hey, how would you feel about singing on an acoustic version of a coldplay song i recorded quite quickly for my mate to sing? i recorded Only Superstition & I Ran Away. You can say no, i won't be offended at all.., if you want too, just pm me and i can find a way of sending you the mp3s :)

I feel sorry for him, because of his addiction. I knew someone who was addicted to a few drugs, and it wasn't a pretty sight. I don't really like all the media attention it's getting though, i wish they'd let him be, until he sorts himself out, surely the media can only be a hassle for him. i'm kind of sick of hearing about him too

I want one of those sticks that you can wave over things, that turns opinions into facts. haha, sorry for being a sarcastic twat. you're of course allowed your own opinion, and I don't really mind it :) but, i think, there's others on this board, already phoning up a Hit Man to come for you :P :D But...Kid A isn't Classical Stuff :/ i don't really think they'd want to make a Kid A album anyway....they aren't really that sort of band. Also, Radiohead didn't show any hinting towards a Kid A album with their first 2 albums Pablo Honey and The Bends. So maybe we'll see which kind of direction coldplay want to go too. Thom Yorke seems to want to explore a lot more muscially than Chris Martin from what i've noticed so far, but we've only had 2 albums from Coldplay, so in 5 years time, who knows :) welcome to the board yipuxia

HEY....last night, someone i barely know, sent me and my friend a text, saying she couldn't go to see Athlete in Newcastle at the Baltic. So me and My friend, Luke, got to see Athlete. It was Excellent. It was really hard to get the tickets apparently, you had to search around, or be 'in the know'. they're playing another small gig tomorrow, Feb 6th: Liverpool, Bar & Grill. you can get tickets from these places if you know where they are, and IF [that's an Insanely BIG IF] the tickets are not sold out.: Quirks Records, Crosby, Formby, Ormskirk, Quantum Records. The Sound was one of the best live sounds i've heard, it was in quite an exclusive place, and there was only around 150 people allowed to be in the gig. I think i liked the gig even more because i wasn't expecting to go, the adrenalin that went around my body was insane, i felt like i was going to pop...especially when they played things from the first album, because i've not really heard the new album yet. :D

Well, either way, it might be good to have on this forum :) Maybe try giving it to Ian, and Ian can host it, then other people can try and find out how to play it. I'm sure there's some people on the board that might be able to help. The more people trying the better :smart:

also worked with MEW...:D but that aside..i think on Clocks and A Whisper, he didn't quite get the sound right. although, all the other tracks from other albums, i like. But clocks doesn't seem to Kick In enough for me...and i've just grown to like it for how it is now, but when i first got the album, and heard this song..i remember thinking when all instruments are in, it didn't have a big impact. also, a Whisper, the Snare drum is hardly picked up. Maybe this is the way it was intended and wanted by the band too. I just would have chosen otherwise :) But...with songs like In My Place, there's an exceptional production on that...especially for the few amount of instruments playing..the drums Sound Massive.

ah Nick Saunders, i think i have downloaded some of your covers before, from various sharing programs before. have you covered other bands like Oasis and The Verve etc..? I remember your name sticking in my head because the Oasis tracks that were covered were b-sides that i'd not really realised that TOO many people would have even heard of or liked. anyway...is That You? :)

i think i'd ask my wife to not see so much of someone who was addicted to drugs...especially if I had a kid, it's the responsible thing to do, even more so because they're famous, and i imagine a lot more drugs would be so much more easier to get a hold of. that's my bit :bow:

also...isn't their albums contract over with now? or is that after the next album? i'm sure i read somewhere about it being over after Hail To The Thief. If so, that means they don't have to make any more music at all, or they can churn out the most diverse sounding music they've ever made.

ah, the Next band i'm going to see is Interpol on the 9th of April. I'm not sure who is supporting [it is has been announced, then if anyone has any information about this, i'd love to know]. It's at Brixton Academy, i saw Zero 7 there and it was an amazing building, it slopes upwards, so that the little fellas and people at the back can still see. Is anyone else going to this? :fireman:

i think the album in parts will have a dark feel to it, and have a few songs that take more than 1 listen to like them. I often find that sometimes the best music is like that!

ha..i like it :cool: I have a reversed version of the album, and never noticed that! i don't think it will have been in purpose...but it's still fun to hear things like that!

i've seen picture of them singing together, at some private party..but i highly doubt they would put anything on record.
