  1. They're going to be such great shows. I really can't wait. :D
  2. Glad to hear everyone was successful! Such a stressful morning on my end -- of course my ISP had to attend to some "emergency maintenance" right around the time tickets were made available -- but I ended up scoring a couple of great seats in Bay 11. Couldn't be any happier with that pre-sale purchase, I don't think. :D
  3. Did anyone purchase their pre-sale tickets internationally? I tried from home here in Melbourne, and each time I went to complete my order, I would eventually be met with "there was a problem processing your request". I lost three sets of great tickets. Killed me. The only reassuring thing is knowing there will be two more chances to secure tickets. I'm in contact with Ticketmaster NZ now, but I was interested to know if anyone was actually able to successfully buy their tickets from an international location? ETA: ...and I've just realised it was an oversight on my behalf -- make sure your billing information is up-to-date. Stupid, stupid me.
  4. Are you heading to the Melbourne show, Cobalt? Or is your attendance banking on the prices? Think you're spot-on with the nosebleed price, but it wouldn't surprise me if GA was $99.00, also. (SN: I seriously don't understand why dates and venues are announced, but prices and seating charts we still have to wait for. Irks the crap out of me).
  5. Yeah, I'm surprised Perth and Adelaide haven't been included. I know that Adelaide is frequently left off the tour schedule, but given the amount of shows they played the last time they were out here, I thought for sure they'd hit five of the six states. I suppose I can't really complain when they're coming to my hometown and I know I'll be seeing them either way, though. I just want to extend the experience for as long as possible. And yeah, it was always going to be the next step. It's going to be absolutely incredible either way, I know that. And with a huge crowd like that, the Xyolobands are going to look insane.
  6. You know, if I recall correctly, I think U2 may have even done three Melbourne shows. I definitely think Coldplay has enough of a following to call for at least two shows in Melbourne and Sydney. And I can't see why Brisbane wouldn't be the same. I am really, really pulling for more shows.
  7. Like the general sale, seats are automatically allocated for you. How it works is that you'll signify the amount of tickets you wish to purchase and then you'll hit something like "Find Tickets" and selected for you will be the "next best available". In a sense it is first in, best dressed; it just comes down to which tickets are still on offer. Not sure how well-versed you are with pre-sales, but just as general information: only a relatively small percentage of tickets are offered, so once they've been exhausted or the sale has ended, it's back to waiting for the general sale. And the pre-sale doesn't mean you'll be getting the offer of all the best seats first -- it's still a random selection of tickets. It's more about being given the opportunity to purchase tickets sooner, and hopefully, with less people to contend with (given it's narrowed down to Visa customers only). :)
  8. Yeah, the stadiums are massive. I think they can sell them out, though, or at least get extraordinarily close. I'm really hoping we get at least one more date for both Melbourne and Sydney -- their travel itinerary certainly allows for it. Another New Zealand date would be great, too. I just want them to do as many shows as possible! :P For me, I think ticket buying is literally the most horrible part of the entire experience. Especially when it's someone you really, really, really want to see. I get so nervous and tetchy, I barely know what to do with myself until either that confirmation email is sitting in my inbox or I have the printed tickets in my hand. I stress for days beforehand trying to decide if I should purchase online or just head in to the actual ticketing outlet and go from there. I find it such a stressful process. I'm not looking forward to that, at all. :stunned:
  9. I think it's probably more likely you'll need to start saving for interstate, unfortunately. If they were going to head to Perth, I feel like they'd have announced it with this first lot of shows. That's not to say there isn't the possibility of demand/outcry becoming so great that good old WA ends up being added to their itinerary. I'd say the chance is pretty small, though. I wish they were heading over there; I was looking forward to visiting Perth. I'm so torn on the whole stadium thing -- on the one hand, I love that I can say Coldplay are hitting them up over here in Australia, but I love the intimacy and size of venues like Rod Laver Arena. And I've had experience with the arenas -- which tickets to go for, what the view will be like from where, when to line up, where to line up, etc. I'm going to stress the hell out with the stadiums. Also, it's seemingly meant less shows with these larger venues; I was all ready to fork out for at least 11 different shows over Australia/New Zealand, and this first announcement has only reached four. I'm certain we'll be getting a few more dates, but still -- it's going to be over so quickly.
  10. Best Mother's Day ever, in my opinion (not that I'm a mum). :D Expecting to see a couple more dates added, especially for Melbourne and Sydney. Can't wait, though! Pretty sure I'll be heading to all the shows -- New Zealand, too. Just have to find someone to go with for each night/state. :)
  11. Hey jnickel, I'd be happy to take one off your hands? And I'm more than happy to transfer over the cost for postage. I'm located in Australia. Shoot us a PM if you'd like. :)
  12. Finally! This had better be it. My hopes are officially up. :D
  13. Yeah, as much as I am proud to finally be able to say that Coldplay are now playing stadiums in Australia, I've kind of loved the intimacy of the arenas. So my problem really isn't with the money, then, but with the scale of the venue. I think it would be something great to experience, but on the whole? I know I'll miss things being a little smaller. All that said, though -- I'm going one up and moving on from seeing all shows in one state to seeing all shows in Australia. A jump in ticket prices is not going to stop me from travelling the country to see them. Excessive? Probably, yeah. Absolutely worth it? Fuck, yes. I cannot wait.
  14. Wow. According to that article you posted, Tash, Coldplay will be moving on from the arenas and starting to hit up the stadiums -- in Melbourne, anyway. And I want a set of those tickets. Bad. :P
  15. Well, as far as I'm aware, they're booked up until about the end of September. So, anywhere between October and December is my guess. I'm so happy, I could cry. Greatest news. :)
  16. No. Effing. Way. I was fully prepared to accept that they wouldn't be here until next year sometime. So now I am totally squee'ing my pants off. If this is true... I'm going to die. :D
  17. I'd love to be included in the draw. I've been trying for ages to get a copy as a surprise for my friend. This is a great idea, thank you! :)
  18. Would love a Xyloband, if possible. I'm in Melbourne, Australia. :)
  19. Yeah, from the moment I heard them I thought they were amazing. They remind me of Bon Iver. I really, really love this song. Thinking it might be my favourite from the album. At least, of the songs we hadn't heard.
  20. Yep, mine are cut off, too.
  21. You know, I completely agree with this. I really do love every track, and I think the placement of all the songs is really brilliant, but halfway through -- when I was overwhelmed with pride and love for the boys -- I really wished I'd held out and refrained from listening to any of the new stuff. I've promised myself I'll do exactly that for LP6. I love this album. So much.
  22. This gave me goosebumps. I love the use of the MX melody; it reminds me of something that could be used as a film score. So beautiful, and definitely a perfect interlude to DLIBYH.
  23. Had trouble with that too, AI. I'd select the ETIAW font and then about 3 characters in, it would randomly change to something different. I found it easiest to just type out the corresponding characters in something like Times New Roman and then just highlight and change to the ETIAW font. In the end, I did that and then made brushes out of each individual symbol so I wouldn't need to repeat the above again. Hope that helps. :) *These are all the characters for each symbol: @ # $ % ¨ & * ( ) ¹ ² ³ £ ¢
