it's pretty crazy how well they matched the music with the emotions of the lyrics in this song. i mean they are good at that with all their songs but i feel like this one in particular is really strong in that aspect..

it's absolutely ridiculous that the patriots didnt make the playoffs. i can't even enjoy them now because all i think about is how the patriots could definately beat any of the teams still playing. tell me how this is fair... the chargers get to go to the playoffs with an 8-8 record... the pats dont with an 11-5 record... and THEN the chargers get a better draft pick than the pats. it's so stupid!!!

NO. it's actually a very bad quality of mine. i get REALLY competitive even about small things and sometimes if i lose something i have a hard time even being nice to the person/people who beat me... even if theyre my friends!

viva la vida is one of my all time favorites but no offense to the video it kinda sucks. i just think its boring im surprised it got so high in that countdown...

i tried to hear it before school at 715am but the site had crashed and the radio 1 website wasn't working for me either. so i had to go to school before listening and i was in the WORST mood and all day it was all i could think about. finally, i got home and i still hadnt gotten the email so i had to listen to it ON THEIR MYSPACE and the first time i wasnt sure and the second time i listened my eyes were watering during the piano coda at the very end. such a rewarding experience...

we watched shakespeare in love in shakespeare class a few weeks ago... and there are scenes where gwyneth is nude... and i just found it funny that i was looking at chris's wife naked.... maybe i'm kind of immature??? haha...

this pumped me up so much!! i fucking love how satriani was all immature about it and then coldplay completely showed him up with this well put together statement while still defending themselves. i really dont think satriani stands a chance at winning this. first of all the songs arent that similar and secondly coldplay will be able to get a lot more people to help them. im happy they finally said something though.

i really wish i could go to one of these shows more than literally ANYTHING. but i just dont think it will be possible because it will be my first month of college and stuff and i just dont think id be able to afford or work out a trip to london. i wish they could have put these shows sometime in august or something.

i absolutely HATE sundays. they are always so depressing because all i think about is the upcoming school week. ive hated them for my whollle life.

i havent read the rest of this thread so i dont really know what everyone else is saying... but in my opinon the only similarity is 3 notes played in the same pattern. like the parts where chris sings 'rule THE world' and 'roll THE dice'. but literally nothing else about these songs are similar. there is nothing at all in satriani's song that sounds like the chorus of VlV (hear jerusalem bells a ringin...) and all of the lyrics are 100% thought of by coldplay. so i think its absolutely fucking ridiculous that this guy is sueing for plagiarism when literally 3 notes that are repeated throughout the song happen to be the same and THATS IT. this jus pisses me off soo much...

they took it off the album because they didnt want another obvious single ON THE ALBUM. they never said 'we dont want to make this song a single'. they just thought it didnt fit Viva so they put it on the EP. idk why people are upset about this... we eventually got LiTii so what difference does it make? IMO the original LiT fits a LOT better on Viva and i might even like it better. and its not gunna be the video we've already seen because that video is for the original LiT.
