UIF WORLD DEBUT - watch the video
It actually sounds like a mix between Fix You and A Message. :)

UIF WORLD DEBUT - watch the video
Amazing. Beautiful. Definitely sounds and feels like a song about "something being over". Sounds very sad, but almost in a good way. I can definitely see why Will loves this. Great riff by Jonny boy at the end!

Why are some people trying so hard to like Paradise?
This forum has really gone to hell. Just yesterday I was saying to myself how great this forum was and there's a lot of people on here that I like but wow. I mean I don't even post much but lately it's been discouraging me even more not to, and the only reason I've posted today a lot is because I've had a lot to say.

Absolutely the best Coldplay tribute artwork I have ever made ever.jpg
Isn't it both? "All the boys, all the girls, all that matters in the world...All the boys, all the girls, all the madness that occurs".

MX Compliments Thread (Share the MX love)
Hurts Like Heaven: Outstanding Paradise: Very good Charlie Brown: Outstanding Us Against the World: Great Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall: Very good Major Minus: Outstanding Princess of China: Very good Moving to Mars: Outstanding I don't get the MM studio version hate. Ok, I do get it but I think people overreact a little bit. I think it brings a great energy to the song, yet at the same time has a ominous and unnerving feeling.

I love it. It's really cool, you're very talented. :) I would never have the talent and/or patience to do that. Love the colors.

Would you tell the band you don't like Paradise?
^Awkward. Haha.

Have they lost their minds?
It's simple, people who don't like the new material can decide not to buy the album or not. And they don't have to even listen to the songs ever either. The people who like the album should accept that. Same with the people who like it, if they like it, that's fine. Buy the album and enjoy the songs and the people who hate it should respect that also. As for people who like the other material besides ETIAW and Paradise, they can decide if they want to get it or not and can get rid of those songs and add in MTM or something instead if they want. As for me, I'm really liking it so far. I'm really like the story of this concept album. Think about it, ETIAW and Paradise sound much better when thought as as a part of a story or concept. As standalone songs they may sound a little bad to some people but you have to connect the dots with all the other songs. I know some Coldplay fans aren't used to concept albums and may be a bit confused with this. As for me, thankfully I'm musically diverse enough that I can appreciate the new songs. :) EDIT: BTW, I loved The King of Limbs. It changed my perspective on life a bit.

Can you hear the Ooooo's?
Yes, it's pitched up probably so it wouldn't get taken down from YouTube.

What do you think of the new song 'Paradise'?
I'd probably rate it a 7.5 if I could. A very solid song. :)

Is the money and fame getting to Chris Martin's songwriting abilities??
I'm all about lyrics and such and I love all three of those lyric examples. Especially Violet Hill and UATW...Also really like Twisted Logic's lyrics. I just noticed how much I love UATW, and before I really didn't THAT much. Hmmm...I'm gonna go listen to it. See ya.

The xylophone part played by Guy and Chris in that video is in Paradise!
Pretty cool if you ask me. :)

Mylo Xyloto Preview on iTunes (Possible Singles?)
Well, there's no evidence of it but it could be hinting towards it. I'm guessing the following songs will all be singles: Hurts Like Heaven Charlie Brown Princess of China Up in Flames
-
Anyone else worried about the length?
Well just because it's 14 songs, doesn't mean it will an hour long, per se. I do think it will be around 45-47 minutes though. Something like... Mylo Xyloto: 1:45 Hurts Like Heaven: 4:00 Paradise: 4:38 Charlie Brown: 4:30 Us Against the World: 3:10 M.M.I.X.: 1:00 Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall: 4:00 Major Minus: 3:30 U.F.O.: 3:30 Princess of China: 3:45 Up in Flames: 4:00 A Hopeful Transmission: 0:45 Don't Let It Break Your Heart: 3:45 Up with the Birds: 4:45 Which equals out to around 45 minutes long more or less.

Expect to hear Paradise anytime soon today.
It's all good. :) I actually don't know if we will actually get to hear this today or ever...well until Monday. Not sure how strict the recording restrictions are so who knows we might not get to hear the live version of this concert.

Expect to hear Paradise anytime soon today.
It didn't leak. The guy uploaded a bunch of videos saying they were the real songs (all of which were the length of 4:16 btw) but if you go to his site which I don't recommend, it's not even the right tracklisting, 10 songs and not the right song names. Avoid.

Will they majorly change the setlist for the actual tour?
Exchange "Moving to Mars" with "U.F.O." every so often during the tour. :smug: Mylo Xyloto Hurts Like Heaven Yellow In My Place Paradise Princess of China Major Minus Lost! The Scientist Shiver Violet Hill God Put a Smile upon Your Face Up in Flames Moving to Mars Us Against the World Politik Viva la Vida Charlie Brown Twisted Logic _____________ Lovers in Japan Don't Panic Strawberry Swing Death and All His Friends _____________ Clocks Fix You Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall And then every once in a while during a leg of a tour do this. Mylo Xyloto Hurts Like Heaven Yellow In My Place Paradise Princess of China Major Minus Lost! 42 The Scientist Violet Hill God Put a Smile upon Your Face Us Against the World Politik Clocks Viva la Vida Everything's Not Lost _____________ Lovers in Japan A Hopeful Transmission Up with the Birds Life in Technicolor II _____________ Charlie Brown Fix You Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall

It's decent. Not great. Kind of harsh sounding, for lack of better words.

I think that comment was in reference to the person who asked about Beyoncé.

[9-July-2011] Coldplay @ T in the Park, Balado, Kinross-shire, Scotland
The show was just amazing. On par with Glastonbury or maybe even better. The band played the best version of Major Minus since Rock am Ring and Fix You was also great with Chris dedicating it to his mum. I'm loving the new version of GPASUYF and tonight's version was the best yet, I've never seen Will pound those drums as hard as he did tonight on that song. Guy also got a huge applause as he was in his home country and was really energized tonight. I felt the band and crowd really brought it tonight. Chris hasn't sounded so good live since probably near the end of the AROBTTH tour in 2003. GREAT effort by the band tonight.

Hmmm, would have to disagree there. It was very good/great quality for me. This coming from stream 2 on magictv.

It was fine for me. Perfect stream. What do you mean by interrupted?

Fix You was amazing. Chris was so into it as always, as was the band and crowd of course. His vocals on ETIAW has been solid so far too!

Jonny's riff right there never sounded so good.

Haha at the crowd going "HEY! HEY! HEY!" during the first part.
