I can't wait to hear Lukas. But I would still love to hear about Famous Old Painters. Obviously they were pretty close with finishing that song, but Will didn't approve it probably. Shame. Any chances we ask Debs Wild or anyone about it? Or perhaps a chain letter to Oracle?

Well, let's not get carried away, Lukas is the only song that's been 'officially' written by Coldplay and they have tried their version of the song (which is documented in an interview with a supporting act I think earlier in the year). Two more songs are great but I wonder whether those two have been recorded by Coldplay.

It doesn't sound like Chris to be honest, or at least I think so. If it is true, then Oracle has no idea about many things, including this: he/she said no other version than the one on the album existed!

A reviewer would first mention the incomprehensible lyrics! :D But still nice ideas for songs which didn't evolve - apart from Lovers that is.

I think the thing about selling is a bit premature, and a bit of a joke. I just don't understand why would anyone want to give us a fake setlist, eh? ;)

Rob's a great one, we have to respect him and his decisions. It's fantastic he let us have 3 demos already!

Bloodless revolution is a great song - even for a demo - but perhaps it didn't 'fit in' or didn't get Will Champion's seal of approval, same with LRLRL and Famous Old Painters...we have to know that we only get official releases and some extra songs because Coldplay as band feel these are the best. Thanks to Rob again for making our summer days even better!;) And if you ever decide on uploading more, we will be most grateful. ;)

For now they won't be putting out anything more. Though it would make for a superb 'making of Viva La Vida' album if they put everything out..but I applaud them for doing what they did. Bloodless Revolution is certainly a great song, I'm a bit sorry that the only shame is that we won't be hearing Famous Old Painters which is certainly a hit if they decided not to include it in... to end with, it's fantastic that we've gotten new old songs a year after VLV was released, makes every year a Coldplay year with new releases here, there and everywhere! ;) :D

Hah no 'known' songs then..is Rob intending of letting out more? It would mean a lot if he did and thanks anyway!

To Rob - thank you so much for letting us have that. It was totally unexpected, and you're a great man. I really hope you will decide to put out more. I'm pretty sure that even though these songs are in rough form, Coldplay won't use them anymore. What I am speculating is that Rob might have LeftRightLeftRightLeft, 'cause it was on the original Prospekt's list way back in september 07', was it? So it was one of the early songs so it could be there. But surely one out of Rob's 11 songs HAS GOT TO BE Bucket for a Crown, if this was recorded in dec.2006, it was only a month after that charity gig where Chris debuted the song, so I'm positive Rob has that. I wouldn't bank on him having Famous Old Painters (introduced by Prospekt in late 2007), but then I wouldn't bank on anything, we just got an early form of Lovers In Japan (which was introduced by Prospekt as a new song only as late as in January 2008!). VERY GRATEFUL AND HONOURED at hearing these songs.

I'm hoping - and this is our last shot really - that they release it in september as a single as well, with bonus songs in the form of Famous Old Painters and Lukas! :D

If SS goes as a single, perhaps we'll get two additional songs, just like LIT II single, perhaps another Goldrush in the form of Famous Old Painters/Lukas?:wink3:

definitely Slovenia wouldn't mind them singing in Rome, but from the last interviews I've heard that they could go somewhere like Jerusalem or Betlehem, I'm not sure, Chris told that they were looking to write songs and ultimately record somewhere new..
