines I couldn't change,... oh yea.. I hear the chimes of Big Ben, on an ancient German Grandfather clock. And the ticking of an inexpensive, modern Chinese clock, sounding like a slow drum cadence. clue me in here - Editors - smokers outside the hospital doors is (a.) a new group, (b.) a not-so new group, or (c.) real Editors or real smokers jabbering outside a hospital door.? Blind ignorance of current events is my mainstay, so forgive me.
