Hey, after I just posted I started listening to 101.9 online, and I just heard something about them giving away Coldplay tix for the IZOD show on the 27th!!! So maybe people don't have to subject themselves to PLJ as their only hope of seeing the band:)

I'll continue the off-topic topic:lol:. Yes PLJ sucks, even if they're the only station to occasionally do contests for Coldplay tix. Last time, for the MSG show, I did the whole texting thing, and I STILL get annoying texts once in a while about "text this weekend to win New kIds on the Block tix" :veryangry2: And, I discovered 101.9 a couple of months ago, and though I don't listen to that much radio (mostly in the car) it's pretty good alternative rock kind station, and they actually play Coldplay other than VLV!!!! I heard Lost! like a month ago there! And on thread topic....when I signed up for the Yahoo Nissan thing a few weeks ago, I only put my city and state, not address...so I hope that's what they meant!:uhoh:

So, a couple of days I go I posted here about finding this shirt at Target: which I planned on wearing to the show I've got coming up in (less than!) 3weeks. I looked on the Target website and found another Coldplay-related shirt with "42" on it, and was ready to get it, except that the only size left was xsmall, which is not my size. But, whatever, one show I only need one tshirt. But, now it turns out that I will be going to 2 shows (yeay:D) so I need another shirt. And I can't even wear this one and then wash and wear again, 'cause 1)that's not as cool hehe, 2)it's the very next day and I just wont have time. Soo, for the hell of it I googled "42 tshirt" and found THIS. I knew that "42" referred to A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but I've never read it or really know much about it, so I didn't realize that duh, through that would be the easiest way to find a "42" shirt. Again, it's not really a Coldplay shirt, but since I'll wear it to a concert, I will hope people will get it's about a song, and not think I'm some kinda Hitchhiker's Guide geek. (They'll just think I'm a Coldplay geek, so a geek nonetheless.:blush:) (There's also a "Don't Panic" shirt, which again is a reference to the book. I had no idea about that! Very informative shopping research! I might have to go and read this book now) Anyway thought I'd share...sorry for going on&on...

Why do I keep reading EVERY.SINGLE.POST!? It's taken me almost an hour to catch up!:confused::lol: Can I butt in here, and say that I think we should keep this project a coldplaying.com thing ONLY. I'm sorry to sound so click-y, but I'd really love it if the guys were aware of our little "family" here, and the main idea did originate with a coldplayer, after all. Also, about the debate of a one time big delivery vs. individual arrivals of postcards...I think the first way would be really dramatic & great, but if it becomes too difficult, having all postcards with the same logo/butterfly theme/coldplaying.com&Postcards From Far Away mention will still come across as a unified project. Of course you personalize it whichever way you want, but having something stardard to work from will stand out even if arriving separately. I think that even the "worst" of ideas are still great and I think with the number of people participating, it will stand out from the regular fanmail I'm sure they receive normally. (Ok, I will shut up and go back to lurking now)

Tell me when, where--I'm in! This is a wonderful idea, and if we can get it done around Christmas/end of year, it'd be perfect! I read through the whole thread...and here's my (unasked for)advice, based on what has come up so far: --2 postcards max/person (1 from your city/country, and 1 homemade, if you'd like); I'm not that creative for ex, so I'd just find some Greetings from NJ, but maybe someone who lives in a little town that doesn't have official postcards would find it easier to make up one themselves) --it'd be great if they could be mass-mailed to The Bakery, rather than the address at EMI, but umm I don't actually have a suggestion for this, unless we find out Bakery address. Or, hey, we could mail to the cafe next door hehe...or maybe someone who's visiting The Bakery can get look around for address. But all of us from all over sending it to one Londoner, and they taking bags of mail over to Bakery is a lot to ask for! Imagine if you'd get 100s postcards every day for 2months! (Unless you're sleeping with the mailman ;)haha) OR someone volunteers themselves; --having some kind of logo(butterflies:flutterby::flutterby::flutterby:??) or/and making sure everyone puts Postcards from Far Away Project/coldplaying.com is a MUST --everyone signing NAME, from COUNTRY (so the whole "from far away" thing comes across) --maybe not the whole message needs to be in your own language, just maybe one same phrase that everyone agrees on; 'cause though Chris can manage to memorize how to say "Thanks for coming to the show" in any language, I doubt the guys are fluent in every language they could receive postcards from LOL Ok, there's my 2cents :blush:

hehehe i'm 13! (not really) hehehe OMG I luuuuvvvv this pic! I discovered in on coldplay.com a few weeks ago (I'm sorry so selfish to keep it to myself, figured others had seen it already!) Orlando Bloom is my "movie star crush" (and NO i'm not 13, i just act like it when it comes to cute British boys!:P) and of course Coldplay boys are tru wuv, so I almost exploded when I found it:bomb::bomb::bomb:. It's the perfect pic IMO. All my fave boys in one spot, captured in pic for my viewing pleasure... I couldn't figure out how to save it, frantically ran to Mel PLEASE PLEASE help me LOL.
