There are only a few words I could read, others are too small or unreadable.. some of LRLRL lyrics: "just exxx'...'don't make'...'baby'..ashes to ashes, dust to dust" ...'still believe'..right left right'..'morning'..'taken from'..'swinging in six'..'don't know'...'cars'. FOP: 'never felt as hxxx'(high?)..'dr.Gachet/Adeline'..'Lazarus'..'the blindxxxx'..'couldn't last'... haha what I'm doing, I'm deciphering.. :D

this had to be a f****** awesome song; I've had a look at one of the paintings with lyrics and it has a written line 'Gachet/Adeline', which is a reference to Vincent Van Gogh and to two of his paintings - Portrait of Dr Gachet and Portrait of Adeline Ravoux!!! :stunned:

I'm just so sorry that everything we get, it's not enough..it's only a few words...if we actually got Famous Old Painters lyrics, we would, I'm sure, at one point see it being released. Phil would convince them to get it out! :D

Hello there - as an avid Coldplay fan I had checked Tappin Gofton's website some time ago. For anyone who doesn't know who they are - they are the official Coldplay's art designers, they help the band with their artwork, and it's a collaborative effort. This time their website works, and under the 'work' section, you can now see Coldplay and Viva La Vida sketchbook. I know that isn't too exciting. But the part I loved most was that some of the pictures had lyrics printed on the paper, which was then made into a painting of some sorts. You can see a few of the lyrics for LRLRL and Famous Old Painters if you've got very sharp eyes cause' it's sadly a jpeg and not really big! There's also some Lhuna, Lukas (I guessed it by the lyric 'another million') on a few pictures. Also some pictures look practically the same, by that I mean the same setlist. I think this news is good, even though Oracle has said in one of her answers that there is no deadline for LP5 yet. And that was like a month ago, so I don't think they suddenly decided to choose when to release it. It is great news to know that they are working on new stuff again, but I think a lot of it depends on how the creative process will go - if it's going to be anything like December 2007, when they finished Lovers In Japan and Strawberry Swing in a matter of days, we could really be in for a new album in late 2010. I think the fans deserve to hear them more often though, even if they don't do a lot of touring - an album in every three years isn't a lot. Ok, judging by other artists, it's not unusual, but look at Jay-Z - he gets an album out almost every year. Granted, Viva La Vida era was extremely productive, but I just wish they'd come out and say 'we'll try to finish it in 2010'. That would be so great. But hell, we'll let them do what they do, and then we will enjoy it to the fullest again! :)

Just to make record straight, I read in an interview that Natalie was honoured to have Eno enlisted as one of the producers on her album, but by her account, Eno never did anything with her - she was alone with Chris in the studio when they did 'Lukas'. Of course I'm hoping that also means Coldplay did the music.

the piano part of 'Fun' sounds A LOT like the early VLV demo, 'St.Stephen'! :o

There's tons of working titles for songs in a scene. Famous Old Painters is there again! Plus a song titled 'Love in a Lethal Dose' gets a mention in that scene and in the scene where it's just Will, Guy and Jonny in the studio.

Honestly I think Will is very self-critical and being called the most sensible one in Coldplay I don't think he will embrace the idea. It would be great if he had a b-side definitely, like The Goldrush or something. A thought just occured to me - what if Will gave a seal of disapproval to Famous Old Painters because he sang on it?? :D :D

Viva La Vida, Violet Hill and Talk I listened to when my dad was gravely ill...but I'm so happy that he is fine now! 42 reminds me of my grandfather everytime I listen to the first line I remember that he's passed away and that we have to move on..:stunned:

yeah, 3,000 croats and probably another 1,000 of slovenes..they all arrive by buses and trains (mostly) that's why they've come a bit late there. I'm sure we can get a great place if we come there by 4pm, and if there's no other way, we'll force our way through :D

When's the time to be there to get a decent view? The gates open at 4pm and I reckon we won't be there before 3pm, and I want a good look at Coldplay!

I think Natalie's great. I'm kind of listening to some of her old songs and I've got to say the songs are really nice. I don't think we'll be able to give proper judgement until the studio quality mp3 comes out, but I reckon I'll be buying the disc anyway ;)

I for once would like the band put out more updates in general, and if I need be specific, more about the new album. A setlist change wouldn't hurt either but we're having that on European tour I think Guy mentioned the setlist is going to be a bit longer which is amazing!

so we don't have any news whether any more dates will be canceled or not...hope not!
