Lyrics
I lurve lurve this song... "Glory Box" Portishead I'm so tired of playing, Playing with this bow and arrow, Gonna give my heart away, Leave it to the other girls to play, For I've been a temptress too long. Hmm just, Give me a reason to love you, Give me a reason to be, A woman, I just wanna be a woman. From this time, unchained, We’re all looking at a different picture, Through this new frame of mind, A thousand flowers could bloom, Move over, and give us some room. Yeah, give me a reason to love you, Give me a reason to be, A woman, I just want to be a woman. So don't you stop, being a man, Just take a little look from our side when you can, Sow a little tenderness, No matter if you cry. Give me a reason to love you, Give me a reason to be, A woman, It's all I wanna be is all woman. For this is the beginning of forever and ever, It's time to move over , So I want to be. I'm so tired of playing, Playing with this bow and arrow, Gonna give my heart away, Leave it to the other girls to play. For I've been a temptress too long. Hmm just, Give me a reason to love you.

Damien Rice
Oh good lord. I love Damien Rice like I love having both my legs. He's just...aii. "O" lives in my CD player.

Steph, you are such a dork. *pets* But that's why we love you. Or something like that. I dunno.

what the fuck
See, I'm not punk, but I was raised on punk music. My dad's a huge Dead Kennedys and Clash fan and my parents have both seen the Sex Pistols. I've always been around it. Which is why mom got in a fight with some poser in an SP shirt at my school. She looked at him and said, "I've actually *seen* the Sex Pistols. I have Johnny Rotten's snot in my hair. What have you done?" He didn't have an answer. Obviously.

The OC
I'm pretty much with ya Steph - I hate all the trash people talk about the 909 like it's some huge hickville because it's not true. Of course, either way, the show intrigues me but I don't really care to actually watch it. And why do Kevin and Bean hate the 909 so much? *whimper* It's not right. :(

John Mayer
John Mayer = my God. He really is. He makes some weird faces when he plays, but his music is just incendiary. His lyrics are amazing and he's got more talent with that guitar than he lets on on his CDs. When he jams, it's just like ... *dies*

Pearl Jam
My mom worships the ground Eddie Vedder walks on, so I was taught at a very young age to do the same. We have all of the albums, and some we have more than one copy of. Like Ten. We have Ten on vinyl, cassette, and CD. Because we're scary like that.

Counting Crows
Adam Duritz is such a wonderful lyricist. I'm so ecstatic that I get to see them because they are just fantabulous.
-
Idlewild
I know they opened for Pearl Jam when I went, but we got inside after they'd already performed (fucken long line to get in). I've never heard any of their stuff.
-
John Mayer
I absolutely adore both of them. They're such brilliant musicians.

what was your first precious record ever bought?
I don't remember the first CD anyone ever bought me, but the first one I bought myself was "Yourself or Someone Like You" by Matchbox 20. I was in the fourth grade. I still listen to it all the time.

Lyrics
Never Is A Promise - Fiona Apple You'll never see The courage I know Its colors' richness won't Appear within your view I'll never glow The way that you glow Your presence dominates The judgements made on you But as the scenery grows I see in different lights The shades and shadows Undulate in my perception My feelings swell and stretch I see from greater heights I understand what I am still Too proud to mention To you You'll say you understand But you don't understand You'll say you'd never Give up seeing eye to eye But never is a promise And you can't afford to lie You'll never touch These things that I hold The skin of my emotions Lies beneath my own You'll never feel The heat of this soul My fever burns me deeper Than I've ever shown To you You'll say Don't fear your dreams It's easier than it seems You'll say you'd never Let me fall from hopes so high But never is a promise And you can't afford to lie You'll never live The life that I live I'll never live the life That wakes me in the night You'll never hear The message I give Youy'll say it looks as though I might give up this fight But as the scenery grows I see in different lights The shades and shadows Undulate in my perception My feelings swell and stretch I see from greater heights I realise what I am now Too smart to mention To you You'll say you understand You'll never understand I'll say I'll never wake up Knowing how or why I don't know what To believe in You won't know who I am You'll say I need appeasing When I start to cry But never is a promise And I'll never need a lie

ever notice fuckups on records you're listening to?
I can't remember which U2 song (I think it's Lemon) it is, but in the very beginning you can hear Larry ask what song it is that they're playing milliseconds before they start. It's kinda entertaining.

Josh Groban
I adore his voice. It gives me these really good chills. That CD has a perma-spot either in or near my CD player.
