true, we need a plan. you'd think that with the numerous annual bushfires we've experienced over the many decades, we'd have a stable plan of attack reliable enough to stop this from happening time and time again.

it's true. unless they do a special christmas presentation of concerts :dreaming: i remember channel 10 doing a barbara streisand special on new years eve a few years ago and it had nothing to do with xmas or new years lol yes a terrible comparison but an example nonetheless!

like so many things, this is just ridiculous. bushfires in the australian outback have always been an issue for everyone, not just those living in the immediate region. there was a huge fire just 15km from where i live just 2 weeks ago, and there was a state of emergency called. 15 of them in the above area alone is just tragic and immensely damaging to the environment. bloody useless bushfires :thinking:

everyone is talking about vaka instrumental so can someone please re-upload? this is the first time posting in this thread because i really didn't know what the hell sigur ros was, what their sound was like and knowing they were from iceland, assumed i wouldn't get their music at all. so long story short, last night i felt inspired and finally heard hoppipola and was blown away, absolutely brilliant. today i bought the takk album and haven't stopped playing it. *breathe* lol and this was meant to be the short story. anyway i'm thankful i'm no longer completely oblivious about this band :nice:

there was a time i enjoyed the grammys, there was also a time i liked mtv, but they just don't mean anything anymore, imo of course. either way, great news for cp. i'd love them to win but it's more likely to go to rhcp.

i considered seeing the movie but no film i've ever watched ever lives up to the book it's based on, it's always a disappointment. but to be fair i don't think anything movie makers can come up with can overwrite what the mind has already formed.

forgive me annie, but :lol: i found that hilarious, especially the "im being sucked in by todays society and pressures" on a serious note, you'll get to go eventually, in time. you could play their songs in the car or something without telling her the band, then after, when it seems she has gotten use to it, tell her she has just become a fan of evil death music and now must let you go :smug:

i intended to buy a lot of stuff today, but i ended up buying a cd and book only, so now $100 AUD, but i hardly ever have more than $20 at one time lol

i haven't done any xmas shopping yet. however, i have a staff xmas party on sunday and we're doing the whole "secret santa" thing :dozey: lol anyway, i have to get something for this guy, around 20 years of age like me, and i have no idea what to get him. i don't wanna go all out, and at the same time i don't wanna get something random. gosh, what an awkward situation, getting a gift for a guy i don't even know. maybe a cd but i have no clue to his music interests and i can't sus it out before the party. any ideas? lol sorry if this is quite off track.
