i did as well, the australian tv news networks were flooded with steve irwin tributes, most at the same time i couldn't keep up. you can be sure i'll be watching that too... i feel the same way. i couldn't believe the news. i came home and my dad says 'the croc hunter is dead' and i was all :thinking: 'dad! steve irwin?' and he repeated 'yes, steve irwin died this morning' and i was like :thinking: 'the crocodile hunter? australia zoo? steve irwin?' and he was like 'yes!' it still hasn't really sunk in. he was truly a great man. i can't emphasis that further. i went to the australia zoo last year and met terri and took a few pics with her. steve was there too and we saw him in a croc pen showing a few special visitors their eating habits. it was exactly like tv and one of the most fascinating things i've seen. he certainly knew how to entertain the fans while teaching us the importance of wildlife conservation. the good die young and steve was no exception :cry: personally, i feel a huge loss. australia and the world has lost something great. he will be deeply missed. goodness, what an emotional day it's been...

TEN is going to show a tribute to him tonight, but I agree with that as well. He definitely deserves it after what he has accomplished. I feel sorry for his wife and 2 children. Terri wasn't even with him when he died, and he died doing something for his daughter. a great australian and a passionate human being.

i know! i just found out and i thought i was a sick joke. it's so sad. even thought i didn't know-know him, i kinda feel like i did. no more corocodile hunter.....:cry:

Australia's Crocodile Hunter dies This morning Steve Irwin, internationally known as the Crocodile Hunter died. Personally, I live only a few km away from the Australian Zoo and the news of his sudden and tragic death is deeply felt. His death was a result of a diving expedition which went horribly wrong when a stringray stung Steve in the chest. The news is shocking and I absolutely couldn't believe it at first. Althought I never personally knew him, I think the world of wildlife conservation and the world in general, has lost someone very passionate. Anyone who has seen his show or watched him in interviews would agree he was one of a kind and was always willing to be entertaining and make fun of himself or anything really, just to get the message of conservation across. way back in the 90s i remember hearing wonderwall and since then, oasis have been so quiet. if they've been making hit records, they must've been released in a confined part of the world because until a few months ago, i thought the band no longer existed. i know there are many oasis fans, but i am not. i do like a few of their songs but if you start comparing oasis to keane, in my opinion keane are far better than any oasis material i've ever heard. i doubt very much whether a clash of the bands will occur with insults flying back and forth, with fans taking offence to any negative remark made by a fan of the opposing band. it's all in good fun, and a little competition is healthy.

^^ yeah they consistently played talk between and after the commercials. it was pretty weird but great :nice: has anyone else noticed that when chris or gwyneth talk about each other, they never say the other's name. it's either "well apple's daddy" or "her mother". chris never says gwyen and vice versa.

i caught the show last night on mtv. this year's VMAs were so boring and not exciting at all. the only highlights were performances by justin timberlake, shakira and beyonce. the past few years, the VMAs have really lost their touch. despite the appearances of many artists, it was an overall let down. i really thought having jack black as the host would've done something, but it just didn't happen. i thought the VMAs were meant to be outrageous, spontaneous and hilarious. 2006 the VMAs didn't deliver, and have't for a while now. shesh, they use to be soo much fun to watch, now it's like, meh :blank:

lately heaps of coldplay tracks have been playing around me. for instance, yesterday while i was driving, i hears clocks and talk, and then at the shops, it was the hardest part and then when i got home, the news had talk as their theme music. and that was only yesterday :rolleyes:
