an encore is when the show is finished and the band are about to leave the stage, or in some cases leave the stage, but the crowd keep cheering and clapping on and yelling for more that the band return to play more aka, an encore. some people actually yell "encore! encore!" which is basically saying they want more show. sort of like an addition to the concert.

watching letterman right now and there is an australian guest - whoa, the aussie accent is so strong and sounds really odd!

try being told you read the grapes of wrath by john steinbeck, the size of that book alone is intimidating but our teacher was great, the whole 5-600 pages flew by like 300 lol i'm not reading anything right now. a friend of mine gave me beyond band of brothers a month ago and i have yet to open it - i will but with studies starting next week it may take a while.

i don't think cp's lyrics are as direct as you're making it out to be. imo they can get quite abstract and need a few plays to fully understand. radiohead, well i'm not a hardcore fan as some here, but from what i've heard so far, they can be quite the same as coldplay: understandable or confusing. imo they can't be compared although it seems impossible not to :tongue: as for the concert, that's a shame, i've seen them live and it was amazing, i hoped the same for everyone else. maybe next time but atleast you saw them live, not everyone gets a chance too :)

funny enough i think profanity should only be used in an aggressive manner rather than in casual talk. swearing is a much better outlet and quite frequently is an alternative to physical violence imo. anyway hearing people speak with every 2nd word being f--- etc is beyond irritating, it's just not as cool as it those people think it is. but i do agree that it's lazy and shows poor use of verbal expression.

i don't really take much notice to be honest :s but when i do i tend to think they are registered users who haven't logged on and just browsing, but of course some are potential coldplayers :nice:

like i said norton does take up a lot of room which is the primary reason of say a pentium 4 running ridiculously s l o w, besides that it does what it's meant to do and protects my pc from everything. i've used norton for as long as i can remember and never had a problem with it. versions before '94 were ideal but since then they keep getting bigger and slowing everything down. we have approx 19 club threads, what the hell. they were amusing at first but it's become ridiculous and obviously annoying. majority is spam, meaningless and yeah i suppose it's allowed, since it's in the lounge section, and so is my complaining about it :dozey: :thumbsdown:

i tell jokes because i find them funny and laugh about it, i hardly ever notice or care whether anyone else got it or not. sometimes i start a joke and in my mind i'm already at the punchline and start laughing before i've even told the entire joke, this way i'm laughing, my friends are thinking "wft?" then exchange glances then start laughing at me, ... after say 5 mins, i may actually remember the joke to tell it properly but by that time, the situation ^ ended up funnier than the joke thus becoming a joke itself. jokes don't have to make sense, or be told properly to be funny, it just is :tongue:
